This study suggests a framework which extracts features of collective intelligence from social Q&A community sites and takes advantage of those features upon vertical search for domain specific knowledge or information retrieval. One source of collective intelligence on the internet is the question and answer(Q&A) data available from many Q&A sites. Vertical search is focused on searching special areas or specific domains. This paper proposes a framework for extending the relevant terms by using Q&A information connected with query that the user wants to retrieve, and then applies them to specific domain field that requires professional and detailed knowledge.

정보의 중요성이 날로 부각되고 인터넷 사용인구가 급격히 증가함에 따라 국내에서도 정보검색에 대한 관심이 크게 높아지고 있다. 여기에 PC의 보급이 일반화되어 사무실이나 가정에서 쉽게 온라인에 접속하여 정보검색을 할 수 있게 됨에 따라 정보검색이 일부 전문가들의 영역을 벗어나 일반인들 사이로 확산되고 있다. 이제는 정보검색을 전문적인 기능으로 국가에서 관리하는 방안을 검토할 때이다. 전문 검색인의 발굴 및 평가 체제를 일본의 사례를 통해 알아보자.

In a qualitative approach, this study investigated users' perceptions associated with their satisfactions in the process of using the scholarly resource search functions of the academic version of the NAVER search engine. For this study, the data was collected from a group of undergraduate students, who conducted academic information searches in the field of own major disciplinary areas, using the Web portal. Based on the data, students' satisfactions and dissatisfactions along with the reasons of their perceptions were analyzed. The results presented users' perceptions in various evaluation criteria based on the three major domains: system interfaces, retrieval mechanisms and search results. Based on the results, the study proposed the following suggestions: 1) the enhancements of the system interfaces and HELP guidances based the limited user knowledge on basic system terminologies 2) the improvements of the retrieval mechanisms associated with understanding the contexts of the search terms presented by users 3) the necessity of the user education due to the insufficient user knowledge of the retrieval mechanisms and the search functions.

인터넷 포털 사이트는 단순한 검색엔진을 넘어 네티즌들이 항해하는 사이버스페이스 그 자체를 의미할 정도로 영역과 개념이 확대되었다. 일반인들뿐만 아니라 전문 연구자도 필요로 하는 학술정보를 포털 사이트에서 서비스하기 때문에 포털 사이트를 많이 이용한다. 그 동안 포털의 검색은 얼마나 많은 정보를 검색 결과로 제시해 줄 것인가 하는 양적인 면에 관심을 두었다. 그러나 최근에는 검색의 질적인 측면에 보다 많은 관심이 주어지고 있다. 이 논문은 포털에서 제공하는 전문 학술정보 검색의 문제점을 제시하고, 주제어 사전 서비스와 연계하여 보다 신뢰성 높은 학술정보를 검색할 수 있게 하기 위한 시범적인 시도이다. 즉, 검증되고 압축적으로 정리된 사전의 표제어와, 해당 표제어를 키워드로 하는 권위있는 연구 성과를 같이 연계시킴으로써, 사전을 검색할 때 연구 성과까지 검색할 수 있게 하여, 검색의 효율성과 정보의 신뢰성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

기계번역에서 좋은 품질의 번역 결과를 얻기 위해서는 대상으로 하고 잇는 전문 영역에 맞게 시스템의 번역 지식을 조정해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 대상 영역 코퍼스를 이용하여 기계번역 시스템의 특정 영역화를 지원하는 워크벤치를 설계하고 구현한다. 워크벤치는 대상 영역의 코퍼스에서 대상 영역의 지식을 추출하는 영역 지식 추출기와, 추출된 지식을 사용자에게 제시하여 사용자가 사전을 편집할 수 있는 환경을 제공하는 영역 지식 검색기와 사전 편집기로 구성된다. 구혀된 워크벤치를 이용하여 일반 영역 사전을 군사 정보 영역으로 특정 영역화를 해 본 결과, 효율성과 정확성에서의 향상이 있었다.

Recently, a specialized hospital designation system has been introduced. In this regard, it is a question of whether a hospital can be searched by using the term 'specialized hospital' or 'specialized' in Internet online search. In this paper, it was examined whether there is a possibility that the medical institution might be mistaken as a specialized hospital designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare when the concept of 'specialized hospital' or 'specialized' was used in advertisements. The name specialized hospitals can basically have three general meaning. So, if there is a possibility of confusion or misunderstanding in connection with this general meaning, it may be false advertising. The use of concepts other than these general meanings in law does not mean that general meaning disappears from consumer perception. Therefore, although the concept of a specialized hospital in the medical service act is defined in a special sense, the meaning of the specialized hospital should also be considered according to general recognition. In conclusion, the "Guideline for Specialized Hospital Advertising" prepared by the Ministry of Health and Welfare shows that the establishment of a wide range of prohibition limits the freedom of expression of medical institutions. In addition, the comprehensive prohibition of search terms such as 'specialized', and 'advanced' prevents consumers from freely searching for medical institutions with expertise. These guidelines, which are being deprived of the opportunity for professional medical institutions to advertise themselves appropriately, must be thoroughly reviewed.

현대에 이르러 개인의 힘으로는 해결하기 난해한 문제들이 갈수록 많아지고 있다. 따라서 문제를 해결하기 위한 정보의 유통 구조도 기존의 수직적이고 단방향적인 구조에서 수평적이고 양방향적인 구조로 변화하고 있다. 이에 맞추어 웹 2.0 플랫폼이 대두되었고 위키피디아, 지식 검색 등 집단의 힘을 빌려 문제를 해결하는 방법들이 주목을 받고 있다. 하지만 집단의 힘에 기대어 정보를 생산하는 것이 언제나 옳고 효율적이라고 말할 수 없다. 누구든 참여할 수 있다는 특징으로 인해 악용되는 부작용도 있을뿐더러 전문적인 의견이 필요한 영역의 경우에는 일반 지식의 힘이 도움이 못 되는 경우도 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대중들에게 쉽게 사용되고 있는 검색 사이트와 집단 지성의 대표 사례 중 하나인 위키 피디아를 통해 집단 지성의 힘이 충분히 발휘될 수 있는 문제의 영역에 대해 탐색하고자 한다.

올 하반기 국내 포털업계에 대규모 검색서비스 전쟁이 예고되고 있다. 관련업계에 따르면 다음커뮤니케이션.야후코리아.엠파스.MSN코리아∙구글등 주요 포털 업체들이 각종 신규 검색서비스를 내놓고 올 하반기 검색서비스 시장에서 한판 승부를 벌일 채비를 하고 있다. 특히 이들 포털들은 지난해부터‘블로그’, ‘미니홈피’붐에 힘입어 인기를 끈 개인화, 1인 미디어 시대에 맞춰 커뮤니티에 초점을 맞춘 신규 서비스를 대거 선보일 계획으로 기존 일반 검색을 넘어선 커뮤니티 검색에서 치열한 경쟁을 펼칠 것으로 전망된다. 이와 함께 올 하반기에는 구글.야후.MSN 등 외국계 기업이 주도하고 있는 데스크톱 검색서비스 역시 본격 점화될 것으로 예상되고, 지난 5월말 엠파스의 열린검색으로 본격적인 포문을 연 전문검색 영역 역시 계속 가속화돼 한층 진화된 서비스가 보여질 것으로 보인다. 이에 따라 새로운 검색서비스들이 검색 패러다임의 전환을 가져올 수 있을지 관련업계의 관심이 모아지 고 있다. 최근 들어 새롭게 등장한 신규 검색서비스에는 어떤 것들이 있고 어떤 경향을 담고 있는지 검색서비스 현황을 살펴본다.

웹의 비약적인 발전으로 정보가 폭발적으로 증가하였고, 이로 인하여 정보검색 기술에서 해당 정보를 빠르게 찾는 것에 목표를 두었던 기술이 원하는 정보를 정확하게 찾는 기술로 발전을 이루게 된다. 시맨틱 웹 기술은 이와 같은 요구에 부응하기 위하여 등장했으며 의미 기반의 검색 및 추론과 같은 지식 발견 등의 기술을 가능하게 한다. 일반적인 정보가 아닌 법률과 같은 전문지식 영역의 정보는 현재 일반 사용자들이 쉽게 접근하여 법률 정보를 확인할 수 있는 환경이 되지 못한다. 따라서 시맨틱 웹 기술을 이용한 온톨로지 기반의 법률 검색 서비스가 필요하며 이를 위한 기반 시스템을 구축하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 온톨로지 기반의 법률 검색 서비스를 위해 법률이 가지는 구조적 특징을 분석하고, RDF 기반의 온토롤지 구축 방법 및 RDF 언어 레벨에서 하지 못했던 명시적인 트리플 외에 추론된 트리플을 찾아 낼 수 있는 질의 방법의 고안 및 추론 방법을 제안한다. 이를 통해 법률 용어를 정확하게 모르는 일반 사용자들이 법과 관련된 검색을 수행할 시 효과적으로 법명 및 조문 내용을 확인할 수 있으며 RDF 언어 레벨의 추론 기능의 제안으로 RDF 레벨로 구축된 다양한 분야의 시스템에서 다른 추가적인 레이어 없이 추론을 위한 기반 기술을 갖출 수 있다.
