Effective Boundary Conditions for FEM Analysis of Composite Laminates (복합재료 적층판의 유한요소 해석을 위한 효율적 경계조건)

  • This paper presents three boundary techniques which are useful for FEM analysis of composite laminates: 1) a rotational symmetric boundary technique . 2) a quasi three-dimensional boundary technique and 3) a contact boundary technique. The use of the rotational symmetric boundary technique is possible for a smaller FEM model. With the use of the quasi three-dimensional boundary tecnique. quasi three dimensional analysis of composite laminates can be performed on the conventional 3-D FEM program These techniques can readily be adopted to FEM programs.

  • 고분자 전해질형 연료전지의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 막-전극 어셈블리 제조시 hot-pressing 온도와 압력조건을 변화시켜며 단위전지 성능을 관찰하였으며 이에 대한 분석은 열무게분석법(TGA), 기공도, 이온투과계수 등을 사용하였다. 또한 전지의 작동온도 및 압력을 변화시켜가며 전지의 성능을 관찰하였다. 성능 실험은 가습기의 온도와 cell의 온도, 압력을 변화시켜가며 측정하였다.

  • The PLT thin films on (100) cleaved MgO single crystal substrate have been fabricated by rf magnetron sputtering using a PbO-rich target. The dependence of physical and electrical properties on the degree of c-axis orientation has been studied. The degree of c-axis orientation of PLT thin films depends on fabrication conditions. Fabrication conditions of the PLT thin films were such that substrate temperature, working pressure, gas ratio of $Ar/O_{2}$, and rf power density were $640^{\circ}C$, 10 mTorr, 10 seem, and $1.7\;W/cm^{2}$, respectively. In these conditions, the PLT thin film showed the Pb/Ti ratio of 1/2 at the surface, the resistivity of $8{\times}10^{11}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, and dielectric constant of 110. The pyroelectric infrared sensors with these PLT thin films showed the peak to peak voltage of 450 m V and signal to noise ratio of 7.2.

  • 전력에 큰 손실을 초래하는 고장전류를 차단하기 위한 한류기(FCL) 소재로서 고온 초전도체인 BSCCO 2212가 사용된다. 고온에서 용융된 BSCCO 2212 분말은 원심성형법에 의해 한류기용 튜브로 제조되었다. BSCCO 튜브의 기계적 특성을 높이고 용융온도를 낮추기 위해 $SrSO_4$(10wt-%)를 첨가하였다. 용탕은 $1200^{\circ}C$에서 완전히 용융되어 금속 몰드로 주입되었고 원심성형에 사용되는 금속 몰드는 $550^{\circ}C$ 온도로 2시간 예열 후 1020 ~ 2520 RPM으로 회전시켰다. 원심력에 의해 성형된 BSCCO 튜브는 약 48시간 동안 로에서 서냉 후 금속 몰드로부터 분리하였다. 튜브의 용이한 분리를 위해 이형제로서 BSCCO 2212 powder를 사용하였고 임계전류측정을 고려하여 Ag tape 단자를 튜브 끝단에 부착하였다. BSCCO 제조 공정에 있어서 몰드의 예열온도, 용융온도, 몰드 회전속도 등의 변수를 조절하여 최적의 조건을 확립하였다. 제조한 BSCCO 튜브의 임계전류($I_c$)와 임계전류밀도($J_c$)는 77K에서 536A와 $205A/cm^2$ 이었다. 본 연구에서는 BSCCO 2212 튜브를 제조하는 공정조건 변화와 각 조건에서 제조된 BSCCO 2212 튜브의 전기적 특성 및 그에 따른 분석에 대해 기술하였다.

Preparation of Porous K2Ti6O13 Whisker Preform by Spark Plasma Sintering (방전 플라즈마 소결법에 의한 다공성 육티탄산 칼륨 휘스커 프리폼의 제조)

  • In order to develope the porous $K_2Ti_6O_13$ whisker preform with good strength, the pore characteristics and compressive strength were investigated as a function of spark plasma sintering temperature. As a result, high porous whisker preform were successfully fabricated by sintering at 900∼950${\circ}C$ for 10 min under a pressure of 40 MPa, heating rate of 50${\circ}C$/min and on-off pulse type of 12:2. The whisker preform prepared under above optimum condition showed relatively high compressive strength of 174∼266 MPa, despite of high porosity ranging from 15% to 37%. This improvement in strength was considered to be mainly due to the spark-plasma discharges and the self-heating action between whiskers. The compressive strength of whisker preform, fabricated at sintering temperature less than 900${\circ}C$, showed 80∼100 MPa. This is low strength level less than one half times compared with whisker preform fabricated at 900∼950${\circ}C$. The whisker preform fabricated at 1000${\circ}C$ showed the highest compressive strength of 523 MPa, but resulted in low porosity of ∼5%. Based on above results, it was considered that spark plasma sintering was an effective method for developing high strength and porosity of whisker preform.

Optimization of Preparation Conditions and Quality Characteristics of Sweet Pumpkin Stock (단호박 스톡 제조조건의 최적화 및 품질 특성)

  • The stock that is the first step for preparation of soups and purees links to the taste of food. Many types of vegetable have been used in stocks, but this study focused on stocks prepared with sweet pumpkin. The stock preparation conditions including the weight of sweet pumpkin, the water volume, and the boiling time at $97^{\circ}C$ were optimized by response surface methodology. The quality characteristics of the resulting stock were investigated. The color, flavor, taste and overall acceptability were dependent parameters. A model equation was proposed with regard to the sweet pumpkin weight, water volume, and boiling time at $97^{\circ}C$. A sweet pumpkin weight of 357.9 to 403.0 g, a water volume of 689.8 to 768.5 mL, and a boiling time of 9.9 to 10.3 min at $97^{\circ}C$ were found to be the optimal stock preparation conditions. The quality characteristics of the sweet pumpkin stock prepared under the optimized conditions were pH 6.64, total acidity 0.18%, soluble solids $2.39\;^{\circ}Brix$, color value (L, 99.07 a, -2.43 b, 11.82), total polyphenol 280.75 mg/L, and electron donating ability 21.32%.

  • This study was performed to encapsulate low molecular weight marine collagen and ${\gamma}$-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-producing lactic acid bacteria to inhibit degradation and improve survival rate during exposure to adverse conditions of the gastro-intestinal tract. Calcium-alginate method was used for the manufacture of a double-layered coated capsule. The inner core material was composed of collagen and lactic acid bacteria, and the coating materials were alginate and chitosan. The sizes and shapes of the double-coated capsule were affected mainly by centrifuge speed and pH. Manufactured capsules were observed with a scanning electron microscope and by confocal laser scanning microscopy to confirm the micromorphological changes of capsules and bacterial cells. As a result, double-layered coated capsules were not degraded at pH 1.2, whereas degradation occurred at pH 7.4. In addition, GABA and collagen were maintained in stable state at pH 1.2. Therefore, double-layered coated capsules developed in this study would not be degraded in the stomach and could be stably delivered to the small intestine to benefit intestinal and dermatic health.
