  • This study investigated the risk factors of hypertension among individuals under and over 65 years of age. A total of 6,152 participants were analyzed using the 6th Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging. The collected data were analyzed by Chi-square tests and logistic regression using SPSS 23. The results showed that the subjective health status, diabetes, heart disease, and degree of obesity according to BMI were risk factors affecting hypertension in individuals both under and over age 65. In adults under age 65, chronic lung disease, digestive disease, and drinking were risk factors affecting hypertension. In elderly over age 65, region, arthritis and rheumatic disease, smoking, and cognitive function were risk factors affecting hypertension. There is a need for chronic disease management in Korea due to rapid aging. In particular, it is important to analyze for effective management age-related risk factors affecting steadily increasing hypertension with age. Therefore, it is necessary to manage chronic disease management through social welfare improvement and welfare plans for the elderly, as well as personal management.

  • This study was proposed to examine the mediating effect of basic psychological needs on how parenting attitude affect middle school students with over-dependence on smart phone. This study utilized 2017 survey research by National Information Society Agency (NIA), namely a long-term follow-up study of 901 people with over-dependence on internet and smart phone. This study showed two findings. First, over-dependence on smart phone had correlations with basic psychological needs- autonomy(r=-.22, p<.001) and competence(r=-.13, p<.001); with parenting attitude- positive parenting(r=-.21, p<.001) and negative parenting(r=.15, p<.001). Second, both parenting attitude and basic psychological needs had a causal relationship with over-dependence on smart phone. These results can provide a basis to reconsider social awareness on over-dependence on smart phone among middle school students. This study proposed few research directions for further study to prevent over-dependence on smart phone and to educate parents.

For this study, we determined the final 45 Q statements by conducting literature surveys, internet searches and in-depth interviews. The P samples are 35 people of cancer patients, their family members, and experts. The Q statements were classified according to the forced normal distribution method and the collected data was analyzed using the PC QUANL program. For the analysis results, we extracted four recognition types on the economic burden of cancer treatment, and we named them 'uncertain anxiety', 'acceptance by family burden', 'object to challenge with active response' and 'insurance preparation', depending on their characteristics. The results of this study can be used as a basis for preparing the clinical intervention plan and the policies for cancer patients and the families involved in the fields of medicine, nursing and social welfare.

  • This paper propose a system to notify the user that detects failure of malfunction of smart farm ICT devices. As the fourth industrial revolution approaches, agriculture is also fused with ICT technology to improve competitiveness. Smart farming market is rapidly growing every year, but there is still a lack of standardization and certification systems. Especially, smart farm devices that are widely used in Korea are different in product specifications, software and hardware are developed separately, and quality and compatibility are poor. Therefore, a system that can recognize the abnormality of the equipment due to the frequent damage of farmers using low cost smart farm equipment is needed. In this paper, we review smart farm domestic and overseas policy trends and domestic smart agriculture trends, analyze smart farm failure or malfunctions and proactively prevent them, and propose a system to inform users when problems occur.

  • This study attempted to provide basic data to develop a nursing intervention for managing communicable diseases in the elderly by identifying the relationship between COVID-19 stress and self-management efficacy perceived by elderly individuals. Data were collected from 133 participants using a structured questionnaire on general characteristics, COVID-19 stress, and self-management efficacy. Data analysis included a t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. The results revealed that COVID-19 stress differed according to occupation, educational attainment, economic status, and subjective health status, while self-management efficacy differed according to subjective health status. COVID-19 stress correlated positively with self-management efficacy, and there was a positive correlation in the prevention and home-management areas, among the lower areas. Therefore, appropriate COVID-19 stress among elderly individuals can act as a factor to increase the efficacy of prevention and home-management. As the pandemic continues, repeated studies should expand the range of participants and changes by period.

  • The e-commerce had been expanding in the distribution channels, recently. Then, COVID-19 and social distancing rules led to a surge of online hypermarkets volume. In this study, we examined workplace environments of delivery drivers, firstly. Second, this study was also designed to examine the influencing factors of the perceived working environments change on the job satisfaction, dealing with the recent surge of work. We analyzed 324 data using various ways like descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, factor analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The analysis revealed that their job satisfaction was lower than the average score and their working time was too long. In addition, the changes of the workplace environments were divided into labor intensity change and working condition change, which all had a significant effect on job satisfaction. So we should devise some long-term and short-term plans to make the level of job satisfaction among delivery drivers high on workplace environments.
