Evaluation of Structural Stability of Tunnel due to Adjacent Excavation on Urban Transit (도시철도 인접굴착공사에 따른 터널구조물의 구조 안정성 평가)

  • The three-dimensional precision numerical analysis was performed using the finite element model applied with the railway track model consisting of rails, As a result of analyzing the track deformation level of the existing tunnel due to the excavation work adjacent to the urban transit, it was found that the evaluation criteria (allowed values) of conventional railways lines were satisfied. Based on the numerical analysis, it was analyzed that the results of the prediction of the tunnel structural stability of due to the excavation work and the level of the tunnel deformation occurring at the actual site could be approximated as closely as possible.

  • In this study, finite element analysis was performed to evaluate the track irregularity of the existing track system on urban transit according to the large-scale excavation work that is constructed adjacent to the serviced line. Based on the numerical analysis, the effect of track irregularity generated during the step-by-step construction process was analytically derived, and the stability in terms of track deformation was evaluated through comparison with related standards. As the results, in the case of track irregularity items evaluated based on the relative displacement difference at a certain distance, such as alignment and vertical irregularity, it occurred most clearly at the location where deformation of the existing structure begins, such as the end point of adjacent excavation work. On the other hand, the overall vertical and horizontal displacement of the track was the largest deformation at the center of the construction section. The vulnerable position of the deformed side of the existing structure due to adjacent excavation is analytically proven that the both of the end point section and the center of the construction can be a vulnerable position in terms of track irregularity.

A Study on Relationship between Track Impact Factor and Track Support Stiffness of Turnout System on Urban Transit (도시철도 분기기 궤도구조의 궤도지지강성과 궤도충격계수의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the relationship between the track support stiffness and the track impact factor for a sleeper floating track and a turnout system with wood ties currently employed in Korean urban transit was assessed by performing field tests using actual vehicles running along the service lines. Field tests were performed on four track systems (i.e., sleeper floating track, and point, lead and crossing sections of turnout system). The theoretically designed track impact factor and track support stiffness were compared with the corresponding track impact factor and track support stiffness measured through field tests for the target tracks on the service line. The track impact factor for the service line appeared to increase with the deviation of track support stiffness according to vehicle driving direction; therefore, it was inferred that the deviation of track support stiffness between each track section directly affected the track impact factor.

  • The current study uses photovoice, a participatory and quantitative method of research, to understand the stress in the youth through the experiences of university students. The study was conducted in the order of education, data collection, data analysis for six session college students in J city. The results was largely categorized into three themes as follows. Firstly, as sub-themes of meaning of stress, there were 'Spider web that clogs the head', 'Seemingly endless passage', 'Anxiety that keeps hands fidgeting', Secondly, factors of stress, there were 'Life does not depend on the class rank', Financial hardships,' Frustrated with getting a job', 'Difficulty in time management', Thirdly, how to cope with stress, there were 'A friend you can freely talk to and laugh with', 'Grab some food and release some stress', 'Get away from daily life', Positive thinking relaxes body and spirit'. Based 0n the analyzed results, we can understand the causes and coping strategies of college students in depth, suggested the practical suggestions and limitation of college society about stress and the educational implication of utilizing photovoice.

  • Recently, domestic railway related institutes are developing pantographs for high speed trains; to lighten the upper arm, this device has a composite structure of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) and aluminum instead of conventional steel. In the case of KTX-Sancheon, the pantograph must have a large current capacity because this system is of power-car type, supplying all necessary power for the train through a single pantograph. If the thickness of the pipe is arbitrarily increased in order to increase the current carrying capacity, without analyzing the thermal characteristics of the aluminum pipe, the increase in the weight of the upper arm may cause degradation of the current collecting performance. Therefore, in this paper, using the thermal analysis technique, we analyze the temperature change characteristics of the aluminum pipe of the upper arm over time, while receiving power at the stationary state of the KTX-Sancheon; we also examine the adequacy of the minimum thickness of the aluminum pipe in accordance with the proposed pantograph flow capacity.

  • Coffer dam for tunnel type spillway in inflow section of Dae-am dam was originally planned as 2 lines sheet piles with Water Zet method. But, the result of pilot test was caused of some problems that vibration during installation of pile could pollute water and water leakage could the lower part. So, sheet piles was not satisfactory for faculty of coffer dam. Structural instability of sheet pile system need to reinforcement. Characteristic of Dae-am dam was small reservoir capacity but wide drainage area, of which it was judgment that security of leakage and stability was difficult during excavation of inlet part. So, we consider that water curtain method utilized with in site pouring concrete pile method was designed at weir part of spillway. We were known about basement rock that geological boring was carried out in weir part. After taking a deep consideration, PRD method was accepted as a new method. Concrete pile by PRD was installed to below country rock. CJM method was carried out with PRD. After making concrete wall using Top-down method, earth anchors were installed for supporting it. According to the result of numerical analysis, as water level rises, wall is stable.

  • User in video data utilization of high-capacity can grasp whole video data at a look. Offer frame list that summarize information of video data to do so that can remake video from branch that want when need. Need index process of video data for effective video retrieval. This treatise wishes to propose effective method about scene change point detection of video that is been based on contents base index. Proposed method video data so that can grasp whole structure of video detection color value of schedule pixel for diagonal line direction in image sampling do. Data that get into sampling could grasp scene change point on one eye. Color value of pixel that detection in each frame is i frame number by i$\times$j procession to procession A, j stores to reflex height of frame. Introduce MSE and calculate mean error of each frame. If exceed mean error and schedule critical value, wish to detect the frame for scene change point.

  • To design a new Navigation Satellite System signal, we should analyze the influence of inter-system interference to existing Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS). Various GNSS systems such as GSP, GALILEO, Compass use same frequence band and incur inter-system interference due to the overlapping spectrums. In this paper, we consider L2 Band for new Navigation Satellite System and propose the BOCcos(15,2.5) signal what has least Spectral Separation Coefficient with GPS L2 system. Assuming 4 stationary satellite over Korea, we simulate the effect of interference. As a result, proposed system shows very small mutual interference effect and negligible effective signal to noise ratio(SNR) loss, compared to the interferences between GNSS systems in L1 Band.

  • Recently, The wide range of the Internet applications and the related technology developments enabled the ease use of the digital multimedia contents (fixed images, movies, digital audios). However, due to the replay ability which the contents may be easily duplicated and not only the duplicates are capable of providing the same original quality. There are mainly the encipher techniques and the watermarking techniques which are studied and used as solutions for the above problem in order to protect the license holders' rights. To the protection of the IP(Intellectual Property) rights of the owner, digital watermarking is the technique that authenticates the legal copyrighter. This paper proposed the watermarking algorithms to watermark the 256 gray logo image and the color image by applying the wavelet transformation to the color stand-still images. The proposed algorithms conducted the watermark insertion at the LH frequency region among the wavelet transformation regions (LL, LH, HL, HH). The interleaving algorithms which applied in data communication was applied to the watermark. the amount of watermark increased which consequently caused the PSNR to decrease but this might provide the perseverance against the external attacks such as extraction, filtering, and crop.

  • This thesis deals with a novel font-dependent Hangul recognition algorithm invariant to position translation, scaling, and rotation using circular pattern vectors. The proposed algorithm removes noise from input letters using binary morphology and generates the circular pattern vectors. The generated circular pattern vectors represent spatial distributions on several concentric circles from the center of gravity in a given letter. Then the algorithm selects the letter minimizing the distance between the reference vectors and the generated circular pattern vectors. In order to estimate performances of the proposed algorithm, the completed Batang Hangul 2,350 letters were used as test images with scaling and rotational transformations. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm are better than conventional algorithm using the ring projection in the recognition rates of Hangul letters with scaling and rotational transformation.
