  • Andong is the place where the most ginger is produced in Korea. The article is based on a study on the development of storytelling of a co-brand of local agricultural products, focusing on the case of 'The Geudae Ginger,' a co-brand of ginger in Andong. This study aims to develop a brand storytelling of Andong Ginger's co-branded 'Geudae Ginger' to build an image as a local specialty and help revitalize the Andong ginger's industry. The process of developing storytelling to activate 'Geudae Ginger' brand is as follows. In the first step, I collected storytelling materials through data research. Ginger, which has long been used as a medicine for mankind, has more historical and cultural stories than anything else. In the second step, story resources were extracted based on data research. By analyzing the story properties of Andong ginger, we made its list. As a result, the image of the nobility, rigidity and chastity of ginger, which is used to benefit all over, could be associated with the image of Andong, the capital of Korean spiritual culture. Storytelling was developed in the third step. The main theme was 'Andong ginger with anther level ' and the main story was 'The Story of Andong's Ginger Teacher'. The scenario developed is as follows: 1. Introducing Andong's Ginger Teacher, 2. The birth of Dosan Thirteen Tea, 3. 'Geudae Ginger' that bridges love. In the last fourth step, I proposed ways to utilize storytelling. I presented the spread methods of consumer-participated storytelling using images of 'Geudae Ginger' and a new-tro event with teachers highlighting the image of 'Ginger Teacher' and others as a local business program for storytelling expansion.

  • Maogusi dance is an ancient ritual dance of the Tujia, a Chinese ethnic minority living in the remote region of the western Hunan Province of China. With characters, dialogues, simple story plots and unique performance procedures, it expresses ancient people's devout worship of nature, totems, ancestors, and reproduction in the uncivilized age. With the advancement of human civilization and the opening to the outside world, many dances of the ethnic minority gradually have faded out, while the Maogusi dance is still popular among the Tujia people and its spiritual symbols have been passed on through the generations. It is recognized by experts in dance and drama circles as the original source of Chinese dance and drama. From the perspectives of philosophy, religion, anthropology and folklore, this paper tries to remove the mysterious veil covering the Maogusi dance of the Tujia to explain how its ancient spiritual symbols have survived and why the original ecological consciousness has been preserved. These aims would help in understanding the deep connotation of this ancient Chinese art with its long history and profound culture.

  • The Haenyeo of Jeju exists as a unique human resource only in Korea and Japan in the world. • Recently, the West's interest on Buddhism has been uprising. If the interest on Buddhism is especially from Western intellectuals, it will surely be the motive to change, the future of Western society. Actually, while the West has been interested in the material civilization on the basis of Christianity, the East has been pursuing after the spiritual culture on the basis of Buddhism. However, what does it mean that many of civilized westerners have come to dislike the manner of scientific pursuit and strict rationality which made them wealthy materially\ulcorner It means that they have felt their ideologies which is based on the Christian culture, has met an end or at least they have started to get interested in the Eastern ideology, 'Buddhism'. Particularly, if we agree that industrial design is a field of basis on the stringent rationality, and is a field of applied science on the basis of technology and production, it surely must have rather been influenced by Christian culture than Buddhism. But regardless of material richness by Christian culture, some Western intellectuals'secession from christianity means that their pursuit of material civilization doesn't help much in chasing after human original happiness. Instead, they are charmed by the fact that their mental illness problem, which is the result of the incessant pursuit of materialism, can be salved more 'scientifically'rather by Buddhism than Christianity. Compared with the westerners'spiritual unhappiness by the strong pursuit of material, Buddhism lowers their passion for material and help to lead their lives happily with least'pursuit of materialism. In this sense, I insist that we need to study'Design'from a viewpoint of Buddhist idea.

  • In this research, Collectivism's influence on Singaporean employee's volunteerism in Multinational Enterprise (MNE) was investigated with an individual empathy mediating. Most research on Hofstede's cultural dimensions were examined at national levels. However, in this study, Yoo's Cultural value Scale (CVSCALE) was used to analyze collectivistic tendencies at individual levels and its influence on volunteerism. A total of 200 self-administering online surveys was distributed to MNE employees in Singapore for three weeks period. 180 usable surveys were collected and analyzed with SPSS 21.0. Research outcomes indicated collectivism positively influenced volunteerism in Singaporeans with empathy as possible antecedent of volunteerism. In conclusion and application, the significance of this research lies in indicating collectivism's positive impact on volunteerism and empathy as possible antecedents of volunteerism in Singaporeans even though Singapore has exhibited stronger individualism and often defined as one of the most westernized country in the Asian continent. Also findings suggest further developing emotional education to increase both individual and group level performance.

  • This study begins on the basis of Jacques Lacan's article 『Logical Time and Assertions of Preemptive Certainty: A New Sophism』 published in the reissue of 『Art Note Les Cahiers d'Art』 in March 1945. In this paper, a guard presents an esoteric problem to three prisoners. If the problem is solved, the prisoner is released. A condition is given to solve a problem. Conversation between prisoners is prohibited, and the disc behind them cannot be seen. In this time and space, prisoners place themselves in logical time through the 'time of understanding' in order to become the chosen ones. We always live in logical time. We will argue the point at which Lacan destroys logical time in psychoanalysis. Time in Lacanian psychoanalysis transcends time divisions of the past, present, and future. Our time is always the past in the present. In Lacanian psychoanalysis, logical time is the time in the Other. The transcendence of the Lacanian psychoanalysis concept of time shows the deviation of logical time. In this text, We try to prove how Lacan contrasts psychoanalysis and the problem of time with time in the other. First, we will examine how logical time and impulse are related in psychoanalysis. Second, the postmortemity of the signifient (signifier) will be discussed. Third, Lacan psychoanalysis will present the transcendence of time. In conclusion, We will present the view that the time of Lacan psychoanalysis is flowing backwards. In Lacanian psychoanalysis, we try to prove that logical time is in the territory of the Other and is infinite time.
