A Study on Projection for Apophyseal Joints Diagnosis in X-ray Thoracic Bone Oblique Projection (X-ray 등뼈의 사위 촬영에서 돌기사이관절의 진단을 위한 촬영법 연구)

  • This Study Rreceived Subjective Evaluation ROC Evaluation from five projection. of projection. at a University Hospital to Obtain and Diagnose Sharp images of apophyseal joints and Vertral arch of Thoracic vertebrae from thoracic X-ray projection. In the Subjective evaluation, the highest Score was obtained by raising the phantom from Supine to LAO by 70° and scoring 20 points at 5° with the X-ray Tube facing the head. In addition, he scored the highest score of 19 points at 8° with the Prone Phantom standing 60° with RAO and the X-ray Tube facing the head. For Objective Evaluation, the Signal-to-noise ratio, was calculated. ROI was set at 1,564 mm2 to obtain the image signal average value (Mean value) and the Standard deviation (SD value). Objective Evaluation The signal-to-noise ratio, was the highest at 5° toward the head in the LPO 70° position of the phantom in the lying position of the Thoracic spine projection, and the Thoracic Spine was the highest at 8° toward the head of the RAO posture of 5,645.

Research on a Valuation Standard and the Actual Condition About Security Management in PACS (PACS에서 보안관리 평가기준 연구와 실태조사)

  • This study is to prepare an evaluation standard about personal information protection and security management of a medical institution and to build up a grade standard of evaluation in PACS environment. We built up evaluation index based on 10 detailed items in four big categories (political security, technical security, data management security and physical security) by referring to ISO17799 (BS 7799), HIPPA (Health Insurance and Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) and domestic medical law. We have investigated at the thirty places where medical facility with the extracted security criteria and security evaluation index. Average score of physical security list, one of the big categories, was 18.5/20 (93%) at all medical institutions. Political security score was 18.5/30 (62%), data management security score was 12/20 (60%) and technical security score was 17.5/30 (58%). Therefore, security evaluation score was average 67 in 30 general hospitals, which was 4th level. The results showed that it is necessary to establish evaluation and management standard about personal information protection and security consciousness which are weak in PACS environment.

  • Digital image technology can be used for the development of new curriculum, course assignment, teaching methods, or the evaluation of library and information science courses. In this way, the teaching course becomes more effective and more interesting. This study has shown that the number of the student registration was increased, the interaction between the instructor and students became more frequent. and the course evaluation by students were very much improved.

  • Objectives:This study evaluated the association between behavioral characteristics and polymorphisms in DAT1, DRD2, DRD3, and DRD4 genes. Methods:The subjects were 114 neonates, who were born by normal spontaneous vaginal delivery and had no physical problems. The behavioral characteristics were evaluated using Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale(NBAS) at $17.8{\pm}7.0$ hours after their birth to minimize environmental influences, and cord blood was used to analyze the gene polymorphisms. Results:In comparison to DAT1 gene 10/10 genotype group(N=93), other genotype group(N=19) showed significantly high NBAS scores on social-interaction, state organization, and state regulation. DRD2 gene Ser311/Cys311, TaqI A, and TaqI B polymorphisms showed no significant differences on NBAS scores when they were grouped by genotypes. DRD3 gene polymorphism and DRD4 gene promotor polymorphism showed no significant difference on NBAS scores when they were grouped by genotypes. In comparison to the short repeats(N=102), long repeats(N=10) in DRD4 gene showed significantly high habituation score of NBAS. Conclusion:These results suggest that the genetic effects of the neonatal behavioral characteristics may be mediated via DAT1 and DRD4 genes.

  • Background : The Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score can help to assess organ failure over time and is useful to evaluate morbidity. The aim of this study is to evaluate the performance of SOFA score as a descriptor of multiple organ failure in critically ill patients in a local unit hospital, and to compare with APACHE III scoring system. Methods : This study was carried out prospectively. A total of ninety one patients were included who admitted to the medical intensive care unit (ICU) in Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital from May 1 through June 30, 2000. We excluded patients with a length of stay in the ICU less than 2 days following scheduled procedure, admissions for ECG monitoring, other department and patients transferred to other hospital. The SOFA score and APACHE III score were calculated on admission and then consecutively every 24 hours until ICU discharge. Results : The ICU mortality rate was 20%. The non-survivors had a higher SOFA score within 24 hours after admission. The number of organ failure was associated with increased mortality. The evaluation of a subgroup of 74 patients who stayed in the ICU for at least 48 hours showed that survivors and non-survivors followed a different course. In this subgroup, the total SOFA score increased in 81% of the non-survivors but in only 21% of the survivors. Conversely, the total SOFA score decreased in 48% of the survivors compared with 6% of the non-survivors. The non-survivors also had a higher APACHE III score within 24 hours and there was a correlation between SOFA score and APACHE III score. Conclusion : The SOFA score is a simple, but effective method to assess organ failure and to predict mortality in critically ill patients. Regular and repeated scoring enables patient's condition and clinical course to be monitored and better understood. The SOFA score well correlates with APACHE III score.

  • Consideration of Glenohumeral joint's image with the Changed Body angle of the Glenohumeral joint's Oblique Position in Erect Position. Glenohumeral joint's of Grashey method is a shoulder oblique method available to view the shoulder joint. Grashey method projects AP view of the Glenohumeral joint's so that the Humerus head's subluxation or joint degeneration can be easily visualized. However in this view, the patients, erect position, have to keep their body obliquely. Oblique position is will be needed to get the good quality Glenohumeral joint's view. Therefore, we thought of examining a method which shows the Glenohumeral joint's well by angling the patient one side upward in erect position. For this study, total 20 subject with no history of neurological or psychiatric illness, were recruited for examinations. They consisted of 13 mails and 7 femails, Statistic group analysis was performed with ANOVA test. Score of the evaluation of the expects were $30^{\circ}$ at $0.40{\pm}0.499$, $35^{\circ}$ at $1.34{\pm}0.657$, $40^{\circ}$ at $1.84{\pm}0.573$, $45^{\circ}$ at $0.76{\pm}0.649$, and they were significant(P<0.05). The degree of $40^{\circ}$ views were shown to yield good quality shoulder oblique images.

A Study on Elementary Pre-service Teachers' Science Instructional Ability, Science Pedagogy Achievement, and Science Instructional Evaluation Factors according to Gender (초등예비교사들의 남·여 성별에 따른 과학수업능력, 과학교수법 성취도 및 과학수업 평가요소에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference in science class ability, science pedagogy achievement and class evaluation factors according to elementary pre-service teacher's gender. Also, the correlation between science pedagogy achievement and science instructional ability was examined. Finally, the evaluation factors applied to the evaluation of science instruction according to male and female gender of elementary pre-service teachers were examined. This study was conducted from september 2019 to december 2019 for 88 elementary pre-service teachers attending P University of Education in Pusan metropolitan city. Among these 88 students, 32 elementary pre-service students were male, 56 were female. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the science instructional ability according to genders of elementary pre-service teachers, female elementary pre-service teachers showed statistically significant higher scores in science class ability compared to male elementary pre-service teachers. Second, as a result of analyzing the achievement of elementary science pedagogy according to gender of elementary pre-service teachers, female showed statistically significant higher scores for elementary science pedagogy than that of male. Third, as a result of analyzing the correlation between science instructional ability and elementary science pedagogy achievement, there was no statistically significant difference. This result can be applied both side of male and female. Fourth, both male and female pre-service teachers had various instructional evaluation factors, among which the linguistic factors of the instruction were used most frequently as criteria for instructional evaluation.

  • Over the past decades, changes in economic, social and demographic structures have pushed the growth of care employment across countries around the world. Women's increasing labor force participation has squeezed the time so far available for unpaid caregiving and led to increased demand for paid care services. Population aging and increasing needs for pre-school education also have contributed to the growth in demand for care services. As a result, care workers now comprise a large and growing segment of the labor force in many countries including South Korea. But, there are not a few problems. Especially, we take underpaid and undervalued care work very seriously. care work has been generally characterized as underpaid and undervalued compared with other work in developed and developing countries alike. This study tries to show current situation of care work and estimate the wage penalty for doing care work in Korea using official employment micro-data and applying propensity matching analysis. Especially, recent expansion of social service is a big step up for Korean Welfare State. But, there are not a few problems. Especially, we take underpaid and undervalued care work very seriously.   • 본 논문은 사이버가정학습 인터페이스의 디자인과 관련한 학생들의 감성 만족도를 알아보기 위하여 감성공학의 방법과 사용성(Usability)평가 방법 중 휴리스틱 평가법을 활용하였다. 각각의 인터페이스에서 학습자의 감성만족도와 전문가의 디자인 적합성 휴리스틱 평가 결과를 분석하여 16개 사이트의 상대적 감성평가 순위를 알아보았다. 학생들의 감성만족도 평가와 전문가의 휴리스틱 평가를 종합한 결과 가장 높은 점수를 받은 것은 부산, 서울, 울산, 제주 사이버가정학습이었다. 본 연구에서 제시한 사이버가정학습 인터페이스 감성평가 방법은 웹 디자이너만의 생각으로 디자인하던 인터페이스에서 벗어나 학습자 중심의 인터페이스를 디자인하는데 도움이 될 것이다. 또한 이용도가 낮은 사이버가정학습 사이트의 문제점을 파악하고 개선하여 학습자의 이용도를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

  • The biggest strength of the Internet is to enable to access information without any limitation of time and space. As the Internet and IT technologies have been developed, various kinds of teaching ways in education field such as remote lectures, video lectures, and CAI(Computer Adapted Instruction) have emerged. In terms of education, evaluation can be a basic foundation to help teach students in the next learning stage according to each student's level. In addition, it is able to give the information of students'abilities and provides proper learning programs to teach students on a case-by-case basis. The purpose of the paper is to establish evaluation system on the WWW(World Wide Web) that can reflect learning activities part of students in their evaluation scores based on the two important learning theories, Behaviorism and constructivism, which are mainly used in evaluation procedures to judge learning ability of students. This system will give information about learners, and analyze the learning interest of learners. The proposed system enables teachers to evaluate learning ability of students through various kinds of information of learners, and to execute level-based education.
