A comparative study on user interface experience, product attitudes and intention to repurchase for each smartphone manufacturer (스마트폰 제조사별 UI(User Interface)경험과 제품태도 및 재구매의도에 관한 비교 연구)

  • This study aimed to identify empirically the differences of user interface experience factors for such manufacturers as Samsung, LG, Sky, Apple, etc., which are fiercely competing in the mobile market at home and abroad. In addition, this study aimed to verify how different the impact of such user interface experience factors on product attitudes and intention to repurchase would be for each manufacturer. As a result of the study, it was verified that there was a difference in the user experience between the manufacturers for all of the factors forming user satisfaction experience, which included information, interaction, useful experience and design experience satisfaction. Second, it was also verified that there was a difference between the manufacturers in terms of product attitudes. Lastly, it was verified that there was a difference between the manufacturers in terms of intention to repurchase. Specifically, it was found that Samsung had a higher degree of intention to repurchase than LG and Sky, whereas Apple had a higher degree hereof then Samsung. It is expected that the above results of study will provide the aforementioned manufacturers useful implications for establishing UI strategies through the contemplation of differences for each manufacturer in addition to the expansion of studies related to UI experience.

  • This study intends to look into the perception gap among Korean and Chinese consumers regarding the product attitudes toward smart phones and repurchase intention as well as the user experience. First, this study showed that there are gaps among Korean and Chinese consumers, regarding smart phones, toward their experiences of usage satisfaction, usefulness, design satisfaction, and evaluation from other people and that Chinese consumers have higher awareness of every experience element concerning UI than Korean consumers. Second, concerning the difference in the product attitudes toward smart phones, it turns out that Chinese consumers also have higher awareness of it than Korean consumers. Third, regarding the difference in repurchase intention for smart phones among Korean and Chinese consumers, this study shows that Chinese consumers are likely to have more intention than Korean consumers. because their average value is higher than Korean consumers' even though the difference are not statistically significant. This study is expected to have academic meaning(significance) for providing basic materials of comparative study between two countries regarding the user experience about smart phone as well as some useful implications for the competitive power improvement of Korean smart phone related companies in China.

  • As the development of the Internet in China has led to the active shopping of the internet, the number of Chinese internet users and online shopping malls is increasing rapidly. Chinese internet shopping malls are experiencing satisfaction and discontent with their websites. Research has focused on the satisfaction of customers using internet shopping malls and internet shopping malls reported complaints to users as complaints about products and websites. The study looked at seven area Chinese internet users (Beijing, Harbin, Shenyang, Ganssu, Xian, Shanghai and Henan). The effect of product complaints and site complaints on shopping attitudes and behaviors of internet shopping users was studied, and economic benefits were studied as a control variable. As a result, There was no effect on controlling the economic benefits of the complaint against the product, but the controlling the economic benefits of the complaint on the site was effect. About 83 percent of those surveyed were in their 20s and 30s who had experience shopping online and in internet. And It is intended to present theoretical reviews and guidelines for Korean internet shopping malls operating here, as they plan to expand to China by analyzing their internet shopping mall users.

Consumer Perceptions and Attitudes towards Reducing Sugar Intake (당류 저감화에 대한 소비자 인식 및 태도)

  • This study attempted to investigate consumer perceptions and attitudes towards reducing sugar intake by providing data to develop guidelines for the government and food-related industries to encourage Korean consumers to maintain appropriate levels of sugar intake. A survey was conducted on 238 adult consumers regarding their purchasing power for products with high sugar content in Seoul and Bundang, Gyeonggi area from September 1~30, 2013. Nutritional information on sugary products had a greater impact than media and others' recommendations on consumer awareness regarding need to reduce sugar intake. External factors such as health and weight control were stronger reasons for consuming reduced amounts of sugar or sugar-free products than internal factors such as sweetness. However, internal factors-such as taste-did not have a greater effect on consuming reduced amounts of sugar or sugar-free products than environmental factors-such as absence of purchase channels. Consumers indicated higher acceptance for 50% reduction in sweetness of existing commercial products. Regarding methods of lowering sugar intake, sugar replacement and reducing sugar consumption both generally and at home were preferred. In addition, consumers were likely to pay 10~14% more for sugar-reduced products than for existing products. Overall, consumers expressed positive attitudes towards reducing sugar intake in the future, although those in their twenties tended to be more passive than other age groups.

  • 기술 로드맵(technology roadmap)은 기업의 사업전략을 기술계획에 반영하고 기술을 제품, 시장과 연결하는 기술기획 방법론이다. 기존의 연구들은 기술 로드맵의 전략적 효과에 대한 정성적 분석이나 기본적인 이해를 돕기 위한 연구에 치우쳐 있어, 구체적인 작성과정이나 작성과정에 포함되는 의사결정을 지원하는 방법론 개발에 대한 연구는 부족했다. 이에 본 연구는 QFD(Quality Function Deployment)와 웹 기반 시스템의 설계를 통해 기술 로드맵 작성과정을 지원하는 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. 구체적으로는 우선 QFD를 활용하여 고객동인(market driver)과 제품 동인(product driver), 제품 동인과 기술 동인(technology driver)의 연결고리를 발견하고 다음으로 전략적 의사결정을 위한 대안을 평가하는 과정으로 구성된다. 마지막으로 제안한 방법론을 구현하는 웹 기반의 시스템을 소개한다. 웹 기반 시스템과 QFD의 도입으로, 의사결정을 지원하는 체계적인 틀을 제공하고 기술로드맵 작성과정을 보다 효율적으로 수행할 수 있도록 하는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는 음성 인식 기술을 적용해서 시범적으로 영어 학습 제품을 제작하고 이것을 현장에 적용한 후 설문과 관찰을 통해 결과를 해석하는 Pilot Test로 계획되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 음성 인식 영어 학습 제품 사용 후, 학생들의 학습태도 변화를 확인하고, 실험에 참가한 회원, 학부모, 교사의 만족도를 조사하고, 영어 교육학 전공자를 통해서 음성인식 영어 학습 제품의 완성도를 조사 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 data 들은 음성 인식 기술의 제품 적용 가능성을 검증해 주고, 향후 사업화 추진을 위한 근거 자료나 기초 자료로서의 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다.

The Effects of Country-of-origin image of Beef on Consumer's Quality Perception, Attitude and Purchase Intention (쇠고기 원산지 이미지가 소비자 품질지각, 태도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of the country of origin image of beef on consumers quality perception, attitude and purchase intention. In order to conduct the research, 300 questionnaires were distributed to consumers who have purchased beef in Seoul during a two-week period from December $27^{th}$, 2010 to January $10^{th}$, 2011, but only 244 were analyzed for this study. The results are as followed First, country - of-origin image of beef had significant relations with consumers quality perception, attitude and purchase intention. Second, consumers quality perception had positive relations with attitude and purchasing intention. Third, consumer's attitude had positive influence on purchasing intention. In order to enhance the country-of-origin image of beef, cows should be raised in an environmentally friendly way. Having regular checkups and using good quality feed would produce reliable products. As well, in order to strengthen the image of beef, aggressive marketing strategies are also recommended.

  • This study analyzes the attitude toward new products through case studies. The contents of the case study applied to the study were analyzed about the attitude of the new product to the recently screened movie "Sanguiwon(the royal tailor)". The court was an institution that oversees the clothes of the royal family in the Chosun Dynasty. In a conservative and closed market environment, attitudes toward acceptance of new products are strongly influenced by internal and external factors. Authoritative and conservative attitudes to secure competitive advantage in existing markets ultimately hamper the acceptance of new products or cause externalities. Eventually, innovative resistance to new products emerges. On the other hand, the acceptance of new products in an open market will form an attitude toward new products, once they form a respectful attitude towards their own benefit or attitude. These market leaders, depending on the way they pursue their values, form an attitude to adhere to their products or accept innovation. The validity of this study was verified through other cases. Ultimately, success in the market for new products suggests that success can only be achieved by understanding the delivery of value to consumers.

Factors Influencing the Consumer Attitude toward Product Purchasing Related to Chinese Personal Internet Broadcasting Wang Hong (인터넷 개인 방송 왕홍을 통한 제품 구매와 관련된 중국 소비자 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study investigates Chinese consumers who have recently purchased products through internet personal broadcasting of Wang Hong and explores how factors related to Wang Hong, broadcasting contents, and products affect purchasing satisfaction of consumers. The present study also examines whether this satisfaction affects the consumer loyalty to the shopping through the Wang Hong in the future. The results indicated that consumers' perception of the informational level rather than entertainment level of broadcasting contents had significant effects on the product satisfaction. The perceived uniqueness and credibility of Wang Hong were found to have positive impacts. In terms of products, the more consumers perceived the product to fit their images or values, and the higher the fit between the images of Wang Hong and the endorsed product, the higher the satisfaction with the product. Product satisfaction increased the customer loyalty, including the intention of repurchasing products endorsed by the Wang Hong.

Interaction Effects of Crisis Responsibility and SNS Interactivity on Acceptances of Crisis Response Strategies in the case of CEO in Crisis (CEO 위기책임성과 SNS 상호작용성이 위기 대응 전략 인식에 미치는 영향)

  • Previous crisis management research has mainly focused on business organizations' responsibility for crises, and yet research on CEOs in crisis still lacks. This research examined the influences of crisis responsibility and response strategies on attitudes toward a CEO, attitudes toward a corporate, and purchase intentions in the case of CEOs in crisis. In addition, this study explored how a CEO's SNS interactivity during normal times moderates the influences of crisis responsibility and response strategies. A 2(responsibility: high vs. low)X2(strategy: defensive vs. apology)X2(interactivity: high vs. low) experimental design was conducted with 200 Chinese students in Seoul. According to the analysis results from effects of response strategies by CEO's crisis responsibility levels, regardless of the crisis responsibility levels, the apology strategy was more effective than the defensive strategy in terms of CEO attitudes, corporate attitudes, and purchasing intentions. The analysis results about the moderating role of SNS interactivity during normal times show that under the CEO's high responsibility condition, keeping high SNS interactivity during normal times and using the apology after crisis brought out most favorable responses. Under the CEO's low responsibility condition, regardless of the SNS interactivity levels, the apology strategy brought out more favorable responses than the defensive strategy.
