Judgment Decision, and Choice in Web Searching Behavior - Information Quality and Cognitive Authority - (웹 탐색과정에서 이용자들의 정보의 판단과 선택 -정보의 질 및 권위를 중심으로 -)

  • This study examines the effects of the judgment of information quality and cognitive authority on Web searching behavior. Sixteen scholars from diverse disciplines participated in the experiments, and the data were collected combining search logs, think-aloud during the searches, and post-search interviews in the laboratory setting. The results identified two distinct kinds of judgment, predictive judgment and evaluative judgment. The facets of judgment and criteria used for making Judgments of quality and authority were analyzed associated with the types of task, status of users, and discipline areas of users.

Analyzing Patterns in User's Information Seeking Behavior on the Web (웹 이용자의 정보탐색행위 패턴 분석)

  • A Web-based environment has very various and heterogeneous users. The emphasis on their individual characteristics may make it hard to reach the general understanding of how they seek and use information on the Web. The purpose of this study is to find common patterns in information seeking behavior on the Web by analyzing a series of cognitive movement of users in interaction with the Web. Based on Dervin's concept and Timeline interview methodology, this study collected 37 Web experience descriptions from 21 respondents, which consisted of 302 steps. Findings addressed that Web information seeking behavior can be classified into seven types : Starting, Searching, Viewing/B row sing , Examining/comparing, Finding/compiling, Deciding/Acting, and Ending. Movement paths in the seven-type information seeking process showed that user's interaction with the Web was repeated and circulated at the Viewing/Browsing step and that information seeking behavior on the Web was multi-directional and non-linear.

Efficient Integer pixel Motion Estimation on H.264/AVC (H.264/AVC에서 효율적인 정화소 움직임 추정)

  • H.264/AVC에서 움직임 추정에 소요되는 시간을 줄이면서 보다 나은 화질을 유지하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 정화소 움직임 추정 기법을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 정화소 움직임 추정을 위하여 대칭적인 탐색패턴을 이용한 계층적인 탐색 기법을 사용하였다. 제안한 정화소 움직임 추정 탐색 기법은 십자가 탐색 패턴, 다중 사각형 탐색 패턴, 작은 사각형 탐색 패턴, 다이아몬드 탐색 패턴들로 이루어져 있다. 제안한 움직임 추정 탐색 기법에서 사용한 탐색 패턴들은 블록 움직임이 수직으로 크거나 블록 움직임이 크면서 규칙적인 영상에서 국부적 최소화 문제를 해결하고 움직임 추정에 소요되는 시간을 줄이기 위하여 탐색 영역 내에 탐색 점들을 규칙적, 대칭적으로 배치하였다. 제안한 기법의 성능을 전역 탐색 기법의 성능과 비교하였을 때 움직임 추정에 소요되는 시간에 있어서 약 4~5.5 배의 속도 향상을 가져왔으며, 영상 화질에 있어서 전역 탐색 기법의 화질과 같거나 약간의 화질 저화를 보였다. 반면에, 비대칭 다중 육각형 탐색 기법의 성능과 비교하였을 때 움직임 추정 속도면에 있어서 약간의 성능 향상과 화질에 있어서 비슷하거나 최대 0.05 (dB)정도 향상을 보였다.

The Study of Influence Factors on External Information Search Effort in Online Shopping Malls (온라인 쇼핑몰에서의 외부정보탐색노력에 대한 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study explored factors affecting consumer's external information search effort on online shopping malls through three approaches(cost-benefit approach, psychological motivation approach, and web-site theory approach) respectively, and designed the integrative model through searching the relationships among them. In this study search motivation are designed to be explained by search benefit and search cost that are explained by factors related to the web site and search efforts are designed to be explained by search benefit, search cost and search motivation. The results from our empirical research showed that search motivation, search benefits and prior knowledge on online shopping malls have a direct effect on consumer external information search effort. On the other hand, it was verified that the search motivation was affected by search benefits and purchase involvement, and the search benefits are directly influenced by purchase involvement, constructive simplicity, search convenience and trust. In addition, purchase involvement, time press, constructive simplicity and search convenience had direct effects on the search cost.

  • 본 논문은 디지털 오디오 도서관에 대규모 선율 데이터베이스로부터 임의의 곡을 효율적으로 탐색하기 위하여 음정곡선을 색인키로 사용하는 방법에 대해 기술했다. 사용자가 검색하고자 하는 음악의 일부 선율을 노래하면 입력된 음신호를 인식하여 음높이 정보를 추출한다. 그리고, 음표간의 음정을 계산하여 음표순으로 배열함으로써 음정 곡선을 만든다. 제안한 은표열 탐색 알고리즘에 생성된 음정 곡선을 탐색 패턴으로 입력하여 선율 데이터베이스의 음표열을 비교 조사한다. 그러면 근사 음정 곡선을 가진 후보곡을 탐색할 수 있다. 제안한 음표열 탐색 알고리즘은 실험을 통해 동적 프로그래밍 및 상태 대조 알고리즘과 비교한 결과 탐색 시간이 2배이상 향상되었다.

  • 기계학습 모델을 이용한 분류 및 회귀 문제해결에는 다양한 전처리 알고리즘 및 기계학습 모델이 활용된다. 하지만 합리적인 성능을 위해서는 주어진 데이터에 따라 적절한 알고리즘 조합에 대한 탐색 및 최적화 과정이 펄수적이다. 본 논문에서는 최적의 알고리즘 조합을 탐색하는 방법 중 랜덤 탐색과 유전 알고리즘 탐색 방법을 구현하고 8가지 데이터에 대한 성능 비교를 통해 여러 기계학습 모델을 고려하는 탐색 방법의 필요성을 보인다.

  • This research is speak that is tendencious in comprehension of external consumer information search behavior using on-line external information source to consumers who use on-line that is used as corporations' main strategic means. That is, classify consumer groups which was atomized according to type inflict consumer's information search knowledge level and shopping value study which use on-line, and decision factors of information search that these groups can influence a difference or each group which use information sources grasped what it is. Result that investigate information search knowledge level difference about study finding on-line information source utilization used mainly portal site, comparison site, auction site. And, utilization shopping pursuit value group used information source by portal site, auction site, niche shopping mall site and hedonic shopping pursuit value group used information source by portal site, auction site, shopping mall site. It confirmed that all variables(i.e. consumer-based variable and web site-based variable) are influencing variously in on-line external information search types. Finally, we proposed different way to erect strategic model about consumers that use on-line with study finding that see.

  • 스마트 폰의 보급이 대중화됨에 따라 다양한 앱들이 사용되고 있으나 효율적인 사전 탐색에 관한 앱은 그다지 많지 않다. 현재 공개된 한국어 사전 탐색 앱은 완전한 단어이거나 단어의 부분 문자열을 질의로 사용한다. 이 경우 완전한 단어를 기억하지 못하거나 한국어 정보처리를 위한 여러 형태의 음운 정보를 쉽게 탐색할 수 없다. 이러한 문제를 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 메타문자를 사용하여 효율적으로 단어를 탐색할 수 있는 앱을 개발한다. 본 논문에서 사용하는 메타문자는 임의의 음절을 표현하는 '*'와 '?'과 종성을 표현하는 ':'를 사용하며 사전구조는 자소 단위의 트라이를 사용한다. 또한 음절은 물론이고 자소(초성, 중성, 종성)로 구성된 질의를 탐색할 수 있다. 더구나 음절과 자소가 혼합된 질의도 사용할 수 있도록 하여 사용자의 편의를 크게 도모하였다.

A Hierarchical Server Structure for Parallel Location Information Search of Mobile Hosts (이동 호스트의 병렬적 위치 정보 탐색을 위한 서버의 계층 구조)

  • The development in the mobile computing systems have arisen new and previously unforeseen problems, such as problems in information management of mobile host, disconnection of mobile host and low bandwidths of wireless communications. Especially, location information management strategy of mobile host results in an increased overhead in mobile computing systems. Due to the mobility of the mobiles host, the changes in the mobile host's address depends on the mobile host's location, and is maintained by mapping physical address on virtual address, Since previously suggested several strategies for mapping method between physical address and virtual address did not tackle the increase of mobile host and distribution of location information, it was not able to support the scalability in mobile computing systems. Thus, to distribute the location inrormation, we propose an advanced n-depth LiST (Location information Search Tree) and the parallel location search and update strategy based on the advanced n-depth LiST. The advanced n-depth LiST is logically a hierarchical structure that clusters the location information server by ring structure and reduces the location information search and update cost by parallel seatch and updated method. The experiment shows that even though the distance of two MHs that communicate with each other is large, due to the strnctural distribution of location information, advanced n-depth LiST results in good performance. Moreover, despite the reduction in the location information search cost, there was no increase in the location information update cost.

The Effects of Information-searching for Korean Food Brand on Risk Perception and Preference (한식브랜드의 정보탐색이 위험지각과 애호도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of information search for Korean food brand on perceived risk and preference. To achieve this goal, using 10 exemplary restaurants appointed as Korean food brands in Seoul, a questionnaire survey was used to collect data through interview. Using the SPSS 21.0. total 296 responses were analyzed to test the relationship among variables. The findings are as follows. First, information search for Korean food brand showed that all external search, internal search and direct experience had a positive effect on preference. Second, there was no difference between information search for Korean food brand, risk perception and preference according to gender, but there was a significant difference between information search for Korean food brand, risk perception, and preference according to their age. Third, indifference moderated the relationship between external and internal information search and Korean food preference. Fourth, maladjustment moderated the relationship between external information and direct experience for Korean food preference.
