  • Since the basic built-in-test, prognostic health management (PHM) has evolved into more sophisticated and complex systems with advanced warning and failure detection devices. Aerospace and military systems, manufacturing equipment, structural monitoring, automotive electronic systems and telecommunication systems are examples of fields in which PHM has been fully utilized. Nowadays, the automotive electronic system has become more sophisticated and increasingly dependent on accurate sensors and reliable microprocessors to perform vehicle control functions which help to detect faults and to predict the remaining useful life of automotive parts. As the complication of automotive system increases, the need for intelligent PHM becomes more significant. Given enormous potential to be developed lays ahead, this paper presents findings and discussions on the trends of automotive PHM research with the expectation to offer opportunity for further improving the current technologies and methods to be applied into more advanced applications.

Development of Battery Management System using Multiple Microcontroller (다중 마이크로콘트롤러를 사용한 배터리 관리 시스템의 개발)

  • In an electric vehicle and Energy Storage System(ESS), a large number of batteries are connected in series or parallel to obtain high voltage and current. The battery management system(BMS) is needed because battery has a characteristic that explode in overcharging and overcurrent situations due to the nature of the battery material and the battery life is dramatically reduced when the battery is overdischarged below the specified voltage. In this paper, we proposed a system that can manage a large amount of batteries through the communication of master-slave type with multiple microcontroller. We confirmed the stable operation of the proposed system through the balancing-charging and storage mode experiments.

  • 게임에서 장르를 불문하고 모든 몬스터와 NPC는 AI를 가지고 있다. 따라서 적 몬스터 캐릭터와 전투를 즐기는 액션 게임의 경우 그만큼 인공지능이 게임 안에서 차지하는 비율이 높다고 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 FSM, HFSM, BT와 같은 AI 기법을 비교하여 분석하였다. 각 기법에는 주의해야 할 점이 명확하게 존재하기 때문에 구체적으로 어떠한 문제점들이 존재하는지에 대한 결과를 얻는데 연구 목적이 있다. 따라서 몬스터 AI를 구현할 때 각 인공지능 기법의 장단점을 고려하여 설계하여 유지 보수를 줄이는 방법을 연구해야 한다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 수많은 사람들이 게임을 플레이할 때 마치 본인이 캐릭터가 된 듯한 이입을 하고 그를 통해 간접적으로 경험을 체험한다. 이때, 시각은 몰입하는데 빠질 수 없는 요소이며 게임에선 그 역할을 카메라가 대신하고 있다. 카메라를 통해 얻은 시각 정보로 현재 무슨 일이 일어나고 있는지, 지금 분위기가 어떤지를 판단하며 점점 게임에 몰입하게 되는 것이다. 캐릭터 간의 대화가 많은 추리 혹은 어드벤처 게임에서는 NPC와 대화하는 경우 실제로 대화하는 느낌이 들도록 카메라를 제어하는 것이 중요하다. 이 논문에서는 사람들이 쉽게 몰입할 수 있도록 카메라를 제어하는 방법을 연구하고, 엔진을 이용하여 추리 어드벤처 게임에 적용하였다.

  • 게임에서 캐릭터가 점프 하는 중 플레이어가 스킬을 사용하면, 모든 물체가 정지 되는 기능을 구현해야 하는 상황에 놓이게 된다. Unity Engine에 내장 된 중력을 사용하면, 플레이어가 스킬을 사용 할 때 Rigid Body 속성을 사용하여 움직임을 제한할 수 있다. 그러나, 스킬 사용으로 인한 움직임정지를 해제 할 때 물체의 이전 속력이 사라져 움직임이 부자연스럽게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 수학 계산을 통해 시간 값에 따른 중력 값을 대입 하는 방법을 사용하면, 속력이 매우 커 타일을 통과해서 지나가는 현상이 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 다음 프레임 위치 계산을 통해 이러한 문제를 보정하는 방법과 수학 계산식을 통해 속력을 계산했을 때의 문제점 보완 방법 등에 대하여 연구하였다.

  • Observation of land surface temperature in industrial areas is problematic, as it is not possible to construct a network of weather stations with sufficiently high density and continuous operation in such zones. Multiphase remote sensing data that cover a wide area and take a short time to process can enable the user to precisely and continuously measure the current and changing land surface temperatures in a certain region. Jeollanam-Do in South Korea is undergoing rapid industrialization, with the establishment of a number of industrial complexes, such as the Gwangyang Steelworks, Yeosu Industrial Complex, Yulchon Industrial complex, and Daebul Industrial Complex. To look into the properties of industrial complex's temperature, this study uses the thermal band of Landsat 7 ETM+ images acquired under thermal infrared wavelengths in order to calculate and compare the surface temperatures of the four above-named industrial complexes. From this, it is possible to obtain the basic information about industrial complex for environmental and natural resource management, which will aid industrial complex planners in developing methods of addressing environmental problems.

  • This research was for the analysis of gas industries and 12 Hazard evaluation techniques for the industries, and present the selection guideline of the techniques using 6 factors affecting them. 4 indexes & consequences of incidents into 8 characteristics. Also, combining the indexes with the selection procedure in flowchart format could reduce improper techniques and present alternatives. Also, it is used as guidelines to get safety improvement plan to gas companies.

  • The objective of condition-based maintenance plus(CBM+) is to improve the availability and maintenance efficiency of missiles, bolstering national defense capabilities. This study proposes an application of CBM+ to enhance the reliability and the safety of missiles, which are the devices typically stored for long durations. CBM+ CBM+ does not only contribute to defense capabilities, but it also aims to reduce maintenance costs. This study focuses particularly on the dormant stage of the missile life-cycle, in which various failure modes and environmental impacts on failure mechanisms are investigated. The effectiveness of maintenance strategies and the implementation of CBM+ is evaluated using simulation data.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of Informal Learning Activity on the relationship between Cultural Contents Industry Workers' Protean Career Attitude and Career Commitment. The results of this study were as follows: First, Protean career attitude of cultural contents industry workers had positive effect on career commitment. Second, Informal learning activity of cultural contents industry workers had partial mediating effect on the relationship between protean career attitude and career commitment. Based upon these results, several suggestions were suggested to promote cultural contents industry workers' protean career attitude, career commitment, and informal learning activity.

  • This thesis examined the main revolution trend of Chinese engineering education system which is closely related to the demand of the industrial world. The reasons for which China tried to revolutionize engineering education were as follows ; firstly, the lack of high-qualified and professionalized man power in the industrial world. Secondly, the rupture in the age structure and thirdly, graduate students' insufficient ability to adapt to the industrial companies. These situation had been influenced by professional education after the fashion of the Soviet Union and the Cultural Revolution. Thus, since 1980s, government have extended man power supply through various ways and maintained equilibrium between supply and demand within the industrial world. Also, government began to retrian the existing engineers, magnify the regular number in college students of science and engineering and treat an experienced man favorably in graduate schools. The State Education Commission leaded in searching for the ways to train engineers and testing the master of engineering training system. As an essay at reform, many attempts will be tried ; bringing-up excellent students, the system of multi-degrees, field work, bachelor-master integration management, the system of master and doctor by thesis, strengthening educational-industrial cooperation, experimental school, adult school, and local school. Until 21c to come, this trend will be accelerated on.
