This study investigated how college students seek and use information sources at the time of their decision making (especially during elections on this study). More than 360 students in 12 colleges located in Seoul were randomly selected and participated in this study. The survey asked them what kind of information sources they use at the time of their decision making as well as when they use information as usual. Several criteria for information evaluation were adopted to analyze information attributes and information seeking behavior of the population. Compare to the previous studies, Internet resources are more used than ever, information credibility and authority affected more to the population's political decision making. Additional examinations were executed to see deeper story of their information seeking at the end.

인공지능 관련 기술의 발달로 다양한 분야에서 인공지능 활용에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있으며 전문영역에서도 기계학습 기법을 활용한 연구들이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 특허청에서는 분야별 전문지식을 가진 분류담당자가 출원되는 모든 특허에 국제특허분류코드(이하 IPC) 부여 작업을 수행하고 있다. IPC 분류와 같은 전문적인 업무영역에서 딥러닝을 활용한 자동 IPC 분류 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 기계학습을 이용하는 분류 모델에 분야별 전문지식을 직관적으로 반영하는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 딥러닝 기반의 IPC 분류 모델과 전문지식이 반영된 분류별 어휘사전을 활용한 규칙기반 분류 모델을 병행하여 특허문서의 IPC분류를 자동으로 추천하는 방법을 제안한다.

본 논문은 한글 정보원을 Markov source로 구현하였을 때 요구되는 terra byte 이상의 방대한 기억 공간의 점유를 해결하기 위해, 이에 대한 통계자료를 조사하고 이를 기초로 기억 공간을 줄일 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다. 제안된 방식에 의해 한글 정보원을 천이확률에 따라서 구현시 paged list 구조로 7차 이상의 Markov 한국어 정보원을 수백 Kbyte의 기억 공간으로 구현 할 수 있었다. 그리고, Markov 한국어 정보원의 활용도를 넓히기 위하여 backward Markov 정보원을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 한글 문장에서 손실된 단어의 수정뿐만이 아니라 기타 Markov source를 한글에 적용하는 모든 분야에 기초적인 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

This study is designed to identify the knowledge information resources of international organizations and the current situation and problems of gaining and using the information resources of international organizations. The researcher made a selection of a total of 115 organizations: 59 international organizations and Professional organizations under the jurisdiction of UN, 29 intergovernmental organizations, and 27 regional organizations. The questionnaire subjects were domestic university libraries. national libraries. and professional libraries of a certain size. The researcher took a look at the current collection situations of international organization information resources, the designation of trusted libraries. the subject areas of Possessed international organizational publications. the current situations of material management and use, the demand for international information resources. The findings will hopefully be used as basic materials for the service model of official international integrate information organization.

The study examines two aspects that relate to undergraduates' selection and use of information sources for their academic assignments: (1) sources perceived useful vs. sources frequently used, and (2) source characteristics considered important as selection criteria vs. selection criteria used as reflected in characteristics of frequently used sources. A survey of 251 undergraduate students attempted to address the gaps between what students think they should do and what they actually do with regard to source selection. Characteristics of frequently used sources were analyzed to find out the criteria used for source selection. Friends/family were among the frequently used sources although they were not perceived as useful. Unlike other sources suffering gaps between the perceived usefulness and the use behavior, Web sources were the ones not only perceived most useful but also used most frequently. When the important selection criteria were compared with the characteristic of sources used often, students did not seem to actually use the selection criteria they thought important. While students considered some characteristics related to information quality (e.g., accuracy, comprehensiveness) as important criteria for source selection, the actual criteria they applied for choosing information sources could be described as 'convenient' or 'accessible' (e.g., efficient/time saving, easy to use, familiar, accessible). Based on the findings, suggestions were made to help bridge such gaps through information literacy programs and information systems design.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the information resources referenced by human indexers during indexing process are effective on Text Categorization. More specifically, information resources from bibliographic information as well as full text information were explored in the context of a typical scientific journal article data set. The experiment results pointed out that information resources such as citation, source title, and title were not significantly different with full text. Whereas keyword was found to be significantly different with full text. The findings of this study identify that information resources referenced by human indexers can be considered good candidates for text categorization for automatic subject term assignment.

과학기술분야에서 인터넷을 어떻게 활용할 수 있을지, 자신의 분야에 최적으로 이용하면서 맹신의 과오를 범하지 않는 것이 정보화시대의 무기가 될 수 있다. 인터넷의 활용방안과 주요 검색엔진의 과학기술정보를 소개한다. 국내에 전문 과학기술정보원도 운용되고 있으며, 해외의 정보원도 많이 알고 있을수록 유용할 것이다. 그외 천리안이나 원문제공기관을 통한 정보입수는 어떻게 하면 되는지 살펴본다.
