The purpose of this study is to suggest a new educational model of information retrieval suited to the practical needs. For this, technical, methodological, social, and economic changes of information retrieval environment are analysed and the required roles for the information retrieval services are evaluated. In addition, this study investigated the educational situation of the subject of information retrieval at 32 universities and 2 institutions. The findings suggest that the subject of information retrieval should be seperated into theoretical instruction and practical hours in order to meet the new requirements.

In this study, a model in which certification standards were added to the health information management practice program was studied and presented in order to understand the EMR certification standards implemented by the Korea Health and Medical Information Service. In the practice program, the certification standard function for patient information management was added to the health information management education system to practice and understand patient information management that corresponds to the functional standard of the EMR certification system. The EMR certification standard practice program for patient information management is composed of the following certification standards. registration number and personal information management, treatment reservation schedule management, personal information revision history management, identification of people with the same name, integrated management of multiple registration numbers, patient search by identification information, patient search by health care type, surgical procedure consent record and inquiry, record/inquiry of consent form for personal information use, display of life-sustaining medical decision information, registration/inquiry of external medical institution documents, registration and inquiry of external examination results. In this way, by operating and practicing the functions of the health information system according to the certification standards, it is possible to understand and practice the certification standards and details of patient information management in the functional area of the certification standards. In addition, since the function of the EMR certification standard can be checked, it will be possible to improve the management ability of the electronic medical record system of the health information manager in the medical institution.

As the Web continues to expand and the amount of database increases, it is argued that the information scanning in web-centric search and retrieval become an important and professional activity. This analysis was performed to diagnose the ability of information scanning of searchers and to investigate the obstacles hindering the searchers from information scanning. Findings indicate that, even if the undergraduate students of information & library science had been exposed themselves to the LIS curriculum for four or three college years, their ability of information scanning was not sufficient enough to carry out successful DB searching or retrieval services as subject specialists. Some suggestions for improving information scanning ability of information professionals were derived from the experiment results.

Constructional media centers connected to education of library and information science sets laboratory rooms for practical classification and cataloging classes; laboratory rooms for film media which can utilize advanced media, listening tools, and practical materials; information management laboratory rooms which can experience the various information research methods through the Internet, cultivate the ability of information application, and teach the curriculum of library and information science related to computers.

The purpose of this study is a systematic literature review to investigate the effect of clinical judgment after simulation practice in nursing students in Korea. The research subjects were papers published from 2011 to February 2021, and the Korean database, KmBase, Korea Research Information (KISS), and Science and Technology Information (NDSL) were searched. ','Nursing debriefing' was searched. Out of a total of 279 studies, the final 3 literatures were selected. All three studies were non-randomized quasi-experimental studies, and the quality of the literature was confirmed. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the debriefing after the simulation-based class showed statistically significant results for clinical judgment. In order to see the effect of simulation-based education, it is necessary to design a systematic interventional study in the future, and it can be suggested that field practice and a comparative study of simulation are necessary.

This study examines research trends and measurement tools related to clinical practicum satisfaction among nursing students, with the goal of offering insights for future research directions A search was conducted using combinations of the keywords 'nursing college students,' 'clinical practice satisfaction,' 'practice satisfaction,' and 'practice' from 1985 to 2022 in three domestic databases. After applying selection/exclusion criteria, a final analysis was performed on 91 studies. The papers analyzed in this study consisted of 91 quantitative studies (100%), and 75 studies(82.4%) lacked IRB approval. Furthermore, the research tools used in these studies often lacked reliability and validity verification. Additionally, a significant proportion of the variables related to clinical practice satisfaction focused on individual students, with 35 types associated with individual competency and emotional characteristics. These findings indicate the need for various efforts in nursing professional development to improve students' satisfaction with clinical practice.

This study proposed to assess courses which are currently offered in the Department of Library and Information Science, and to explore directions for improvement. Based on field librarians' needs and opinions about the courses, we suggested separating the required, core, and elective courses. We proposed six courses including 'Internship', 'Introduction to Library and Information Science', 'Cataloging and Classification', 'Library Management', and 'Information Retrieval' as required courses, and 5 courses including 'Practice in Cataloging and Classification', 'Information Resource and Service', 'Collection Development', 'Digital Library System', 'Introduction to Bibliography' and 'Records Management and Archives' as core courses. Finally, the remaining courses were recommended as selective courses which each department could select depending on their circumstances and faculty. The important components for substantial LIS courses are as follows: timeliness of training topics, expertise of educational contents, professionalism and qualifications of faculty, specialized educational materials, and increasing the major correlation between courses and professors.

Communication problems have been regarded as one of the biggest causes in trouble in many industries. This led to extensive research on communication as a part of human error analysis. The results of existing researches have revealed that maintaining a good quality of communication is essential to secure the safety of a large and complex process system. In this paper, we suggested a method to measure the quality of communication during off-normal situation in main control room of nuclear power plants. It evaluates the cosine similarity that is a measure of sentence similarity between two operators by finding the cosine of the angle between them. To check the applicability of the method to evaluate communication quality, we compared the result of communication quality analysis with the result of operation performance that was performed by operators under simulated environment.

The purpose of this study is to raise the importance of information literacy programs for professional secretaries and to present guidelines for organizing them. While the level of projects in secretaries' information service is defined as an influencing factor to the necessity of information literacy programs, the level of scholarships or secretarial science as a major is not. An analysis on education needs of secretaries recommended that curriculum should be composed of 15 topics such as: meta search engines, special search engines, boolean operators, digital libraries, usenet, information centers, internet reference sources, SDI, topic search request, document delivery service, e-journals, commercial databases, fulltext service, search strategy and general search engines.

The purpose of this study is to produce and distribute a smart device based educational application for culinary practice. This study was performed from Jul. 1 to Dec. 30, 2012. The design of the application is composed of the theoretical contents, making methods, practice video and evaluation questions of Western cuisine among the contents of the culinary practice education. In addition, the notice and Q&A were added for the interaction between teachers and learners. For this study, 31 main dishes' pictures, 155 pictures for making processes by menu, 31 recipes, 31 cooking tips, 372 evaluation questions and 31 cooking videos about 31 menus were produced. The contents produced as above were directly inserted at 'http://kongju-fn.dslink.co.kr/super/index.html' to produce the application. This application can be found through searching with the word of 'yoribaksa'. This study can be considered to be significant in that this application was produced in the situation of the absence of any other previous applications for culinary practice education.
