The Effects of Switching Cost Perceived by Patients and Negative Word of Mouth on Revisiting Intention for Hospital Patients (의료기관 이용자가 지각한 전환비용, 부정적 구전이 재이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of patient perception of the switching cost and negative word of mouth on revisit intention of patients in out-patient departments (OPDs) of general hospitals. Method: The participants were 306 patients in general hospital, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Spearman correlation coefficient, and logistic regression with SPSS Win. Results: Relational switching cost was positively correlated with revisit intention (r=.58, p=<.001), but not financial switching cost or procedural switching cost. Negative word of mouth was negatively correlated with revisit intention (r=-.22, p=<.001). The significant predictors influencing revisit intention in patients was relational switching cost. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that hospital and nursing managers should seek to bolster perceptions of switching costs and negative word of mouth, which subsequently increases revisit intentions in small hospitals located in the country as well as urban large hospitals.

  • This paper provides the foundation to settle the new paradigm in the beauty industry service quality by confirming the beauty industry service quality influence on customer satisfaction and loyalty through the actual verification. The scale of this study for measurement of beauty industry service quality is confirmed through the certification of reliability and feasibility with questionnaire investigation after confirmation of contents and preliminary feasibility. The dimensions and items for measurement of beauty industry service quality are selected with service ability(6), tangible(4), responsiveness(3), reliability(2), conveniency(2). And it is confirmed that the level of service quality is changing unlike a beauty-shop facility or cost recognized traditionally as a key factor to occupy the higher position in competition of beauty-shops. This thesis presents the important point of current issue about kinds of strategy which beauty industry should establish in providing the beauty industry service for occupying higher position in keen competition.

  • Since the early 2000s, the United States has applied TLCSM to reduce life cycle costs while maintaining the weapons system's combat readiness. With the application of TLCSM, the ILS concept centered on the acquisition stage shifted to IPS, a concept that manages life cycle costs throughout the entire life cycle. In addition, LSAR for developing ILS has switched to LPD for developing IPS. In this study, LSAR in Korea and LPD in the United States were compared and analyzed, and policies necessary for the introduction of LPD in Korea were proposed.

  • Various schemes of transportation demand management(TDM) to discourage the use of cars and enhance public transit performance have been implemented in large cities. Nevertheless, policy effects in reducing car have not been satisfactory. Car-dependent travelers who tend to keep driving cars regardless of the change of the trip circumstances as such increase of travel time and cost according to car use or improvement of public transit service may be due to not according to utility reflecting mode-specific impedance and their own socio-economic characteristics. In this study, travelers were classified into four groups by their choice frequency of private car and public transit in unspecified multiple trip(car-dependent, car-choice, public transit-choice, public transit-dependent class). And the characteristics of each group were comparative analyzed. The results show that the group of a higher car-dependent is a higher priority on convenience and comfortability of the car when making decisions and the group of a lower of car-dependent is likely to change to public transit.

The Current State of Foreign Transition to Open Access Journal Publishing in the Field of HSS (해외 인문사회과학 학술지 오픈액세스 전환 동향 연구)

  • This study analyzed recent cases of transition to open access(OA) journals in humanities and social sciences(HSS) in foreign countries to find a way to transition to OA journals in Korea. Ling OA and UP led by researchers, OLH and KU led by libraries, S2O led by publishers and L+F model led by funders and libraries were analyzed. Programs by national funding agencies such as the Norwegian Research Council, Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Austrian Science Fund, and Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences were also reviewed. Based on the results of the analyses, this study suggests for transition in Korean HSS field as follows; 1) transitions to open access journals in HSS should be supported at national level 2) the stakeholder in scholarly communications such as the nation, universities, libraries, research funders, scholarly societies etc has their own role in the transition but funders and libraries are the most important in financial support for open access publishing 3) but the financial support for the first stage of the transition should be done at national level 4) and open access journal publishing consortium comprised of libraries and information service institutions in the public sector such as KERIS, KISTI and the national library should be established 5) non commercial publishing platforms for scholarly societies should be developed and distributed.

  • The of this study was to establish a theoretical basis for relationship marketing exercised in the mB e-Marketplace and to empirically analyze causal relationship among e-CRM factor, together with quality and the performance of the customer relationship. The population sample of this study was the companies who had experience for using the B2B e-Marketplace, and a data analysis was made through y analysis, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis, utilizing statistical package of SPSS 18.0. The result of proving the are as follows; First, the e-CRM factors(e-Marketing, e-Service, e-Sales) of B2B e-Marketplace showed the positive influence on the customer relationship quality factor. the e-CRM factors of B2B e-Marketplace showed the positive influence on the customer relationship performance factor. Third, according to the test result on the relationship between quality factor and performance factor, customer relationship quality factor(satisfaction, trust) had positive effect on performance factor. Last, for the moderating effect of switching barrier in the customer relationship quality factor(satisfaction, trust) on the B2B e-Marketplace and its performance factor(reusing intention, long-term orientation) of maintaining the relation, the subordinate variables of switching barrier(alternative attraction, switching cost) showed the positive moderating effects.

RPS and FIT with Transaction Costs (수입중간재와 신재생에너지정책)

  • In 2012, Korea adopted RPS after having implemented FIT for 10 years since 2002. We show how the choice of policy between RPS and FIT affects firm's choice of intermediate goods between a domestic and a foreign supplier, given the presence of transaction costs, When transaction costs are not sufficiently high, RPS is found to create a favorable environment for the domestic provider, which has comparative disadvantage initially, to be able to enter the market and to catch up with the foreign provider. The result implies that the Korean government's decision to implement RPS was optimal, given Korea's comparative disadvantage in green energy relative to major developed countries.

  • 급속하게 변화하는 현대적 경영 환경속에서 Web 기반 정보기술은 시장에 용이한 접근을 제공하고, 상품의 차별화를 창출하며, 비용 효율성을 제고하고, 또한 너무 비용이 많이 들어 엄두를 내지 못할 정도의 전환 비용 때문에 동업자나 고객들 간의 의존성을 증가 시킴으로써 기업의 경쟁우위를 성취하는데 적극 활용되고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 그러나 기존 정보시스템의 전략적 활용에 관한 연구는 기업 내부 프로세스의 통합을 통한 경영력 제고에 치중되는 경향을 보여왔으며 협력사간의 조직간 정보교류를 위한 정보인프라의 구축과 같은 조직간 정보시스템의 전략적 활용에 관한 연구는 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는(1)포터91985)의 가치체인과 가치시스템 개념을 정보기술의 가치활동에서의 연계강도와 형태에 따라 분류하여 분석모형을 설정하고, (2) 경영전략의 운용과 혁신사이에서 다리를 놓아주는 학습도구로써 정보시스템 역할을 조직내 /외적인 정보 공유의 형태와 프로세스의 통합유형에 따라 정보시스템을 분류함으로써 (3) 각 부류에 속한 Web 기반 정보시스템의 전략적 의미를 사례연구를 통하여 재조명하는데 그 목적을 두었다.

  • 급격한 정보화 진행과 함께 계층, 소득, 지역간의 정보격차가 심화되고 있으며 정보소외계층에 대한 정보격차 문제가 점차 사회문제화 되고 있다. 따라서 정보화의 긍정적 효과를 극대화시키고 정보격차의 피해를 극소화시키는 정책이 요구된다. 이러한 정보격차를 최소화하기 위한 요건으로는, 모든 사람이 정보에 접근할 수 있도록 보편적 정보 서비스 확대, 인터넷 접속비용 및 재정지원을 통한 정보접근능력 강화, 교육 및 인식의 제고를 통한 정보이용능력 향상 등을 생각할 수 있다. 한편 정보격차를 해소하기 위해 필연적으로 소요되는 사회적 비용을 줄이면서 어떤 정책을 가장 효율적으로 결정하고 실행하는가 하는 것이 중요한 이슈일 것이다. 그러므로 이를 해결하기 위한 정책이슈로는 정보격차를 해소하기 위한 사회적 비용을 투자로 보는 인식의 전환, 정보격차를 해결하기 위한 민간의 적극적인 참여와 지원, 정보격차의 문제를 정확하게 인식하고 해결하기 위한 통계자료 확보 및 정책의 실효성을 높이기 위한 충분한 자금확보가 요구된다.
