Counting People Walking Through Doorway using Easy-to-Install IR Infrared Sensors (설치가 간편한 IR 적외선 센서를 활용한 출입문 유동인구 계측 방법)

  • People counting data is crucial for most business owners, since they can derive meaningful information about customers movement within their businesses. For example, owners of the supermarkets can increase or decrease the number of checkouts counters depending on number of occupants. Also, it has many applications in smart buildings, too. Where it can be used as a smart controller to control heating and cooling systems depending on a number of occupants in each room. There are advanced technologies like camera-based people counting system, which can give more accurate counting result. But they are expensive, hard to deploy and privacy invasive. In this paper, we propose a method and a hardware sensor for counting people passing through a passage or an entrance using IR Infrared sensors. Proposed sensor operates at low voltage, so low power consumption ensure long duration on batteries. Moreover, we propose a new method that distinguishes human body and other objects. Proposed method is inexpensive, easy to install and most importantly, it is real-time. The evaluation of our proposed method showed that when counting people passing one by one without overlapping, recall was 96% and when people carrying handbag like objects, the precision was 88%. Our proposed method outperforms IR Infrared based people counting systems in term of counting accuracy.

  • This paper describes the grenade counting system developed for DPICM submunition analysis using the infrared video streams, and its some video stream processing technique. The video stream data processing procedure consists of four sequences; Analog infrared video stream recording, video stream capture, video stream pre-processing, and video stream analysis including the grenade counting. Some applications of this algorithms to real bursting test has shown the possibility of automation for submunition counting.

  • 예를 들어보자. 비행중인 비행기의 날개에 센서들을 연결하고 센서 신호들을 서버에 송신하고, 연구원은 네트워크를 통해 이 데이터에 실시간으로 접근하여 비행기의 상태를 점검한다. 그림 1은 이런 개념을 보여주는 그림이다. 또 다른 예들을 들어보자. 서울 본사의 엔지니어가 중국의 공장에 설치된 액츄에이터에 사용되는 퍼지로직 제어 알고리즘을 자바 애플릿을 이용해 조정한다. 경부고속도로를 주행하고 있는 트레일러 자동차에서 온도와 압력에 관한 문제점이 발생하면 자동차에 설치된 시스템이 이를 본사에 송신해 조치한다. 학생들이 집에서 학교에 설치된 실험 장치에 홈페이지를 통해 접근하여 실험을 수행하고 보고서를 이메일로 처리한다.(중략)

  • Using the scattering theory of laser light, we analyze the particle sizing method. The scattered profile measured by the photodetector is sampled, scale conditioned by a 32 channel analog-to-digital converter, and is analyzed with the transform matrix from the light energy signals to the weights of the particle sizes. The particle size distribution is classified using the Hopfield neural network method as well as the conventional nonnegative least square method.

  • The instrumentation system is the most important aspect of a flight test program. It is the means by which the objective of a flight test, the production of accurate, useful data, is achieved. An instrumentation system consists of everything required to sense, condition, and record all parameters of interest The task of a flight test engineer is to select a system that is adequate to obtain all needed data, but not complex, expensive, and heavy than the situation demands. In this paper, the primary factors that determine the design of an instrumentation system are discussed.

  • We design a multi-element photo-detector to measure the size of particles using the diffracted light energy distribution. The scattered profile measured by the photodetector is sampled by a 32 channel analog-to-digital converter. A nonnegative least squares analysis translates the light energy distribution into the corresponding unique particle size distribution. The responses of the particle sizing system are studied theoretically and experimentally.

  • In the blade grinding process, Blade image is captured. It is captured in the environment with vibration, using monochrome CCD camera with high speed electronic shutter. The image is preprocessed using LoG filter and zero crossing. We used Hough transformation to detect straight lines from the preprocessed image. From the equations of detected lines, we calculated width between lines caused by grinders. This paper proposes automatic measurement of blade width to automate the process control of blade grinding line.

  • In this paper we describe the shape measuring technique and system with a non-contractive sensor, composed of slit-ray projector and solid-state camera. For improving the accuracy and preventing measuring dead point, this sensor part is attached to the end of robot, and each sensing is executed after one step moving. By patching these sensing data, whole measuring data is constructed. The calibration between sensor and world coordinate is implemented through the specific calibration block by transformation matrix method. The result of experiment was satisfactory.

  • IED와 상위운영시스템(정보연계장치 포함)으로 구성되는 디지털변전소의 변전자동화시스템은 계측/제어/보호/감시 등 모든 변전소의 정보의 흐름이 국제규격 IEC 61850 기반으로 네트워크 통신을 통해 이루어지는 시스템이다. 따라서 기존 제어케어블 사용시 변전소에서 신호 전달의 정확성을 위해 측정하였던 전기적 신호에 대한 점검을 대신하여, 디지털변전소의 데이터를 운송하는 혈관의 역할을 수행하는 네트워크 통신에 대한 건전성을 확인할 필요가 있다.
