  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate the sensory characteristic quality of commercial milk brands selling in the market under the preservation at the temperature of $7^{\circ}C$ and $10^{\circ}C$ stored during the period of shelf-life. Quantitative descriptive analysis after developing of descriptive terms and cluster characterization by PCA analysis over a total of 128 LTLT, HTST, UHT and UHT-ESL milks, were conducted by 8 trained panelists. A total of fourteen attributes; three aroma attributes (grassy, milky, cultured milk aroma) and seven flavor/taste attributes (sweet, salty, sour, milk, cooked, cheesy, paper board) and one aftertaste attributes (rancid flavor) and one texture attributes (viscous), were developed as descriptive terms. Significant differences (P<0.01) in the sensory attributes; sweet, milky, cheesy etc. in UHT milk and sour, cheesy, paper board, rancid etc. in UHT-ESL milk were also found between the two different temperatures within the shelf life, but both type of pasteurized milk samples (LTLT and HTST) showed significant differences (P<0.01) in the attributes, such as cultured milk aroma, salty, sour, cheesy, rancid in LTLT milk and grassy, milky, salty in HTST milk and difference (P<0.05) in cultured milk aroma for HTST milk. Therefore, from the viewpoint of not only hygienic quality but also sensory characteristics, it is required for the better acceptance of milk consumers to amendment on the regulation in relation to the preservation standard of pasteurized milk as well as UHT milk to lower than $7^{\circ}C$.

  • This study examined the correlation among the Korean language ability, health promotion behaviors and health status of immigrant women by marriage. Data on the subjects of 148 immigrant women were collected from September to December, 2013. Constructed self-administered questionnaires were used to gather information on the general characteristics of the immigrant women, their Korean language ability, health promotion behaviors and emotional health status. The health examination results of the subjects were used for information on their health status. There were significant differences in the Korean language reading ability, drinking habits, total cholesterol and body mass index between the diseased group and the intact group. An analysis of the relationship between the Korean language ability and health conditions revealed a significant positive correlation between the total cholesterol and neutral fat, but negative correlations between the density of hemoglobin and the total cholesterol, the neutral fat and body mass index. There was a significant negative correlation between the Korean language ability and the level of stress. Based on these results, a program was suggested and developed to decrease the rate of drinking, cholesterol and body mass index of immigrant women and to promote their ability to understand health information and express their diseases properly in the Korean language.

  • The purpose of the present study is to investigate the various reasons that might lead single women to choose not to marry. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were arranged with 18 single women who met the criteria for the present research purpose. We considered only those responses of the interviewees that are directly related to their reasons why they choose not to marry, where the collected data were analyzed in three steps by methods of thematic analysis. As a result of the analysis, the reasons for which they chose not to marry could be grouped into three main clusters of themes which may be labeled as (1) themes centered on 'Myself', (2) themes centered on 'Family' and (3) themes centered on 'Surrounding Environments and Friends'. Among the first category of themes of 'Myself', we have found five sub-themes such as "Lack of emotional communication", "Not-found spouse meeting my criteria", "My personality", "Self-narcissism or self-centeredness", "False beliefs in marriage". As for the second category of themes 'Family', three sub-themes have been found including "Family of origin conflict", "Closeness to family of origin", "Comfortable daily lives". And for the final category of themes 'Surrounding Environments and Friends', there were found three sub-themes which include "Negative effects of married friends", "Emotional support system", "Changing social atmosphere". In all there are eleven sub-themes to consider. On the basis of these results, we presented some conclusions on the reasons why single women in their thirties or forties choose not to marry. We also presented some implications of these results on population education and future research.

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate the emotional characteristics of the patients within one year after stroke using the Core Seven Emotions Inventory-Short Form. Methods: It analyzed the medical records of 39 stroke patients who had visited W University hospital and completed the Core Seven-Emotions Inventory-Short Form (CSEI-S), the K-MBI, the PWI-SF, and the HADS. Patients data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, frequency analysis, the Mann-Whitney U test, and the nonparametric test of the CSEI according to the period of stroke onset in patients and Spearman's correlation analysis using the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science, IBM, United States of America) Version 23.0. Results: First, in the case of depression, all subjects were in the danger group, although more than half of the joy, anger, thinking, sadness and fear were included in the normal group in the shortening of the key seven-point scale. Secondly, in measuring the social and psychological stress and hospital anxiety and depression, social and psychological stress were indicated to be a potential danger group, while anxiety and depression were shown to be a healthy group. Thirdly, the emotional characteristics were explored according to the sub-factor of the shortening of the key seven-figure emotional scale after being classified within two months, between two and six months and over six months depending on the duration of the outbreak. As a result, statistically significant, Joy was the highest score over six months and the lowest score between two and six months. On the other hand, the case of depression was depicted to be significantly lower at over six months, and was highest between two and six months. Finally, the correlations on each scale were statistically significant. Conclusions: This study provided that the CSEI-S can be used to simply to measure the emotions of patients according to the period of the onset of stroke in the clinical scene.

There were statistically significant difference in dyadic adjustment on variables such as education, religion, income. There was not statistically significant difference in pregnancy stress on variables. Pregnancy stress was positively correlated with state-anxiety. Pregnancy stress was negatively correlated with dyadic adjustment. State-anxiety was negatively correlated with dyadic adjustment. Factor influencing pregnancy stress was state-anxiety, which explained 25.1%. Findings provide useful information for further studies in pregnancy stress of pregnant women. Therefore, to reduce pregnancy stress of pregnant women, it is necessary to standardized nursing intervention program.

  • Mokjae Lee Samhwan's "MaengHoEum" is the three poems of the Chinese quatrain of 5word 7poetry created according to the previous age. This poem is distinguished from the poem of the general "MaengHoHaeng" series because of it was created in the form of modern-style poetry of series, not a poetry of 5word or 7word or length phrase in a poem. The "MaengHoEum" of MokJae seems to have been built around 1801year when he was 73 years old. Therefore, his "MaengHoEum" can be called an allegory poetry or a society poetry and his poetry can be said that it was created under the criticism of the corrupt political power of the contemporary society, and the 'fierce tiger' which appeared in his poem refers to the factions of Noron Byek line which was the ruling power at that time. However, if you look at the "MaengHoEum" of MokJae, you will see a criticism of the real world, but the feeling is not intense or the description is not concrete. Although his poetry depicts the absurdity of the present reality, but he does not show positive criticism of reality or strong resistance. This characteristic, which can be seen in his poem "MaengHoEum", is the result of the study he pursued for the his life and is thought to be due to the weight of reality. The contradictions of the time of the Mokjae were never silent to him, but on the other hand he could not reveal his own struggle on the surface of the poem. Between his descendants, influenced by his actions, and the stinging gaze watching him, he had no choice but to end his feelings internally.
