  • Indian mallow is characterized by the rapid growth and high harvest of the fibrous materials. This study was carried out to investigate the sheet properties of Hanji using Indian mallow, made by different pulping methods, such as alkali and sulfomethylated pulpings and different stock compositions, various mixing ratios of bast fiber, woody core and whole stalk fibers. The results from this study were summarized as follows. The length and width of the bast fibers were 1.40-430 mm(av. 235 mm), and 9.2-26.4 ㎛(av.18.3 ㎛), respectively. The cell wall thickness was 4.0-115 ㎛(av. 7.7 ㎛). Runkel ratio, flexibility coefficient and fiber length/fiber width ratio were 1.38, 0.42 and 128 respectively. Bast fiber and whole stalk were cooked by alkali and sulfomethylated methods. Sulfomethylated pulping resulted in superior pulp in terms of yield and quality as compared with those of alkali pulping. Effect on the Physical Properties of Bio-Plastic Sheet Adding Corn Husk Which was Byproduct of Food Assets (식량자산 부산물인 옥수수 피 첨가가 바이오 플라스틱 시트의 물성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the characteristics for the optimal concentration of addition of the mixing solution through the corn husk pulverization and surface modification of biomass byproducts adding mixed solution between ESO and silane. And surveyed the specific surface area, water absorption, particle size and physical properties of bio- degradable plastic sheet. The specific surface area was 1.105 m2/g, particle size was the highest at 19 ㎛. The impact strength, tensile strength, elongation and hardness of plastic sheet showed the highest at the 1% concentration among the mixing solutions. The flexural strength and modulus was high according to the increasing the mixing solution. The results above showed that it was the best the adding 1% of mixed solution after silane treatment of corn husks for its manufacture as a bio-based plastic sheet.

A Study on Characteristics of Polymer Organic Hard Mask Synthesis (고분자 유기하드마스크 합성에 따른 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper was to synthesize a polymer organic hard mask that simplifies the manufacturing process, reduces process time significantly, and thereby lowers manufacturing costs. The results of measuring residual metals through vapor refining showed that 9-Naphthalen-1-ylcarbazole(9-NC) measured 101.75ppb in the 4th zone, 2-Naphthol (2-NA) measured 306.98ppb in the 5th zone, and 9-Fluorenone(9-F) measured between 129.05ppb across the 4th and 5th zones. After passing through a filtration system, the synthesized organic hard mask measured residual metals in the range of 9 to 7ppb. Additionally, the thermal analysis indicated a decrease of 2.78%, a molecular weight of 942, carbon content of 89.74%, and a yield of 72.4%. The etching rate was measured at an average of 18.22Å/s, and the coating thickness deviation was averaged at 1.19. For particle sizes below 0.2㎛ in the organic hard mask, no particles were observed. By varying the coating speed at 1,000, 1,500, and 1,800rpm and measuring the resulting coating thickness, the shrinkage rate ranged from 17.9% to 20.8%. The coating results demonstrated excellent adhesion to SiON, and it was evident that the organic hard mask was uniformly applied.

Preparation and Keeping Quality of Canned Sea Mussel using Tomato Paste (토마토 페이스트 첨가 홍합통조림의 제조 및 저장중의 품질 안전성)

  • This study was investigated for the purpose of obtaining basic data which can be applied to processing of canned sea mussel using tomato paste. Shell were washed, and then steamed and shucked. Sea mussel meat was prepared with ratio of sea mussel 90g, tomato paste sauce 65g(tomato paste 42%, gum guar 1.0%, salt 2.0%, starch syrup 2.0%, cooking wine 1%, water 52%). The sea mussel meats were packed with vacuum seamer in 301-3 can, and then sterilized for various F0 value(F0 8-12 min.) in a steam system retort at $118^{\circ}C$. The factors such as pH, VBN, amino-N, total amino acid, free amino acid, chemical composition, color value (L, a, b), texture profile, TBA value, mineral, sensory evaluation and viable bacterial count of the canned sea mussel produced with various sterilization condition(F0 8-12 min.) were measured. The same element was also measured during preservation. The results showed that the product sterilized at F0 8 min. and preserved for 90 days were the most desirable.

Production and characterization of rice starch from broken rice using alkaline steeping and enzymatic digestion methods (쇄미로부터 알칼리침지법과 효소소화법을 이용한 쌀전분의 생산 및 특성)

  • This study investigated the physicochemical properties of rice starch isolated from broken rice using alkaline steeping (AKL) and enzymatic digestion (ENZ) methods. Broken rice starch (BRS) by AKL and ENZ possessed crude protein contents (0.6-1.4%) acceptable to commercial products of native starch and belonged to an intermediate amylose rice starch. AKL-BRS and ENZ-BRS showed a typical A-type crystal packing arrangement with small variations in their relative crystallinity. ENZ-BRS exhibited higher gelatinization onset and peak temperatures, and a narrower gelatinization temperature range than AKL-BRS, indicating that annealing occurred in ENZ-BRS. Lower swelling power and solubility were generally observed in the ENZ-BRS. ENZ-BRS also showed slower viscosity development, higher peak and trough viscosities, and lower breakdown, final, and setback viscosities, compared to those in AKL-BRS. These results are ascribed to the annealing phenomenon in ENZ-BRS. Overall, BRS from cheap broken rice using AKL and ENZ could contribute to the expansion of rice starch utilization in food and non-food industries.

  • 3D printers have been growing mainly in industrial use, but the recent growth of the personal 3D printer market advanced through economic effects and cost reduction due to technological development. However, current 3D personal printers are very low in customer satisfaction on the limitations of molding speed, size, and precision. In this paper, we propose SLA 3D printer using LSU to overcome the technical limitation of personal 3D printer. In order to verify the operation of the scanning mechanism which is responsible for core functions, the movement of molding board using stepping motor and laser output test was conducted. These tests ensure that the laser was operating and control well was confirmed that a certain point is output to the X-axis by means of a laser module and a polygon mirror. 3D printers which are proposed to improve the accuracy and manufacturing speed is expected to replace the traditional low-budget 3D printer.

  • Electronics industry provides more revenue and jobs, and plays an important role in a variety of fields. During recent changes to the industrial strategy by IT convergence technology development and global economic integration, Global Value Chain(GVC) of the ICT industry has been expanded. The global value chain is a structure consisting of the global dimension in all the processes of business activity for value-added production, R&D, manufacturing, sales, A/S etc. The purpose of this study is to analyze the GVC in the electronics industry and GVC promote practice of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. GVC of the electronics industry was developed from 1980, and established manufacturing plant in the United States and Canada. GVC has moved to low-cost countries such as China, Taiwan and India to cut costs, In recent years, because of the rising labor and production costs in China, manufacturing plants move to the Vietnam that has relatively cheap production base. To develop consistently, Korean electronics companies should carry out a new strategy such as item and brand marketing to exporting country.

  • AlN crystal is been developing in global site for many years and 1 inch diameter wafer was already developed but it is demanding the efforts for the better quality. On the other hand, also the 2-inch size is developing recently to reduce the unit cost for manufacturing and to use to fabrication of the UV LED chips. In this study, we tried to evaluate the possibility of bulk AlN crystals on his thin films by PVT method. The AlN thin film was grown on SiC single crystal 2" wafer by HVPE method. We successfully grew AlN bulk crystal of a thickness of 7 mm using its thin film of a thickness of $10{\mu}m$ as a seed crystal. The resultants of AlN crystals were identified by metallurgical microscope, optical stereographic microscope and DCXRD measurement.

양성전분을 이용한 신문용지의 품질개선 및 생산성 향상

  • 고지 사용율을 증가시킴으로써 원가 절감을 모색하고 있는 국내 신문용지 생산업체에서 는 보류도와 탈수성 저하에 따른 생산성 악화가 발생하고 있을 뿐 아니라 제품의 강도 및 인쇄적성 저하라는 문제를 극복하는 것이 매우 중요한 과제로 대두되고 있다. 또 신문용지 생산공정의 수질이 악화됨에 따라서 사용되는 화학첨가제의 효능이 크게 감소하는 문제를 지니고 있다. 적합한 양성전분과 이러한 문제를 종합적으로 해결하기 위한 방안으로 신문용지 생산에 이의 적용기술을 모색하였다. 전기전도도가 4000 $\mu\textrm{s}$/cm인 신문용지 지료를 이용하여 DS 0.03인 저치환 양성 전분의 보류도 증가효과를 평가한 결과 양성전분을 사용하지 않은 경우에 비하여 보류도 증가율이 6 6%로 낮게 나타났으나, DS 0.06인 전분은 보류도 증가율이 21%로 향상효과가 높게 나타났 다. 또 양성전분의 치환도가 증가할수록 인장지수, 내부결합강도, 표면강도 향상 효과도 증 가되는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 가교 처리를 실시한 치환도 0.08 및 0.1의 습식양성전분의 경우에는 미세분 보류도, 여수도, 탁도 등에 큰 효과를 나타내지 않았다. 경우 보류도가 각 확인하였으며,이 건식방법으로 제조된 치환도 0.08 빛 0.15인 양성 전분을 0.5% 첨가할 각 16%, 21% 증가되어 적은 첨가량에서도 보류향상 효과가 높다는 것을 러한 효과는 여수도 및 양이온 요구량 측정을 통하여 재확인되었다. 저치환 양성전분의 성능을 개선시키기 위한 방법으로서 비이온성 천연고분자를 활용하 는 방안을 검토한 결과 비이온성 천연고분자를 병용함에 따라 보류도 증가율이 탁월하게 개 선되었으며, 인장지수, 내부결합강도, 표면강도 등에서도 같은 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Evaluation of Freshness Prolonging Ability of Antibacterial Packaging Bags and Corrugated Boxes (항균포장지와 포장상자에 저장된 과채류의 선도평가)

  • Packaging bags and corrugated boxes prepared from newly developed antimicrobial packaging paper had greater ability to prolong freshness of packed fruits, and lower weight loss of fruits and microbial growth than non-treated bags and boxes. Addition of zeolite to paper greatly increased absorbance of aging hormone, $C_{2}H_{4}$, emitted from stored fruits, and contributed to decrease in putrefied fruits during storage. Water repellent agent such as alkyl ketone dimer played significant role in preventing functional paper from absorbing water from stored fruits, leading to preservation of fresh weight in stored fruits. Because rise in production cost of functional packaging paper could be offset by reduction of fruit and vegetable wastes, storing fruits and vegetables in functional paper containers was more economical than storing in non-treated containers.
