Design of Scheduling Superframe based on IEEE 802.15.4 MAC using LQI (LQI를 이용한 IEEE 802.15.4 MAC 기반의 스케줄링 슈퍼프레임 설계)

  • This paper proposes an improved superframe structure with one : N situation of the network as a target for efficiency battery and communication performance used in the existing standard IEEE 702.15.4 MAC layer. The proposed superframe transforms and adds a two structures. First, we add the proposed scheduling interval after the arrival of the beacon. Second, we change to a structure in which one of the contention access period is divided into two. The contention access period and the contention-free access period of active portion are divided according to the LQI value of the device. Through this system-level simulation written by $c{^+^+}$, as a results show that the battery consumption and transmission performance has been increased.

  • We propose a cell-multiplexing scheme for the real-time communication service in ATM network and a new service discipline guarantee end-to-end delay based on pseudo-isochronous cell switching. The proposed scheme consists of two level frame hierarchy, upper and lower frame, which is used to assign the bandwidth and to guarantee the requested delay bound, respectively. Since the Proposed algorithm employs two level frame hierarchy, it can overcome the coupling problem which is inherent to the framing strategy It can be comparatively reduce the complexity, and still guarantee the diverse delay bounds of end-to-end. Besides, it consists of two components, traffic controller and scheduller, as the imput traffic description model and regulates the input traffic specification. The function of the traffic controller is to shape real -time traffic to have the same input pattern at every switch along the path. The end-to-end delay is bounded by the scheduller which can limit the delay variation without using per-session jitter controllers, and therefore it can decrease the required buffer size. The proposed algorithm can support the QoS's of non-real time traffic as well as those of real time traffic.

  • In this paper, we propose a delay reduction method for frame-based packet transmit scheduling algorithm. A high-speed network such as ATM network has to provide some performance guarantees such as bandwidth and delay bound. Framing strategy naturally guarantees bandwidth and enables simple rate-control while having the inherently bad delay characteristics. The proposed delay reduction method uses the same hierarchical frame structure as HRR (Hierarchical Round-Robin) but does not use the static priority scheme such as round-robin. Instead, we use a dynamic priority change scheme so that the delay unfairness between wide bandwidth connection and narrow bandwidth connection can be eliminated. That is, we use FIFO (First-In First-Out) concept to effectively reduce the occurrence of worst-case delay and to enhance delay distribution. We compare the performance for the proposed algorithm with that of HRR. The analytic and simulation results show that HFIFO inherits almost all merits of HRR with fairly better delay characteristics.

  • Typical integrated service digital network(ISDN) switching systems have several shortcomings including cumulated long call set-up delay and difficulty in higher speed packet communication. The problems come from the nature of X.25 packet swiching technique used in the systems. In this thesis, to solve the above problems, the use of frame relay service within the TDX-10 ISDN switching system is proposed and a frame handling susbsystem(FHS) is designed in order to support the high speed frame relay service in the TDX-10 switching systems. In the proposed TDX-10 architecture, the 64 Kbps packet communication can be executed more ef- ficiently and high speed packet communication is allowed. To measure theperformance characteristics of the proposed systemand to compare the performance with that of the proposed system is superior to that of the existion system and to compare the performance with that of the proposed system is superior to that of the existing system. The proposed switching system offers a seamless evolutionalry path from Narrowband-ISDNto Broadband-ISDNsince itallows anefficient channelutilization and speed packet communication.

  • 최근 서비스 지향 아키텍처를 적용한 많은 시스템들이 개발되어 왔고 그에 따라 서비스 지향 아키텍처에 대한 관심도 증가하고 있다. 하지만 여태껏 연구되어왔던 주제들은 전체 아키텍처의 효율적인 구성 및 개발 프로세스 구축에 초점을 맞춘 반면, 데이터 프레임워크를 보다 효율적으로 비즈니스 프레임워크와 분리하는 데 초점을 맞춘 연구는 부족하다. 이에 우리는 실 서비스되고 있는 대용량 서버 관리 서비스를 서비스 지향 아키텍처로 전환하고 그 중 데이터 프레임워크를 보다 추상화시키고 비즈니스 프레임워크와 느슨한 결합을 이룰 수 있도록 하는 연구를 진행하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 데이터 프레임워크는 실시간 데이터 전송에 유리한 트리 구조의 데이터를 사용자가 정의한 규칙을 기반으로 비즈니스 프레임워크의 다양한 비즈니스 로직에서 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 다양한 형태의 데이터로 바꿀 수 있는 계층을 제공한다. 또한 이러한 계층에 대해 실 서비스에서 활용할 수 있는 정의된 제약조건 하에서 실험을 진행하였고 그 결과 만족스러운 성능을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

Frame Distribution Methods for Link Aggregation between 10GbE Switches (10GbE 스위치간 링크 집합을 위한 프레임 분배방식)

  • The link aggregation between 10GbE switches requires an advanced frame distribution method to be properly and efficiently applied. The fixed or dynamic frame distribution methods, formerly proposed, cannot fully utilize the aggregated links, where the receiving terminal only attaches to a pre-specified link among multiple physical links. A frame distribution method using tagging is proposed for the link aggregation between 10GbE switches to solve this problem. We compared the performance of the proposed method with those of the fixed and dynamic frame distribution methods. As a result, the proposed method shows a better performance when the applied load is below 0.7 and the average length of the frames is longer than 954 bytes.

A Study on the Design of the Terminal Repeater System for 565 Mb/s Optical Fiber Transmission (565 Mb/s 광전송용 단국중계장치 설계에 관한 연구)

  • On assuming that the transmission speed of the original information is the fifth-order transmission speed of the Korea digital multiplex hierarchy (564.992Mb/s), this paper proposes a new structure of the transmission line frame at the terminal repeater system, in order to not only maintain and conserve 565Mb/s optical fiber transmission system but also make the B.S.I. of digital communication network for the optical transmission. And the structure uses the mBIZ transmission line code, which is considered the optimal transmission line code of conventional transmission line codes. System hardware of the transmission line frame structure proposed in this paper is consisted by a method of pulse stuffing after converting the speed of the original information signal sequence at the terminal repeater system for 565Mb/s optical transmission. As a result of this, we can prevent the optical transmission system from a domino phenomenon, the phenomenon of the continuous error multiplication of systems by the transmission error, and suppress timing jitter and the identical consecutive digit number. And also we can improve SNR of the optical transmission system about 2dB because of raising total BER at the optical terminal system up to 10.

  • The World Wide Web provides new opportunities for cyber education over the Internet. The web, when combined with other network tools, can be used to provide useful educational information to learners. Thus, the objective of this paper is to develop Java applet for understanding the concept of Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) on the Internet. The developed Java Applet is composed of four frames: fuzzifier, rulebase, inference engine and defuzzifier. Since data transmission can be achieved from one frame to other frames, users can easily observe and understand the process of FLC. The results of this paper can be used to improve the efficiency of lectures in the cyber university.

  • Most policies of VOD services are mainly studied about server system, and make no touch on clients buffer stabilization which is the basis of guaranteeing playback quality and playing without cut off. In this paper, we proposed a skipping frame transfer policy that can sending dynamic buffer control signal to server in accordance with clients buffer state of starvation or overrun, and server transfers a skipped frame to client after receive the control signal. And through a simulation, we show the suggested policy is more efficiency on playback quality by buffer stabilization which is by preventing loss and miss for receiving frame due to grow worse client buffer state.
