With the perspective of information management, on-going monitoring of the specified service function is one of the major activities and even critical process. The research consisted of three empirical research questions such as, the current usage and overall user-satisfaction, the quality of the R&D information content and the service, and the problems which have been observed by the actual user group of National Digital Science Library (NDSL). The results of the investigation provided several guidelines that can be utilized for the improvements of the R&D information user service as well as some recommendations for overall optimal administration.

This study aims to evaluate the usability for improving quality of Hoseo university digital library website. Compatibility of web browser and loading speed are analyzed in using Doctor HTML and Web Site Garage, and seven major attributes of website. that is navigation, functionality, user control language and contents. system and user feedback, consistency, architectural and visual clarify, are analyzed and evaluated in using online questionnaire method. Finally this paper was suggested some problems and improvements of that website mentioned above, and general guidelines of website construction based on usability in university digital library in korea.

Recent developments and integration of IT are expanding the possibility of various instructional learning methods in education environments. Contemporary learning theory such as open education, self-directed learning, student's centered learning describes the students as an active and engaged information user and underscores the importance of information literacy. Therefore, school library today focus on the process of learning-teaching process rather than dissemination information, and emphasized the focus of the school electronic library as information center. The purpose of this study is examined physical components of School Electronic Library, design a model of information system and suggests a strategy for implementing teaching-learning process support services based on school electronic library and information system.

Since the paradigm of records and archives management has been shifted toward the digital records world, information science, which is related to electronic record information's creation, management, preservation, and usage, has became increasingly significant. In the context, this article studies a research trend of information science in the records and archives management field. For the study, 99 concerned articles from five academic journals published between 2000 and 2008 are analyzed. As a result, the article finds out several research trends in this field, including researchers' preferred research subjects.

Bibliographic metadata can help researchers effectively utilize essential publications that they need and grasp academic trends of their own fields. With the manual creation of the metadata costly and time-consuming. it is nontrivial to effectively automatize the metadata construction using rule-based methods due to the immoderate variety of the article forms and styles according to publishers and academic societies. Therefore, this study proposes a two-step extraction process based on rules and deep neural networks for generating bibliographic metadata of scientific articlles to overcome the difficulties above. The extraction target areas in articles were identified by using a deep neural network-based model, and then the details in the areas were analyzed and sub-divided into relevant metadata elements. IThe proposed model also includes a model for generating reference summary information, which is able to separate the end of the text and the starting point of a reference, and to extract individual references by essential rule set, and to identify all the bibliographic items in each reference by a deep neural network. In addition, in order to confirm the possibility of a model that generates the bibliographic information of academic papers without pre- and post-processing, we conducted an in-depth comparative experiment with various settings and configurations. As a result of the experiment, the method proposed in this paper showed higher performance.

CrossRef operates a cross-publisher citation linking system based on the DOI(R) global identifier. The number of organization building a reference citations linking structure through CrossRef is increasing. This paper concentrates on developing a Citation Matcher Solution to effectively build the reference linking structure. Citation Matcher automatically builds and processes the reference citation and identifier mapping which used to be handled manually. After the copy & paste of the reference citation, analyzation is processed to parse the journal title, author name, volume, issue, and start pages from the free style text. CrossRef, PubMed, and YesKISTI's identifiers are collected by through a standardized method. Renovation of the building process for domestic scholastic resources' reference linking and matching will be made possible by using a Citation Matcher. The connection between resources and seamless access for the electronic full-text will enhance the usability.

본 연구의 목적은 중국 연변조선족자치구에 현존하는 각종 유형의 도서관문헌 정보사업 현황과 문제점을 밝히는데 있다. 본 연구의 의의는 공개된 자료가 미미하고 정형화된 자료가 부족한 상황에서 실태조사를 병행하여 상세한 정보를 제공한 점이다. 도서관의 현대화작업은 90 년대 후반기부터 컴퓨터를 도입하여 전개되기 시작하였고, 연변과학기술대학도서관의 경우는 현대화된 시설을 갖추고 한국의 선진 도서관리 방법을 도입하여 도서관을 운영하고 있으나, 기타 도서관들은 부분적으로 전자 연람실을 구축하여 서비스하고 있다. 그러나 현재 조선족자치주 대부분의 도서관들은 자금부족으로 현대화된 도서관을 구축하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 앞으로 지도층에서의 중점사업으로의 추진과 서부대개발사업의 우대정책을 통해 자금 확보를 도모하여 도서관의 현대화 건설의 추진을 기해야 할 것이다.

Although it is about a decade since public libraries started to provide digital information services, lack of expertise for efficient service operation and restrictions related to copyrights have led to failure to obtain remarkable performances in uses. This study intends to analyze operation cases of domestic and overseas collaborative digital information services, as well as the current status of digital information services of libraries in Gyeonggido, thereby developing a collaborative digital information service model among public libraries on the level of local governments. This research then analyzed collaborative digital information service Web sites and surveys. Based on the analysis result, this study presented support of integrated search of possessed electronic information, Web database (DB), DB on original texts of regional records, online reference services, and mobile platforms as functional factors to embody a successful service model. As a system management road map, an eclectic model combining the merits of centralized and decentralized models was found to be more effective than a centralized or decentralized model in consideration of the characteristics of participating organizations.

The purpose of this article is to present comparative analysis of electronic information purchase in Korean university libraries relative to university libraries overseas. An overall comparison is made between libraries in Korea and in the U.S. in terms of their budget for electronic information. In addition, we compared the lists of web databases in service among three top-tier Korean universities and nine foreign universities(6 in the U.S., 1 in Canada, 1 in Australia, and 1 in China). The findings show that Korean universities tend to subscribe heavily to electronic journals packages than competing libraries overseas. However, in terms of providing subject-based reference databases, our libraries are far behind even mediocre institutions in these countries. We propose a number of recommendations to strengthen national licensing of electronic scholarly materials as a way to enhance access to electronic information through university libraries.

This study aims at analyzing the research trend in Electricity, Electronics, and Communication Subject since 1973, which is the beginning year in research in Electricity, Electronics, and Communication Subjects, up to the present year of 2010. We also try to provide explicit directions and suggestions for future researches. A total of 98 studies, including master's and doctoral theses, were collected through RISS(Research Information Sharing Service), KISS(Koreanstudies Information Service System), and DBPIA(special database for domestic research information). Three researchers reviewed them using analytic method. The results were as follows. Of the researches analyzed, 2 studies(2.04%) were in 1970's. The researches in Electricity, Electronics, and Communication Subjects were not actively performed until 1996. Since then, 92.86% of total studies have been done so far and the number of research activities in these subjects are shown to be continuously growing. 50 studies were related with Curriculum and instruction area. Design/Development of Instruction Material area was the most popular topic, and Education Assessment area the least. Research design was mainly descriptive, and studies in academic journals were more than the dissertations. Research mostly focused on the students and the teachers as subjects. University was the main research agency where studies were carried out.
