Clothing Shopping Orientations and Utilizations of Information Sources according to Values of Male Consumers Aged between the 20's and the 30's (20-30대 남성소비자의 가치의식에 따른 의류쇼핑성향과 정보원활용)

  • The purposes of this study were to research the clothing shopping orientations and the utilizations of information sources according to values of male consumer aged between the 20's and the 30's. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, x2- test, Pearson's correlation. The results of the study were as follows: 1. Male consumer's values were classified into 2 factors, and consisted of three groups. 2. There were significant differences among groups according to demographics variables. 3. Clothing shopping orientations were classified into 6 factors and information sources were classified into 3 factors. 4. There were relationships between male consumer's values, clothing shopping orientation, and utilization of information sources.

Exploring Persuasion Effects of Online Science Technology News (온라인 과학기술 뉴스의 설득효과 탐구)

  • The Internet is being utilized as a means of communication channel for science information. In this study, an experiment was conducted against college students, in which participants were assigned to one of the following four conditions: source status(professor, student) x social categorization(in-group, out-group). When the participants finished reading an online news article, perceived usefulness of and attitude toward the science technology were measured. The results show that the effect of source expertise on perceived usefulness was moderated by social categorization.

A Status Investigation and Analysis of the Chinese Web-Based Biographical Information Sources (웹 기반 중국인물정보원의 현황 조사와 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the status and characteristics of Web-based biographical information sources. Hence, this study examined the current status of Web-based biographical sources in China, Taiwan, Japan, and the U.S. It also conducted a comparative analysis of family names from the subject dictionary and Biography of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), reference books of China and the Chinese Historical Biographical Database and the China Biographical Database Project (CBDP) of the U.S. Furthermore, the problems related to status investigation and analyses of the Chinese biographical sources were studied. In this study, some suggestions were made to improve the management and usability of those biographical information sources in China and Korea.

A Study on Information Need and Use Behavior of Elementary Teachers According to Their Task (초등학교 교사의 정보 요구 및 이용 행태에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to obtain implications for educational information services for elementary school teachers by analyzing their information seeking behavior. The in-depth interview was carried out in-depth interviews with 11 elementary school teachers and it analyzed of the core roles and tasks of elementary school teachers, the required information and usage behavior of information sources. The study result showed that elementary school teachers perceived homeroom duties, teaching/learning activities, school duties, and other as their works and tasks, and the response to the importance of task performance was homeroom teacher, teaching-learning activities, school works, and other tasks. Also, elementary school teachers needed information in order of teaching-learning activities, homeroom teacher, school works and they used various information sources including web, interpersonal sources and book. Moreover, this study observed some factors that elementary school teacher mainly used web information source which other elementary school teacher developed and that they got teaching-learning materials from fellow teachers. Based on these findings, the author proposed teacher librarian share library based instruction materia in web resource, provide cooperative educational information service through learning community, and provide homeroom work material for elementary school teachers.

  • 과학기술활동에 의해 창출된 발명은 주로 특허에 의해 보호되고 있으나, 특허통계ㆍ지표에 대해서 국제적인 기준이 마련되지 않아 국제비교가 어려운 실정이며, 측정요소들의 조합에 의해 특허통계ㆍ지표의 종류 또한 매우 다양하지만, 이 지표를 모두가 과학기술활동을 측정하는 데에 유용한지에 대해서는 의문시된다. 따라서 그 대안으로서 각국 국가연구개발사업의 성과평가지표 활용사례 및 활용되고 있는 특허통계ㆍ지표를 중심으로 분석ㆍ연구하고자 한다.

  • This study is to improve the quality of online reference service which is serviced in the world. For this it suggests the strategic methods for collecting and connecting of internet information resources. It makes information service circumstance for professional librarians to retrieve and service. To achieve the purpose, this study have drawn implications by analysing the theoretical discussions and the cases of online reference resources system. This study suggests some strategies as follows; 1) Collaborative constructing and using of online reference resources, 2) Developing classification scheme and subdividing the subjects of it, 3) Developing the standard format of the data as like metadata, 4) Developing the guidelines to select the proper resources from many internet information resources, 5) Subdividing the 'knowledge DB' by subjects, 6) Connecting as much as possible the DBs as like the National DB and open access resources.

A Study on the Relevance Judgement of College Students in Problem Solving Process (대학생의 과제해결과정 중 정보적합성 판단에 관한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study are to analyze relevance judgement of college students' problem solving process and suggest improvements for information literacy education in higher education. The in-depth interviews were conducted with 9 subjects to identify relevance judgement processes and problems. As a result, the main problems during relevance judgement processes were judgement about content of document aligned with subject's opinion, judgement about reliability of newspaper articles, shortage of relevance judgement time due to deadline of an assignment and judgement of relationship of documents and evaluation result. The recommendations for information literacy education are as follows: objective relevance judgement education, guidance of reliable information source;showing guideline of using reference information by professor and emphasis of engaging in information (4.1 stage of Big 6).

A Study of Information Literacy Curriculum Using Topic Modeling (토픽모델링을 활용한 정보활용교육 연구주제 분석 및 교육내용 제안)

  • The aim of this study is to identify the research topics and suggest an information literacy curriculum by analyzing research articles on information literacy. For this purpose, we applied the topic modeling technique to 97 scientific articles and identified the core contents of information literacy education, such as media literacy, information literacy instruction, and the use of information resources. Based on the analysis results, we suggested an information literacy curriculum by considering the Big 6 model, information literacy standards of American Association of School Library, and Association of College and Research Libraries's information literacy competencies. This study is significant in that it considered 'use of information resources' and 'information ethics' to suggest information literacy education.
