런아웃을 고려한 측면 엔드밀 가공의 절삭력 분석 (An Analysis of the Cutting Force for Peripheral End-milling Considering Run-out)

  • The cutting force for peripheral end-milling considering run-out property was estimated and its result was compared with that of measured one. An experimental coefficient modelling was used for the formulation of theoretical end-milling force by considering the specific cutting force coefficient. Also, the specific cutting force, that is the multiplication of specific cutting force coefficient and uncut chip thickness, was used for the prediction of end-milling force. The end-milling force mechanics with run-out was presented for the estimation of theoretical force in peripheral end-milling by considering the geometric shape of the workpiece part. As a result, the estimated end-milling force shows a good consistency with the measured one. And it can be used for the prediction of force history in end-milling with run-out which incurs different start and exit immersion angle in entering and exiting condition.

  • 화학증착법에 의해 $Si_3N_4-TiC$ 복합재료 위에 코팅된 TiC 박막은 TiN 박막에 비하여 우수한 미세구조와 열충격저항, 계면결합을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 화학증착법에 의한 TiN 박막은 TiC 박막에 비해 강철과의 마찰계수가 작고 화학적으로 안정하였다. 실험결과는 코팅된 절삭공구가 우수한 내 마모성을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 다중 코팅된 절삭공구는 단일 코팅된 공구보다 우수한 내 마모성을 보였다

  • In this study, Machining fine shaft was examined by Lathe. method is proposed to control the thrust force to 0. through relationship between the cutting depth and the thrust force in turning, fine-shaft of less than 0.1mm diameter in turning is confirmed experimentally. also we propose practical expression to control thrust force in turning Through to change the approach angle, optimal tool design would be possible in turning.

마이크로흘 드릴링 머신의 개발 및 절삭성능 평가 (Development of Micro-hole Drilling Machine and Assessment of cutting Performance)

  • In this paper, drill fred mechanism, cutting depth measuring device and sensing buzzer of drill contact were investigated in order to develop the micro-hole drilling machine. Also, measuring device of cutting resistance was developed in order to estimate cutting resistance from change of cutting condition. The results show that extremely-low fled rate(less then $17{\mu}m/S$${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ /s) can be done and cutting depth can be measured by up to 1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ with developed drilling machine. Accordingly we could assemble a very cheap micro-hole drilling machine($\phi$ 0.05~0.5 mm). Also we got the some properties of cutting performance i.e. under the same condition, cutting torque decreases as increase of spindle speed and rapid fled of drill brings about the inferior cutting state under low spindle speed.

  • Hard facing overlay welding in high chromium carbide is a representative way of extending the fatigue life or recompensing damage, because workpiece surface is uniformly overlay-welded by alloy material. In general, grinding process is currently used for finish due to hardness of weld material. The development of tool material, such as PCBN, has made it possible to use turning instead of grinding. There are many advantages of hard Owning, as lower equipment costs, shorter setup time, fewer process steps, higher material removal rate, better surface integrity and the elimination of cutting fluid. In this paper, machining characteristics and cutting performance are examined to investigate turning possibility of overly welding in high chromium carbide.

런아웃을 고려한 엔드밀링의 절삭력 모델링 (Cutting Force Modelling in End-milling Considering Runout)

  • In this paper, a new end-milling force modelling technique was suggested by considering runout, and its result was compared with real measured force. The specific cutting force is the multiplication of cutting force coefficient and uncut chip thickness. This parameter was used for experimental modelling and prediction of theoretical force. These coefficients, which can be obtained by fitting measured average forces in several conditions, were used for the formulation of theoretical force. The mechanism of end-milling force with runout was developed in this research and its result was verified by comparing the fluctuating theoretical force and its measured one. The fluctuation of force was incurred by a geometric shape of workpiece and its runout in holding. The result of suggested force considering runout shows a good consistency with measured one. So this modelling method can be used effectively for a prediction of end-milling force with runout effect.

  • ThisPaper investigates the feasibility of using acoustic emission signal analysis for the detection of built-up edge during machining. Experiments were conducted on a CNC-lathe using conventional carbide insert tools under various cutting conditions. The cutting forces were also measured for comparisons. Experimental evidence is presented which indicates that the presence of a built-up edge can significantly affect the generation of acoustic emission in metal cutting. It is shown that under conditions in which a built-up edge is generated, the variation of $AE_{rms}$ signal with cutting speed can be quite different from the generally accepted linear, monotonic increase as previously reported. The feasibility of utilizing $AE_{rms}$ in built-up edge sensing is suggested.

  • 본 연구는 알루미나계 세라믹의 소결 다이아몬드 공구로 절삭시의 칩의 형태 와 절삭저항을 관찰하였다. 절삭 양식은 건식과 습식으로 하고, 여러 가지 적삭조건 에 따른 flank 마멸의 진행과정, 가공면의 표면거칠기에 미치는 영향 및 가공면의 크랙 상태를 조사형 현미경으로 확대 검출하여 가공상태를 정밀하게 조사, 측정하였 다.
