오일확산 펌프를 이용한 10-9 Pa 영역의 초고진공 구현

  • 오일 증기의 제트를 분사하여 잔류가스를 배기하는 오일확산펌프는, 구조가 간단하여 고장이 적고 저렴하며 소음 및 전기노이즈가 적게 발생하는 많은 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 오일의 증기압에 의해 그 도달압력이 10-9 Torr 이상으로 제한되어, 액체질소로 냉각되는 배플형태의 저온 트랩을 사용하지 않는 한 10-10 Torr영역의 초고진공 배기용으로는 사용하지 못하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 유회전펌프로 뒷받침 배기(foreline pumping)하는 700l/s의 배기속도를 가진 오일확산펌프에 300 liter/sec의 컨덕턴스를 가진 액체질소 트랩을 부착하여 메탈 실링을 사용하는 초고진공 챔버를 배기하였다. 액체질소트랩에 액체질소를 투입하면 $1{\times}10-8Pa$이하의 초고진공이 얻어졌으나, 액체질소가 증발하여 트랩의 온도가 상온으로 상승하면 압력도 $1{\times}10-7Pa$ 이상으로 상승하였다. 50 liter/sec의 배기속도를 가진 터보분자펌프로 오일확산펌프를 뒷받침 배기하면 액체질소를 투입하지 않은 상태에서 $5{\times}10-9Pa$이하의 초고진공이 얻어졌으며, 액체질소를 투입하여도 압력은 거의 변화하지 않았다. 잔류가스분석장치로 얻은 잔류가스 성분 스펙트럼은 수소가 잔류가스의 대부분을 차지하는 것을 보여주었다.

Influence of Soybean Storage Condition on Soybean Curd Quality (대두(大豆) 저장조건(貯藏條件)이 두부품질(品質)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • Changes of proteins of whole soybean and soy flour stored under different conditions of humidity (RH 65% and 85%) and packing material (HDPE and OPP/Al/PE film) for 90 days and their influence on formation of soybean curd were investigated. The water holding capacity, total nitrogen, soluble nitrogen, pH and Amylograph viscosity of whole soybean and soy flour were rapidly decreased during storage at high relative humidity. Furthermore, such quality changes were accompanied by considerable differences in final quality of soybean curds; lower volumes of soybean curds. Under the conditions of HDPE and OPP/Al/PE film packing, smaller changes were observed in protein qualify than those without packing.

Relationship between some chemical components in the rice plants and varietal reaction to blast disease (도열병 품종저항성과 도체내 성분과의 관계)

  • An investigation was carried out to know the relationship between resistance of rice varieties to blast disease and the chemical components, especially total nitrogen and total sugars, in the rice plants. The results sic summarized as follow: 1) The nitrogen contents in the resistant variety were less than those of susceptible one, and sugar contents were reversed. Accordingly, the C/N ratio in the resistant variety was higher than that obtained by susceptible one. 2) The free amino acids contents, especially, Glutamine, Valine, Leusine and Iso-leusine, in the resistant varieties were more than those of the susceptible varieties. 3) The starch synthetic activity of rice leaves in the resistant varieties was higher than that of susceptible one in fructose and glucose solutions, but it was reversed in sucrose solution. 4) When more nitrogen was dressed, the total nitrogen content of rice leaves was increased than the ordinary dressing. The rate of increase in nitrogen content in resistant variety was lower than those of the susceptible. The total sugar content of rice plants dressed more nitrogen was decreased at early tillering stage, but increased at maximum tillering stage. It seemed that the rate of increase of total sugar in the resistant variety was higher than those of the susceptible.

Lodging Liability and Response to Paclobutrazol Application of High Eating Quality Japonica Rice Varieties (밥맛이 좋은 Japonica 벼 품종들의 도복저항성과 도복경감제 paclobutrazol에 대한 반응)

  • Most of the japonica rice varieties preferred for high eating quality are liable to lodging even under moderate rate of nitrogen application. This lodging liability has been a critical limit even for proper evaluation of physio-logical characteristics of those varieties exhibitable under higher nitrogen levels. Use of recent inhibitors of gibberellin biosynthesis such as ‘Pac1obutrazol’ may allow us to overcome this barrier. The responses of four high eating quality varieties to nitrogen application to the level of 150kg N per ha were evaluated with and without use of Paclobutrazol in comparison with a non-lodging, improved short japonica, Dongjin and a non-lodging, high yielding indica x japonica Milyang 23. The four were Damageum (the best eating quality in the 1930s), Nongrim 6 (the best in the 1960s), Chuchung (the best since 1970s), Koshihikari (the best in Japan since 1960s). As expected increased application of nitrogen increased plant height, length of the 3rd internode, and lodg-ing liability, being measured as culm breaking load, in all varieties tested and caused actual lodging in the fiel from the 50kg Nfha level in Damageum and Koshihikari and at the level of l50kg Nfha in Nongrim 6. Applica-tion of Pac1obutrazol (0.6%G) 15 days before heading reduced plant height, length of the 3rd internode and lodging liability being measured as culm breaking load in all varieties tested. However, the application of Pac1obutrazol during active tillering stage resulted in decreased culm breaking load in Damageum, Nongrim 6, and Koshihikari in spite of the decreased plant height and culm length as in the other varieties. Maximum yield was obtained with 100kg Nand 30kg Pac1obutrazol at 15 days before heading in Nongrim 6, 150kg N and 30kg Pac1obutrazol at 15 days before heading in Damageum, and 150kg N and 20kg Paclobutrazol at 20 days after transplanting plus 30kg Paclobutrazol at 15 days before heading in the variety Koshinhikari and Chuchung. Under a sensory evaluation of cooked rice, the four high eating quality varieties were not different in rank and Paclobutrazol treated rice was not distinguished from the untreated in eating quality.

  • 한국산 도롱뇽 (Hynobius leechi BOULENGER) 발생배의 질소화합물의 대사를 연구하고져 발생단계에 따른 단백질구성(아미노) 산의 촉진(아미노) 산의 정성적 분석과 질소 배설물(ammonia, urea, uric acid, creatine and/or creatinine, total nitrogen)의 정량분석을 미수정란, 란할배, 포배, 양배, 신경배 및 부화직전의 배에 대하여 행하였다. 1. 발생단계에 따른 발생배내 단백질구성 (아미노산)은 전 단계를 통하여 일양하게 18종씩 검출되어TRh 유리 (아미노산) 은 17 내지 23 종 검출되었으며, 전체적으로 유리(아미노산) 분포상에 큰 변화가 없었다. 2. 발생단계에 따른 질소배설물 분석의 결과는 다음과같다. Ammonia 와 urea 의 배내 함량은 미수정란에서부터 양배까지 점차 감소하여 양배 이후 부화직전배까지 급격히 증가한다. Uric acid의 함량은 전 단계를 통해 미소하였으며 creating and/or creatininie 은 본 실험에서는 검출되지 않았다. 3. 발생단계에 따른 발생배내 ammonia 함량에 대한 sodium azide의 영향은 농도에 따라 이원적인 특이성을 가지고 있었다.

Vegetation and Soil Properties of Corylopsis coreana Population in Korea (히어리(Corylopsis coreana) 개체군의 식생과 토양특성)

  • The study was conducted to analyze vegetation and soil characteristic of Corylopsis coreana population in Baekunsan of Gyeonggi-Do, Jirisan, Baekunsan, Jogaesan of Jeollanam-do, and Geumsan of Gyeongsangnamdo. Field research was from September 2005 to September 2006. According to classification with phytosociological method, the Corylopsis coreana population was classified into Tilia amurensis dominant population, Lindera erythrocarpa dominant population, and Pinus densiflora dominant population. According to CCA ordination, the Tilia amurensis dominant population were located in area of high elevation, and high concentration in total nitrogen, available phosphorous, and cation exchangeable capacity(CEC). The Pinus densiflora dominant population were located in area of low elevation, and low concentration in total nitrogen, available phosphorous, and cation exchangeable capacity. The Lindera erythrocarpa dominant population were located in area of high elevation, and medium concentration in total nitrogen, available phosphorous, and cation exchangeable capacity.

Vegetation Structures and Ecological Properties of Sterwartia koreana Community (노각나무(Stewartia koreana)군락의 식생구조와 생태특성)

  • This study was carried out to analyze vegetation and soil characteristic, and ordination of Stewartia koreana community. The Stewartia koreana community was classified into Acer mono subcommunity, Pinus densiflora subcommunity, Sapium japonicum subcommunity, and Stewartia koreana typical subcommunity. In the study sites, soil organic matter, nitrogen, available phosphorous, exchangeable K, exchangeable Ca, exchangeable Mg concentration, cation exchange capacity, and soil pH were ranged from 14.31~34.27%, 0.33~0.77%, 7.83~22.88(mg/kg), 0.23~1.07(me/100 g), 0.29~2.93(me/100 g), 0.33~1.49(me/100 g), 10.47~22.48(me/100 g), and 4.65~4.96, respectively. The area of the Acer mono subcommunity, found in highlands, showed that contained the highest organic substances, nitrogen, available phosphorous, and cation exchangeable capacity concentration among the communities. The low elevation regions where the Pinus densiflor subcommunity is formed, showed the lowest concentrations of exchangeable Ca, and Mg.

Soil Characteristics by the Site Types around Nari Basin in Ulleung Island (울릉도 나리분지의 입지유형별 토양특성)

  • Soil characteristics by site types (slope, topography and stand) were analyzed to provide the basic information for sustainable management of Nari basin in Ulleung Island. The content of total N of Nari basin was lowest at the north slope, this site had also significantly low soil pH and content of available P. The result of soil pH and content of total N analysis by topography, ranged from 5.13 of summit to 5.59 of plain and from 0.63% of plain to 0.87% of hill, respectively. Soil pH, content of total N and available P by stand were significantly different, which showed that stand types are more significant in explaining the soil properties. Available P content by slope, topography and stand ranged from 2.79 to 8.46 ppm, 3.99 to 8.46 ppm and 5.03 to 11.59 ppm, respectively. It was concluded that forest soil around Nari basin has relatively low available P content compared to other forest soil.

Nano-electrotribology 분석을 중심으로 표면 stress 분석에 의한 HfN 박막의 질소효과 연구

  • 이 연구는 nano-indenter를 중심으로 박막의 nano-electrotribology 분석 연구로 Hafnium Nitride (HfN) 박막의 열처리 시 열적안정성에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. HfN 박막은 Copper (Cu)와 Silicon (Si)의 계면 확산방지막으로 사용될 수 있는 박막으로 현재 많은 연구소에서 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. HfN 박막은 Si (100)기판 위에 rf magnetron sputter로 증착되었다. 증착 시 Ar, $N_2$ 가스유량을 총 40 sccm 사용하였고 증착 후 HfN 박막을 질소분위기 furnace에서 500, $700^{\circ}C$로 각각 30분 동안 열처리 하였다. 열처리 전 후의 시료를 nano-indenter를 이용하여 nano-electrotribology 분석을 실시하였다. Nano-indenter 측정결과 열처리 전 HfN 박막 시료의 표면강도는 39.68 GPa였고 500oC 열처리 후 31.31 GPa로 감소하였다. 그러나 $700^{\circ}C$ 열처리 시 표면강도가 37.89 GPa로 다시 증가하였다. 탄성계수 측정결과도 이와 같은 경향을 나타내었는데, $500^{\circ}C$ 열처리 전 후 탄성계수가 258.99 GPa에서 201.88 GPa로 감소하였고 $700^{\circ}C$ 열처리 시 247.55 GPa로 다시 증가하였다. 이는 $500^{\circ}C$ 열처리하였을 때 박막 내에 흡착되었던 $N_2$ 가스가 빠져나가며 tensile stress가 발생하여 박막의 표면강도 감소를 유발했고 $700^{\circ}C$ 열처리 시 다시 박막 표면이 안정화되었기 때문으로 생각된다. 이를 통해 열처리 온도 변화에 의한 질소효과가 나타나 HfN 박막 표면의 물성이 달라지는 것을 확인하였다.

Soil Nitrogen Dynamics in Two Black Locust Stands Established on Volcano Mt. Showa-Shinzan, Northern Japan (일본(日本) 북부(北部)의 소화신산(昭和新山)의 분화후(噴火後)에 성립(成立)한 두 아카시아나무 임분(林分)의 토양중(土壤中) 질소동태(窒素動態))

  • To clarify the soil N dynamics, the relationship between soil N and vegetation recovery after volcanic eruptions was investigated in two stands dominated by black locust(Robinia pseudo-acacia L.) on volcano Mt. Showa-Shinzan, northern Japan, from August 1999 to July 1996. No significant differences were observed between the two stands with respect to soil chemical properties and soil extractable N. At both stands, total N concentration were high in spring and declined through the summer and fall. The peaks in concentrations of extractable $NH_4{^+}$ and $NO_3{^-}$ occurred in July at both stands. $NH_4{^+}$ mineralization showed a conspicuous peak in June and July throughout the study period. Extractable $NO_3{^-}$ concentration and nitrification rates at the two stands during the study period were relatively high. Negative values for $NH_4{^+}$ mineralization at both stands were found in August. Extractable $NH_4{^+}$ and $NO_3{^-}$ concentrations were correlated positively with soil organic matter, and nitrification rates were controlled by $NH_4{^+}$ mineralization and extractable $NH_4{^+}$ concentration at both stands.
