  • This study intends to analyze the various spatial structures of the Seoul city museum with reference to the layouts and the qualitative mode of exhibition items. Understanding the way of actual exhibition design can be a clue to understand the contents of exhibition story which guarantees to make the pertinent space and visitors route organization between different levels of architectural space and exhibition space. The basic methodological ideas of this study are as follows; 1) Systematic analysis about the characteristics of exhibits, historic context, and hierachy of each thematic zone. 2) Analysis of physical combination of object spatial cell in the view of visitors circulatiov.   • 기록관이 운영하는 전시관으로 역사적 평가는 지양하고 객관적 기록물을 통해 대통령에 대한 역사적 사실을 있는 그대로 보여주는 전시가 이루어지도록 해야 한다. 전시분위기는 역사에 대한 기록물의 증거적 가치를 부각하기 위해 엄숙함을 유지하되, 관람객이 편안히 찾아올 수 있는 재미요소 포함해야 한다. 관람인원에 대해서는 360명 동시 수용이 가능하도록하며, 주말이벤트 운영, 기증자 명예의 전당 등을 고려해서 수용인원을 한정하여 운영하는 것도 하나의 방안이 될 듯하다. 본 연구에서는 색채계획과 사인계획 중심의 이미지 통합계획을 수립 제시하여 보았다. 실제 이미지 통합계획은 심볼과 로고에서 시작하여 기본디자인과 응용디자인체계를 통한 통합적이고 체계적인 시스템을 통해서 이루어진다는 측면에서 아쉬움이 많은 사례제시 연구이지만 현장 연출에 필요한 실용측면에서 보면 나름 의미 있는 연구라고 사료된다.

  • The purpose of this research is to develop subject of up-to-date scientific technology, according with science museum, and to deviate from the old style, simply-seeing display, and the passive display which simply support narrative styles by one-way action. In addition, for motivating audience to take part in the display, this study is to analyze displaying technique, key marks of an exhibit and then to create the way which science museum should follow in order to plan interactive scenario and display technique. By analysis and consideration of museums, which I took for a sample, this study will work out display scenario, based on interactive concept, and experience display technique. Moreover, this study will suggest alternatives and basis in order to develop display technique of up-to-date science in science museum.

  • The core of character and concept in an exhibition space of contemporary museum is that the place for relics and materials changes into the place for spectators, the static exhibition place changes into the dynamic exhibition place, and the place for learning naturally during amusement. In other words, it could convey the conceptual exhibition object which is not the material object called a relic, it could be a place where is to investigate, participate, experience and enjoy with easily method to general public, and ordinary people are supposed to experience with integrative the world of intellectual, cultural and artistic which is inconcionsly rising a dimensiov. In order to response positively the change of these exhibition concept itself, exhibition system will be established through the analysis of realistic exhibition objects with the visulatization of theme or thought of an exhibitiov. In process of conveying image, the effective and concrete exhibition method and technique should be measured in order to realize the communication between spectators and exhibition objects. The purpose of this study is to find the methodology which is enable to establish the exhibition theme and presentation system through the selection and analysis of exhibition objects in major cases of a musem of ecience and engneering, to find the process model till the methodology applies to the space scheme, and to find finally the designed indicators which is applicable to the progress of exhibition desigv.

자연과학계박물관의 전시내용구성체계와 공간구조 상관성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between System of Exhibition Contents and Structure of Exhibition Space in Nature & Science Museums)

  • This study aims to understand the correlation between system of exhibition contents and structure of exhibition space in nature and science museums. So, in this paper it deals with 10 examples of overseas nature and science museums as analytical objects, using Space Syntax as an analytical tool. In conclusion, the system of exhibition contents of nature & science museums can be divided into field and theme, and subdivided into total 6 systems according to categorization and integration. The system of exhibition contents by field is generally characterized by unconstricted access and system of exhibition contents by theme is generally marked by high visual openness. And the system of exhibition content according to categorization is characterized by strong concentration on exhibitory convex and its wide distribution.

  • 과거의 기업은 소비자의 욕구에 맞는 신기술, 신제품 생산에 주력을 해왔다. 그러나 오늘날과 같은 고도의 정보화시대의 기술은 더 이상 기업 간의 차별성을 나타내지 못하게 되었다. 이러한 사회환경 속에서 기업은 타 기업과의 차별화 된 기업 운영을 위하여 소비자에게 자신들만의 이미지를 강하게 표현하지 않으면 안 된다. 이처럼 차별화 된 기업이미지를 만들기 위한 노력의 일환으로 인쇄매체, 전파매체를 통한 일방적인 커뮤니케이션에서 벗어나 상호 교환적 커뮤니케이션 방식인 직접적인 만남의 공간 즉, 전시ㆍ홍보관이야 말로 이미지 차별화를 강화시킨다. 그러므로 전시ㆍ홍보관에 나타난 디자인 전략요소에 관한 체계적인 연구의 필요성을 느낀다. 먼저 문헌조사를 통해 개념을 확고히 하며, 전시 구성요소를 바탕으로 삼성, 엘지전자의 전시ㆍ홍보관을 중심으로 조사하여 사례를 비교분석 한다. 본 연구에서는 기업의 전시ㆍ홍보관을 디자인 할 경우 기업의 경영이념 및 철학, 비전을 알고 디자인계획을 세움으로 해서 기업 아이덴티티를 효과적으로 전달 할 수 있다. 그 결과 기업이미지 디자인 전략요소를 체계적으로 관리함으로서 보다 합리적이고, 과학적으로 기업의 새로운 목적을 달성할 수 있는 중요성에 대하여 인식하게 한다.

  • Although natural and science museum project is being promoted, performance of research that can be recommended for exhibition space plan is not sufficient. Nature and science museum is the space of participation type so structure and type of space depends on the content of exhibition. Therefore, this paper is the gradational research to understand correlation and characteristic and give direction for exhibition space plan suitable for system of exhibition content through analyzing system of exhibition content and structure of exhibition space. Further, prepare basic material for exhibition space of nature and science museum being newly planned or renovated through understanding structure of exhibition space according to exhibition scenario.

미디어아트의 정량적 평가체계에 대한 연구 (Framework for the Quantitative Evaluation of Media Arts)

  • 예술작품의 평가는 작품의 제작과 감상자체가 매우 정성적인 가치관을 기반으로 한다는 전제아래 객관적으로 수치화 하려는 노력을 찾아보기 어려웠다. 이에 1960년대 말 이후로 후기 모더니즘적 사조 내에서 급격히 증가하는 미디어아트를 중심으로 기존의 예술평가의 핵심이 되었던 감상자의 주관적 의견을 최대한 반영할 수 있으며 동시에 미디어아트에 포함되는 기계적, 제품적 측면도 동시에 검토할 수 있는 정량적 평가체계의 구축을 시도하였다. 이에 따라 제시되는 평가체계의 항목에는 매체평가, 작품평가, 감상평가, 상품평가, 전시평가를 포함하였으며 관람자의 미디어아트에 대한 경험수준에 따라 일반감상자, 미디어아트 전문가 그리고 전시관련 업종 종사자, 즉 전시기획자로 분류하여 평가를 실행하도록 하였다. FGD를 거쳐 평가자에 따라, 그리고 평가항목에 따라 가중치를 적용하여 작품에 대한 객관적인 비평과 주관적 선호도를 적절하게 적용하는 평가체계가 되도록 수정하였다.

  • At present, the Korean display industry lacks significantly in qualitative achievements when compared to quantitative achievements. Of course, there are various systems established according to the developments of display design organizing methods, production, and installing methods through some preceding studies related to display, but it is true that the wholistic management through display business management process which is prerequisite for this field is now considered yet. This has led to consistent and repetitive limitations, although many have undergone numerous trials and errors, along with related conflicts during implementing display business. Accordingly, organizing process and system for display business management field is the most field to be studied in order to not follow suit of the existing problems and look back on the failure factors of past display business. This study is focused on studying stage-to-stage research on organizing process and system for display business management, and aims to provide basic information for a more efficient management which can be realized during future business implementation for display culture facilities. The followings are the conclusions for this study. First, in order to successfully implement display business, the role of display business management is crucial, and the related need for display business management operations was proved. Second, the viability of 'Check-List for examining displaying product designs, production and installment' was verified, along with suggestions for additional factors to be considered in the examining check-list. Finally, third, the analyzing process of this study is focused on analyzing the facilities according to justifiable analysis factors. However, there are limitations such as corning up with subjective facts which can be known through naked eyes. Thus, the necessity for additional researches which can supplement the limitations of this study was found.

박물관 관람경험의 특성과 시대적 의미에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Experiential Characteristics of Museum Visit and Its Periodical Implications)

  • This thesis is focused on the visitors varied experiences of the current museum architecture. The current trend and periodical development of visitors experiences are discussed by analyzing the factors such as the external symbol scheme, the exhibition space scheme, and the visitors circulation scheme which are involved with a visitors experience and thus classifying the experiences related to each sample museum. Examining and providing logical descriptions on each of the schemes helps comprehend the visitors varied experiences. This research, which deals with thoroughly understanding a museum as an architecture followed by taking visitors experiences into account, is aimed to contribute to improving visitors experiences in the course of designing a museum. The above-mentioned types of combination applied to each museum chosen for the research help understand the following : National museums show predominance of specific visitors experiences. As for the external symbol scheme, most of national museums have adopted the temple type, whereas international museums have equally adopted with the temple type and the showroom type which are characterized by its dedication to function and being in balance between contents and formalities.
