In this paper, a baseband module of the spread spectrum system with FPGA is designed. A spread spectrum system spreads the signal bandwidth necessary for information transmission. We focused on the design of FEC decoder, especially the convolutional code fo constraint length K=3, rate R=l/2, is designed. For the VHDL design the Xilinx Foundation 3.1 is used. As results, a spread spectrum modem with convolutional coding is designed and we have plan to apply this modem to short distances wireless communication.

This paper is to develop an integrated LAN unit (hereinafter called ILU) which connects the transformed signals from on-board equipments with the information display unit and vice versa. In developing the ILU, the topology, transfer mode, and protocol was inspected considering the structure and characteristics of a related ship. The principle of development was determined type. Finally the ILU appropriate for the ship's characteristics was designed and developed.

셀룰러 시스템에서 셀 음영지역에 위치 한 단말의 테이터 전송률을 향상 시키기 위해 Client-Relay 기법이 제안었되다. 본 논문에서는 Client-Relay 기법을 사용하는 환경에서 의뢰단말의 파일릿 신호를 이용하여 후보 중계단말 사이의 데이 터 전송률을 측정하고 이를 기반으로 최적의 의뢰단말과 중계단말의 페어를 선택하는 기법을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 방식이 셀 음영지역에 위치한 단말의 데이터 전송률을 향상시킴을 확인하였다.

고성능 네트워크를 기반으로 하는 과학응용 협업연구 환경에서 대용량 데이터의 고속 전송을 위해 활용되고 있는 전용의 데이터 전송 노드는 이용률을 감안하여 연산을 위한 부수적인 목적을 위해 활용이 가능하다 본. 논문에서는 이러한 분산된 데이터 전송 노드들을 활용한 컨테이너 기반 협업연구 플랫폼의 구성 사례를 소개하고 해당 플랫폼 상에서 분산 학습을 실험하고 소요시간 측면에서 성능을 측정하여 제시한다.

인공위성을 이용한 실시간 차량정보 전송장치는 정지궤도 위성을 이용하여 차량 정보 및 위치정보를 위성 영상 데이터를 이용하여 실 시간 전송 및 분석하는 시스템이다. 저궤도 관측 위성을 통하여 기 확보된 영상데이터 및 그 동안의 위성 기술 개발 과정에서 습득된 HW/SW 기술 및 GPS 처리 기술을 이용하여 개발 되었으며 향후 물류 및 관련 등 산업 전반에 많은 파급효과가 있을 것으로 기대된다.

High Altitude Platform network systems utilize Unmanned Aerial Vehicle as routers for ground node communication. For this purpose, geographical clustering of ground nodes must be required. In this paper, we assume mobile ground nodes over wide area and the clusters composed of ground nodes are identified. UAVs can be positioned at the point of centroid of clusters. The number of UAVs are derived from the area size and the number of ground nodes deployed in that area. From the simulation and application of clustering algorithms, we showed visual clustering results with dynamic variance of number of ground nodes.

This paper presents an interactive progressive image transmission method, which enables a remote user to interactively select and transmit preferred regions from an index image. Our enhanced quadtree decomposition using PSNR-based rules and new implicit quadtree coding provide better rate-distortion performance than previous quadtree coders as well as leading bit plane methods. An adaptive traversal of child nodes is introduced for better visual display of restored images. Depth-first traversal combined with breadth-first traversal of the quadtree to accomplish interactive transmission as presented, results in a method that provides competitive performance at a low level of computational complexity. Moreover, our decoding requires only simple arithmetic which is enabling our method to be used for real-time mobile applications.

Currently, the communication systems are progressing two ways as the wireless and multimedia and these need big transmission capacity then before. In these circumstance, communication services existed as two different service forms which have different rates and characteristics. For example Voice/Video Services accept some errors but transmit on realtime, but Date Services don't need to transmit on realtime but have to retransmit if these have only one bit error. In Voice/Date Integrated traffics, it has big throughput that realtime voice/video data which could have some errors if integrated traffic is increased rapidly have transmission priority, then Data traffics which delay is accepted is sent after that. In this paper, I introduce the calculation method for various traffic when voice/data mixed traffics is transmitted to asynchronous unslotted ALOHA CDMA system proposed and the result is presented. And We can easily theoretical analysis for the system traffic and changing traffic using proposed solution in this paper.

The purpose of the study was to present basic data of curriculum of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and to propose improved directions. To research clinical PACS education needs, radiological technologist who related on PACS was surveyed in 12 (55%) of capital area, 6 (27%) of middle area and 4 (18%) of southern area of Korea and for the medical institutes, 8 (36%) of over 1000 beds, 10 (45%) of 500 to 1000 beds and 4 (19%) of less 500 beds. And, to research the status of university education the survey was conducted in 6 of capital area, 6 of middle area and 6 of southern area. As a result, 95.5% of respondents in radiological technologist group thought that giving precede education for PACS and enlarging state-exam would be necessary. In university group, 78% of respondents answered that PACS was equipped and, 82% of them answered that it is very important to study PACS as major. Many universities, however, did not standardize major title and contents so a study about them needs to be followed up.
