Purpose: This study aimed to develop a multicultural education program that includes contact with persons from multiple cultures and to report on the program's effects on intercultural communication competence and nursing professionalism. Methods: A multicultural education program that included contact with persons from multiple cultures was developed, and a quasi-experimental study was performed using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The experimental group comprised 32 participants, and the control group comprised 26 participants. An online survey was conducted before and immediately after the intervention to collect data. Results: The experimental and control groups' mean scores for intercultural communication competence before the intervention were 3.67 and 3.84, respectively, while their mean scores for nursing professionalism were 3.87 and 3.69, respectively. After the intervention, both the intercultural communication competence score and the nursing professionalism score improved to 4.02 in the experimental group. The study demonstrated significant improvement in intercultural communication competence and nursing professionalism after the multicultural education program was conducted. Conclusion: The study's results demonstrate the need to develop a multicultural education program including contact and communication with persons from multiple cultures, such as international students, women who immigrated for marriage, immigrant workers, and multicultural families.

Purpose: This study aimed to assess the factors influencing the political participation of nursing students who, as they become future leaders in the nursing field, will need to increase their participation in health policy decisions. Methods: Data were collected using web-based questionnaires answered by 157 nursing students between March 13 and 27, 2023. Those data were analyzed using t-test, a one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and a multiple linear regression. Results: The average score of political participation was 2.77±0.70 out of 5 points. Political participation showed positive correlations between political efficacy (r=.48, p<.001) and nursing professionalism (r=.27, p<.001). Furthermore, sex (female) and political efficacy were identified as influencing factors on political participation among nursing students, which explained it with 24.0% power. Conclusion: Providing timely nursing education is necessary for enhancing political efficacy, which could promote political participation among nursing students.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of safety control, nursing professionalism, and burnout on patient safety management activities of operating room nurses. Methods: Data were collected from August 10 to September 26, 2022 from 154 operating nurses who consented to participate and have worked for more than six months in hospitals with 300 or more beds in the Seoul-Incheon area. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program. Results: The main factors affecting patient safety management activities were safety control (β=.36, p<.001) and nursing professionalism (β=.15, p=.046). The regression model was statistically significant (F=13.49, p<.001), with explanatory power of approximately 28.6%. Conclusion: Based on these results, the aforementioned activities can be promoted by preparing and providing an operating room safety management program that can improve safety control and establish proper nursing professionalism.

Purpose: This study aims to examine factors affecting nursing professionalism among nursing students. Methods: Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from July to August, 2022. The participants were a total of 266 students in the 3^rd and 4^th grades located in A and C cities. T-test, ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used for data analysis using SPSS 24.0 program. Results: The average score for clinical competency was 4.05±0.59 (out of 5), confidence in essential nursing skill was 3.52±0.64 (out of 5), and nursing professionalism was 4.11±0.52 (out of 5). There was a positive correlation between clinical competency and confidence in essential nursing skills with nursing professionalism. The factors influencing nursing professionalism were clinical competency and grade, which explained 30% of nursing professionalism. Conclusion: The results of this study may be used as basic data for developing educational methods to improve nursing professionalism.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to confirm the relationship between nursing students' nursing professionalism and ethical decision-making confidence, and to clarify the mediating effect of moral sensitivity which has a mutual influence on nursing professionalism and ethical decision-making confidence. Methods: The data collection for this study was conducted from January 23 to February 1, 2021 with junior and senior nursing students enrolled in five nursing departments in two regions. The data collected in this study were analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistics version 23.0 program. Results: Through this study, it was found that nursing professionalism (β=.47) and moral sensitivity (β=.32) acted as important influencing factors on the ethical decision-making confidence of nursing students, with an explanatory power of 31.2%. In addition, it was confirmed that there was a partial mediating effect of moral sensitivity in the relationship between the nursing professionalism and ethical decision-making confidence of nursing students, and the mediating effect coefficient of moral sensitivity was .16. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it is suggested to prepare a plan to increase ethical decision-making confidence and moral sensitivity when planning interventions to improve nursing professionalism in nursing students.

Purpose: This study attempted to discern the factors that influence nursing professionalism, learning agility, and the nursing practice environment on the performance of nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 202 clinical nurses who both consented to participate and who have worked for more than one year in one of five small- and medium-sized hospitals located in three regions of Korea. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 statistical programs. Results: The nurses' performance showed a statistically significant correlation with nursing professionalism (r=.50, p<.001), learning agility (r=.54, p<.001), and nursing practice environment (r=.37, p<.001). Factors affecting the results of nurses' performance in relation to the subjects are those of learning agility (β=.33, p<.001), nursing professionalism (β=.25, p<.001), clinical career (β=.24, p=.001), education level (β=.16, p=.011), and nursing practice environment (β=.15, p=.016). Conclusion: To improve the performance of nurses in medium-sized hospitals, it is necessary to develop a nursing practice environment, programs, and strategies for enhancing nursing professionalism and learning agility.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the clinical practice experience and environment of dental hygiene students, and to determine how these factors relate to their dental hygiene professionalism. The aim was to provide data necessary to improve the clinical practice environment and promote professionalism in dental hygiene. Methods: A survey was conducted in August 2023 among dental hygiene students from five randomly selected universities in the metropolitan area. Data analysis methods included t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The main influencing factors of dental hygiene professionalism were the quality of instruction in the clinical practice, opportunities for learning, preparedness for students, and satisfaction with the practice institution (p<0.05). There was a significant positive correlation between the clinical practice environment and all sub-items of dental hygiene professionalism (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results of this study emphasize that the choice of practice institution is very important to enhance dental hygiene professionalism, and close collaboration between universities and practice institutions is highlighted to improve the quality of clinical practice guidance and opportunities for participation.

이 연구의 목적은 간호 대학생들의 전공 선택 동기, 전공 만족도, 간호 전문직관, 취업 준비 행동 등을 조사하고, 취업 준비 행동에 미치는 영향 요인을 파악하기 위함이다. 자료는 2018년 11월 1일부터 12월 20일까지 전라남도와 경기도에 소재한 2개 대학교 3, 4학년에 재학 중인 208명의 간호 대학생으로부터 자가 기입식 설문지를 사용하여 수집하였다. 자료는 SPSS Win 22.0 program (frequence, ANOVA, pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis) 으로 분석하였다. 취업 준비 행동 평균 점수는 2.74±0.70 (범위: 1-5) 이었다. 전공만족도, 간호 전문직관는 각각 취업 준비 행동과 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 다중회귀분석 결과 취업 준비 행동에 의미 있게 영향을 미치는 요인은 간호 전문직관, 일반적 특성 중 성적, 취업 준비 기간 등이었다. 이러한 요인들은 취업 준비 행동에 관해 21.5%의 설명력을 보였다. 영향을 미치는 요인이 양호할수록 취업 준비 행동을 더 잘하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 영향을 미치는 요인이 취약한 학생들을 선별한 후, 간호 전문직관, 성적 등을 향상시키고, 조기에 취업 준비를 시작하도록 하는 것이 취업 준비 행동을 향상시키는 방법이라는 것이다. 취업 준비 행동을 향상시키기 위하여 영향을 미치는 요인들을 반영한 취업 준비 프로그램을 개발해야 한다.

본 논문에서는 주차 공간에 배치된 센서들로부터 차량을 감지하고 이를 서버로 전송함으로써 클라이언트가 실시간적으로 주차 공간 정보 서비스를 받는 시스템을 구현하였다. 또한 이 시스템은 웹이나 앱을 통해 클라이언트가 쉽게 접근 가능하며, 직관적인 사용자 인터페이스(UI)로 쉽고 한눈에 알아볼 수 있도록 한다. 센서는 주차장 환경에 따라 구성과 배치 방법이 달라질 수 있으며, 핵심은 검증된 센서의 값이 서버 전송을 통하여 데이터를 가공하고, 이를 클라이언트에게 제공하는 것에 있다. 제안한 시스템으로 대형 주차장에서의 효율적인 주차 정보 서비스를 통해 주차시간 줄여주는 효과가 있을 것으로 기대된다.

보안관제시스템이 사이버 공격 현황을 보다 한눈에 알 수 있도록 시각적이고 입체적으로 바뀌고 있다. 네트워크 이상트래픽과 보안이벤트를 단순 텍스트나 표, 그래프를 넘어 3차원 영상 화면에서 직관적으로 분석하고 공격 상황을 볼 수 있는 기술이 보안관제시스템에 속속 결합되고 있어 주목된다. 본 연구는 기존 보안시스템 화상의 저장방법, 화상의 감시, 녹화된 화상의 검색 시 불안정성, 운영방법, 설치 방법 등을 혁신적으로 보완한 NETWORK CAMERA 은 RTOS, 카메라, 영상압축기, LAN제어기 등을 하나로 통합한 Embedded System으로 구성되어 운영자뿐만 아니라 누구든지 손쉽게 운영할 수 있도록 초점을 맞추어 인터넷 웹 환경에서 제공토록 개발되어 운영의 효율성을 높인 차세대 보안시스템을 구축하고자 합니다.
