A Study on the Effect of Technological Innovation Capability and Technology Commercialization Capability on Business Performance in SMEs of Korea (우리나라 중소기업의 기술혁신능력과 기술사업화능력이 경영성과에 미치는 영향연구)

  • With the advent of knowledge-based society, the revitalization of technological innovation type SMEs, termed "inno-biz" hereafter, has been globally recognized as a government policymakers' primary concern in strengthening national competitiveness, and much effort is being put into establishing polices of boosting the start-ups and innovation capability of SMEs. Especially, in that the inno-biz enables national economy to get vitalized by widening world markets with its superior technology, and thus, taking the initiative of extremely competitive world markets, its growth and development has greater significance. In the case of Korea, the government has been maintaining the policies since the late 1990s of stimulating the growth of SMEs as well as building various infrastructures to foster the start-ups of the SMEs such as venture businesses with high technology. In addition, since the enactment of "Innovation Promotion Law for SMEs" in 2001, the government has been accelerating the policies of prioritizing the growth and development of inno-biz. So, for the sound growth and development of Korean inno-biz, this paper intends to offer effective management strategies for SMEs and suggest proper policies for the government, by researching into the effect of technological innovation capability and technology commercialization capability as the primary business resources on business performance in Korean SMEs in the light of market information orientation. The research is carried out on Korean companies characterized as inno-biz. On the basis of OSLO manual and prior studies, the research categorizes their status. R&D capability, technology accumulation capability and technological innovation system are categorized into technological innovation capability; product development capability, manufacturing capability and marketing capability into technology commercialization capability; and increase in product competitiveness and merits for new technology and/or product development into business performance. Then the effect of each component on business performance is substantially analyzed. In addition, the mediation effect of technological innovation and technology commercialization capability on business performance is observed by the use of the market information orientation as a parameter. The following hypotheses are proposed. H1 : Technology innovation capability will positively influence business performance. H1-1 : R&D capability will positively influence product competitiveness. H1-2 : R&D capability will positively influence merits for new technology and/or product development into business performance. H1-3 : Technology accumulation capability will positively influence product competitiveness. H1-4 : Technology accumulation capability will positively influence merits for new technology and/or product development into business performance. H1-5 : Technological innovation system will positively influence product competitiveness. H1-6 : Technological innovation system will positively influence merits for new technology and/or product development into business performance. H2 : Technology commercializing capability will positively influence business performance. H2-1 : Product development capability will positively influence product competitiveness. H2-2 : Product development capability will positively influence merits for new technology and/or product development into business performance. H2-3 : Manufacturing capability will positively influence product competitiveness. H2-4 : Manufacturing capability will positively influence merits for new technology and/or product development into business performance. H2-5 : Marketing capability will positively influence product competitiveness. H2-6 : Marketing capability will positively influence merits for new technology and/or product development into business performance. H3 : Technology innovation capability will positively influence market information orientation. H3-1 : R&D capability will positively influence information generation. H3-2 : R&D capability will positively influence information diffusion. H3-3 : R&D capability will positively influence information response. H3-4 : Technology accumulation capability will positively influence information generation. H3-5 : Technology accumulation capability will positively influence information diffusion. H6 : Market information orientation will mediate the relationship between technology innovation capability and business performance. H7 : Market information orientation will mediate the relationship between technology commercializing capability and business performance. The followings are the research results : First, as for the effect of technological innovation on business performance, the technology accumulation capability and technological innovating system have a positive effect on increase in product competitiveness and merits for new technology and/or product development, while R&D capability has little effect on business performance. Second, as for the effect of technology commercialization capability on business performance, the effect of manufacturing capability is relatively greater than that of merits for new technology and/or product development. Third, the mediation effect of market information orientation is identified to exist partially in information generation, information diffusion and information response. Judging from these results, the following analysis can be made : On Increase in product competitiveness, directly related to successful technology commercialization of technology, management capability including technological innovation system, manufacturing capability and marketing capability has a relatively strong effect. On merits for new technology and/or product development, on the other hand, capability in technological aspect including R&D capability, technology accumulation capability and product development capability has relatively strong effect. Besides, in the cast of market information orientation, the level of information diffusion within an organization plays and important role in new technology and/or product development. Also, for commercial success like increase in product competitiveness, the level of information response is primarily required. Accordingly, the following policies are suggested : First, as the effect of technological innovation capability and technology commercialization capability on business performance differs among SMEs; in order for SMEs to secure competitiveness, the government has to establish microscopic policies for SMEs which meet their needs and characteristics. Especially, the SMEs lacking in capital and labor are required to map out management strategies of focusing their resources primarily on their strengths. And the government needs to set up policies for SMEs, not from its macro-scaled standpoint, but from the selective and concentrative one that meets the needs and characteristics of respective SMEs. Second, systematic infrastructures are urgently required which lead technological success to commercial success. Namely, as technological merits at respective SME levels do not always guarantee commercial success, the government should make and effort to build systematic infrastructures including encouragement of M&A or technology trade, systematic support for protecting intellectual property, furtherance of business incubating and industrial clusters for strengthening academic-industrial network, and revitalization of technology financing, in order to make successful commercialization from technological success. Finally, the effort to innovate technology, R&D, for example, is essential to future national competitiveness, but its result is often prolonged. So the government needs continuous concern and funding for basic science, in order to maximize technological innovation capability. Indeed the government needs to examine continuously whether technological innovation capability or technological success leads satisfactorily to commercial success in market economic system. It is because, when the transition fails, it should be left to the government.

  • 우리 군이 정보전 능력을 갖추기 위한 최우선 과제는 $C^4ISR$체계의 구축이라 할 수 있다. 21세기 지식.정보 중심이 전장에서 $C^4ISR$체계가 가장 핵심적인 기능과 역할을 담당하므로 $C^4ISR$능력의 확보가 없이는 적의 의도를 적시에 파악할 수 없을 뿐만 아니라 적절한 대응 역시 불가능하기 때문이다. 따라서 우리 군이 미래를 대비하고 향후 정보화전쟁에서 승리하기 위해서는 분산된 정보체계를 통합하고 정보화 전문인력을 효율적으로 운용해야 하며, 21세기 지식.정보 중심의 전장에서 가장 핵심적인 기능과 역할을 담당하는 국방 $C^4ISR$체계를 중점적으로 개척할 필요가 있다.

Survey Study about the Priority of Vocational Core Competence for the Occupational Therapist (작업치료사의 직업기초능력 우선순위 조사연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey the occupational therapists's vocational core competency. Study subjects were 138 occupational therapists and 95 students majored occupational therapy and they participated in the survey about the vocational core ability to confirm the factors about the vocational core ability. As the results of these, both occupational therapists and university students majored occupational therapy felt the need for vocational ability and communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and problem-solving skills were found to be important, and that they also possessed them. However, only in the group of students majored occupational therapy showed that technical skills were important, but they did not possess the most. Accordingly, it is necessary to consider a curriculum that can collect knowledge and information on various skills necessary for actual vocational performance as the occupational therapist.

  • 인터넷의 등장과 네트워킹 기술의 빠른 발전은 다양한 응용의 등장 및 사용자의 증가에 의한 대역폭 요구량 증가 등의 변화를 가져왔다. 이러한 변화와 기존 라우터의 한계점으로 인해 스위칭과 라우팅 장비의 고성능화, 확장된 라우팅 기능의 제공 등이 필요하게 되었고, 이를 위하여 IETF는 현재 MPLS라는 Label switching 방식을 표준화 중이다. 이 표준화 작업에 기반이 된 기술 중의 하나가 태그 스위칭 기술이며, 본 논문에서는 이 기술에 대한 성능을 분석하였다. 표준 및 스위치 개발이 연구중인 현 시점에서, 태그 스위칭 기술의 성능 평가 결과는 특히, ATM의 스위칭 능력과 IP계층 능력의 효율적인 활용의 기반 자료가 될 것이다. 본 논문은 라우터와 태그 스위치를 포함하는 망을 구성하고 NLANR에서 제공하는 인터넷 트래픽을 입력 트래픽 소스로 하여 성능 평가를 수행하였으며, 태그 스위칭의 구조 및 ATM testbed에서의 구현 시, 이 기술이 갖는 스위칭의 기능성 및 성능을 분석하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the effectiveness (knowledge, attitude, skills of Evidence-Based Practice, and problem solving skills) of nursing information literacy competency enhancement program for nursing students. It is a pre-post design study carried out with a single group of 72 sophomores in a nursing college. Nursing information literacy competency enhancement program of 6 times (8 hours) was provided to nursing students. Our results have demonstrated that knowledge, attitude, skills of evidence-based practice, and problem solving skills were significantly higher in nursing students. In conclusion, the nursing information literacy competency enhancement program was effective in promoting knowledge, attitude, skills of evidence-based practice and problem solving skills. Based on our results, the nursing information literacy competency enhancement program can provide a basis for enhancing evidence-based nursing practice competencies and problem solving skills of nursing students.

  • RFID 시스템은 물품 등 관리할 사물에 태그를 부착하고 전파를 이용하여 사물의 정보(Identification) 및 주변 환경정보를 인식하여 각 사물의 정보를 수집, 저장, 가공 및 추적함으로써 사물에 대한 측위, 원격처리ㆍ관리 및 사물간 정보교환 등 다양한 서비스를 제공하며, 칩, 태그, 리더, 미들웨어 및 응용 서비스 플랫폼으로 구성된다. 이러한 RFID 기술은 반도체 기술의 지속적인 발전에 의한 컴퓨팅 능력의 급성장과 통신망 인프라의 융합화를 기반으로 이제까지의 사람 중심(anyone) 정보화에서 사물을 중심(anything)으로 정보화의 지평을 확대시킬 수 있는 핵심기술로서 부각되고 있으며, 10 m 이내의 사물 정보화를 위한 u-센서(유비쿼터스 센서) 네트워크로 발전될 전망이다.

  • With the society rapidly changing, children are being asked respond quickly to these changes. Therefore, how children learn and think comes before what to teach, and we need to come up with ways to nurture their ability to proactively control their lives and studies. We attempt to use the technique of Accelerated learning, which focuses on the student's own ability toacquire and use information, to enhance the efficiency of information technology education. We designed the PLAY model based on accelerated learning and Multiple Intelligence Theory, and conducted ten experimental sessions on two groups of 70 second grade elementary school students.

  • 현재, 눈에 띄게 전개되고 있는 국제 경쟁의 성패는 한 나라의 노동생산의 질, 생산환경의 능력에 따라 크게 좌우되고 있다. 또 현재와 같이 정보화 사회로의 급진전은 정보의 지적 생산의 증가를 촉진하고 있다. 따라서 지적 정보처리의 도구(컴퓨터)에 대한 최적화 설계 및 경제적인 개발, 활용능력의 국민적 균일화는 고품질의 국가노동생산을 추구하는 21세기의 국가지표가 될 것임에 틀림없다. 이 논문 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째로 첨단기술과 기술혁신이 갖는 의미와 역사적 배경을 논하여, 한국의 시대적, 사회적 환경과 위치를 진단한다. 둘째는 사회의 변천역사에 맞추어 한국의 장래를 예견하는 입장에서 우리가 안고 있는 국민적 과제는 무엇이며, 컴퓨터기술(설계기술, 이용기술)이 국민에 대한 봉사기술로서 어떻게 정착되어, 활용되어야 할 것인가에 대해 논한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 향후 유비쿼터스 환경을 고려하여 위치기반서비스의 활용성과 응용분야에 관하여 조사, 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 약 68개의 유비쿼터스 응용서비스를 조사하고, 서비스의 특징에 관한 전문가의 견해를 반영하였다. 연구내용으로는 먼저 다양한 유비쿼터스 관련 활용 시스템들을 서비스 유형으로 분류하도록 한다. 서비스 유형에 대한 분류는 국내외 자료를 바탕으로 조사하여 기준을 재분류하여 서비스를 유형별로 그룹화 하였다. 다음으로는 기술분류를 수행하였다. 기술분류는 모바일과 위치기반서비스들에 기본이 되는 위치정확도, 이동성, 상황인식능력, 정체성파악능력, 정보이력관리 등을 분류하도록 한다. 이제 각각의 서비스들에 대하여 기술 분류에 해당한 기술요소가 미치는 중요도에 따라서 설문을 기초로 점수로 배정하도록 하고, 각각의 서비스 유형들에 대한 특징을 분석하였다. 특히 위치기반서비스에서는 위치기반서비스를 위하여 보다 강조되어야 하는 이동성, 위치정확도, 정체성 등을 고려하여 향후 활발히 전개될 서비스들에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 이를 통하여 향후 유비쿼터스 환경에서 위치기반서비스가 활용되어질 분야에 대하여 예측하여 볼 수 있고, 각각의 기술 항목들간의 상관성도 분석하여 볼 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는, 임베디드 리눅스 보드를 기반으로 센서에서 정보를 받아 장애물에 대한 거리 감지를 통해 보행궤적을 생성할 수 있는 다족 모바일 로봇의 대해 기술하고자 한다. 현재 임베디드 시스템 분야는 반도체 기술과 소프트웨어 기술의 빠른 발전으로 인하여 시스템의 처리 능력이 급속도로 발전되고 있으며 임베디드 시스템은 적용분야를 점점 넓혀가고 있다. 본 연구는 리눅스 보드의 빠른 처리 능력과 효율적인 시스템 관리 능력을 다족 모바일 로봇에 적용하여 로봇의 안정적인 보행을 꾀하였다. 본 연구에서는 바퀴를 사용할 수 없는 지형에서 보행을 이용한 장애물회피 능력을 실험하고자, HYBUS사의 X-Hyper PXA-255A보드를 적용하였다. 본 논문에 대해서는 실험을 통해 이를 검증 하였다.
