Velocity Control Method of AGV for Heavy Material Transport (중량물 운송을 위한 AGV의 주행 제어 방법)

  • This paper presents to study the velocity control method of AGV for heavy material transport. Generally, in the industries, fork-type AGV using path tracking requires high stop-precision with performing operations for 20 hours. To obtain the high stop-precision of AGV for heavy material transport, AGV requires driving technic during low speed. Hence, we use encoder with keeping the speed of AGV and study the velocity control method to improve for the stop-precision of AGV. To experiment the proposed the velocity control method, we performed the experiments engaging the pallet located 4m in front of the AGV. In the experimental result, the maximum error of stop-precision was less than 18.64mm, and we verified that the proposed method is able to control stable.

Regulatory Requirements Analysis for Development of Nuclear Power Plants Cyber Security Vulnerability Inspection Tool (원전 사이버 보안 취약점 점검 도구 개발을 위한 규제요건 분석)

  • The use of general IT resources in the Instrumentation and Control system(I&C) for the safety of Nuclear Power Plants(NPPs) is increasing. As a result, potential security vulnerabilities of existing IT resources may cause cyber attack to NPPs, which may cause serious consequences not only to shutdown of NPPs but also to national disasters. In order to respond to this, domestic nuclear regulatory agencies are developing guidelines for regulating nuclear cyber security regulations and expanding the range of regulatory targets. However, it is necessary to take measures to cope with not only general security problems of NPPs but also attacks specific to NPPs. In this paper, we select 42 items related to the vulnerability inspection in the contents defined in R.G.5.71 and classify it into 5 types. If the vulnerability inspection tool is developed based on the proposed analysis, it will be possible to improve the inspection efficiency of the cyber security vulnerability of the NPPs.

A Formal Verification Technique for PLC Programs Implemented with Function Block Diagrams (함수 블록 다이어그램으로 구현된 PLC 프로그램에 대한 정형 검증 기법)

  • As Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) are increasingly used to implement safety critical systems such as nuclear instrumentation & control system, formal verification for PLC based programs is becoming essential. This paper proposes a formal verification technique for PLC program implemented with function block diagram (FBD). In order to verify an FBD program, we translate an FBD program into a Verilog model and perform model checking using SMV model checker We developed a tool, FBD Verifier, which translates FBD programs into Verilog models automatically and supports efficient and intuitive visual analysis of a counterexample. With the proposed approach and the tool, we verified large FBD programs implementing reactor protection system of Korea Nuclear Instrumentation and Control System R&D Center (KNICS) successfully.

  • This paper presents an efficient data storage and reconstruction method in data acquisition and processing of monitoring system. The proposed method extracts minimum data using an interpolation from raw data which are acquired from a target system. They are transferred and saved in a monitoring PC via TCP/IP communication, and then reconstructed as original signals. Therefore, it is possible to design an efficient monitoring system by the improved data communication speed due to the reduced communication packet, and it reduces the storage space. The algorithm for data acquisition and reconstruction is based on Cubic Hermite interpolation. To verify the validity of the proposed scheme, we presents simulation results compared with other interpolation based approaches. Finally, it is applied to a monitoring system for grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system to prove the high-performance of the proposed method.

  • In recent years, the importance of environmental regulations is increasing in the shipping industry, and the demands of the industry for this are rapidly increasing. Accordingly, the demand of ship owners is increasing as the shaft generator is a technology that responds to environmental regulations that can be applied to ships the fastest. The shaft generator is a device that can increase the fuel consumption rate of the main propulsion engine by installing an electric motor in the main propulsion engine and using it variably according to the load environment. It operates by the power of the motor at low speeds, and when a sudden load is required, the main propulsion engine and motor operate together, enabling efficient operation. In this paper, the diesel engine and shaft generator of a tug boat are modeled using MATLAB Simulink, and the fuel consumption rate is verified through simulation.

A Study on Inspecting Position Accuracy of DACS Pintle (위치자세제어장치의 핀틀 위치정확도 점검 방안 연구)

  • In the study, to minimize the error on guided control of the KV (Kill Vehicle) and to secure the hit-to-kill performance, a position accuracy inspection for the DACS (Divert and Attitude Control System) actuation system was proposed. The accuracy performance of the DACS actuation system is one of the most important factors in the interception of ballistic missiles. In order to validate actuation control accuracy of DACS system, an inspection item was set for position accuracy, and the inspection system was designed for DACS pintle. To measure the absolute position value of the DACS pintle, an external measurement system was developed using laser displacement sensors. The inspection system was designed so that it can be compared with the actuation command in real time. The proposed position accuracy inspection system can be inspected not only in a DACS system but also in missile system level. The position accuracy inspection was performed using the designed inspection system, and analysis of the inspection result.

Performance Improvement of Cardiac Disorder Classification Based on Automatic Segmentation and Extreme Learning Machine (자동 분할과 ELM을 이용한 심장질환 분류 성능 개선)

  • In this paper, we improve the performance of cardiac disorder classification by continuous heart sound signals using automatic segmentation and extreme learning machine (ELM). The accuracy of the conventional cardiac disorder classification systems degrades because murmurs and click sounds contained in the abnormal heart sound signals cause incorrect or missing starting points of the first (S1) and the second heart pulses (S2) in the automatic segmentation stage, In order to reduce the performance degradation due to segmentation errors, we find the positions of the S1 and S2 pulses, modify them using the time difference of S1 or S2, and extract a single period of heart sound signals. We then obtain a feature vector consisting of the mel-scaled filter bank energy coefficients and the envelope of uniform-sized sub-segments from the single-period heart sound signals. To classify the heart disorders, we use ELM with a single hidden layer. In cardiac disorder classification experiments with 9 cardiac disorder categories, the proposed method shows the classification accuracy of 81.6% and achieves the highest classification accuracy among ELM, multi-layer perceptron (MLP), support vector machine (SVM), and hidden Markov model (HMM).

  • The telemetry system for the current speed and direction, the underwater ambient noise and the distribution ecology of fishes was constructed by the author and his collaborator in order to product and manage effectively in shallow sea culture and setnets fisheries, and then the experiments for the telemetry system carried out at set net fishing ground located Nungpobay in Kojedo from October 1996 to June 1997. As this results, the techniques suggested in the telemetry system gave full display its function even though far away 1.5 km from transmitting part, but with the suggested telemetry system could not be ascertained relationship between physical environment and distribution ecology of fishes.

  • 본 연구에서 개발된 Enhanced huels형 플라즈마 발생장치는 초음속 공기 플라즈마 환경에 대한 열 보호 물질의 개발과 시험평가를 위한 지상 시뮬레이션 시험을 목적으로 개발되었다. Enhanced Huel형 플라즈마 토치는 고출력에도 불구하고 전극 부식에 의한 오염도를 최소화할 수 있고, 일반적인 직류 토치로는 얻을 수 없는 초고엔탈피 플라즈마 열유동을 얻을 수 있는 특징이 있다. 구축된 장치는 최대 직류 전력 1,200 kW까지의 출력 제공이 가능한 DC 전원과 플라즈마 토치, 플라즈마의 진단계측 및 재료 시험 수행이 가능한 진공쳄버, 플라즈마를 기체로 회복시켜주기 위한 디퓨저, 디퓨저를 빠져나오는 초고온 열 유동으로부터 열을 제거하기 위한 열교환기, 쳄버 전체의 압력을 제어하기 위한 진공 장치, 후처리 시스템, 가스 공급부 시스템, 냉각수 공급 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 또한 플라즈마 진단계측장비로는 enthalphy 측정시스템과 각 종 열유속 측정 탐침기, pyrometers, 분광계, 적외선 카메라, 고속 카메라를 갖추고 있다. 시운전 결과 토치 공급전력 412 kW, 공기공급 12.31 g/s , 토치 내부압력 4.14 bar의 운전조건에서 62%의 효율로 플라즈마 엔탈피 16.7 MJ/kg의 성능을 얻었다.

  • This paper deals with the position determination problem of stereo camera systems used as a sensor for 3D robotic manipulation. Stereo cameras having parallel rays of sight and been set up on the same baseline are assumed. The distance between the sensor and the space measured is determined so as to get insensitive parameters to the uncertainty of control points used for calibration and to satisfy the error condition set by considering the repeatability of the robot. The baseline width is determined by minimizing the mutual effect of 3D positional error and stereo image coordinate error. Unlike existing techniques, the technique proposed here is developed without complicated constraints and modelling process of the object to be observed. Thus, the technique of this paper is more general and its effectiveness is proved by simulation.
