IPI feeding structure for the gain improvement of IFA (IFA 이득 향상을 위한 IPI 급전 구조)

  • Design of IPI feeding structure affecting the antenna gain improvement of mobile phone was investigated. IPI feeder which based on the T matching theory increase line current for internal antenna such as IFA. So IPI feeder makes higher radiation resistance, and also increases the gain with increasing radiation efficiency. To verify IPI feeding effect, feeder is applied to conventional CDMA/DCS dual band IFA. Measurement shows that IPI-IFA has 0.5 ~ 1.4[dBi] higher gain than conventional IFA at CDMA/DCS band. Resonant frequency did not change.

  • In this paper, the high-voltage novel devices have been fabricated by 0.35 um BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) process. Electrical characteristics of 20 V level BJT device, 30/60 V HV-CMOS, and 40/60 V LDMOS are analyzed. Also, the vertical/lateral BJT with the high-current gain and LIGBT with the high-voltage are proposed. In the experimental results, vertical/lateral BJT has breakdown voltage of 15 V and current gain of 100. The proposed LIGBT with the high-voltage has breakdown voltage of 195 V, threshold voltage of 1.5 V, and Vce, sat of 1.65 V.

  • This study proposes a controller that compensates torque error for precise angular velocity tracking and a method to compensate the stability of controller in implementation. Also, it is proved that the designed controller can be asymptotically stable based on Lyapunov stability theory. The proposed controller is able to control the d-axis reference current to arbitrary values and easily achieve control performance with two gains. As a result of applying to IPMSM of about 750W class, the steady state error with reference speed 1200 [RPM] is within 0.1 [%]. And it can be seen that it is an asymptomatic stable controller overcoming disturbance within about 0.2 second in application of constant load of about 5 [Nm].

  • This paper proposes a 401MHz-406MHz low noise amplifier for MedRadio applications. The proposed low noise amplifier adopts a common gate amplifier topology using current reuse gm-boosting technique. The proposed low noise amplifier shows better performance of voltage gain and noise figure than the conventional gm-boosted common gate amplifier in the same power consumption. The proposed current-reuse gm-boosted low noise amplifier achieves a voltage gain of 22 dB, a noise figure of 2.95 dB, and IIP3 of -17 dBm while consuming $170{\mu}W$ from a 0.5 V supply voltage in $0.13{\mu}m$ CMOS process.

  • 본 논문은 전력증폭기 정합회로 설계시 주어진 임피던스를 가지고 Ansoft사의 Ensemble을 이용해 기본적인 정합회로를 설계하였다. MHL21336 , MRF21030 ,MRF21125로 대전력 증폭기를 설계 및 제작하여 측정해본 결과 전체 이득이 52㏈, 대역폭 안에서 이득 평탄도는 ±0.37㏈ 정도, 출력이 PEP 5l㏈m에서 -30㏈c의 결과를 얻었다. Bias 전류에 대한 5㎒ Tone-space IMD 특성곡선을 측정해 본 결과 기지국용 대전력 증폭기로 사용할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 프로브로 급전되는 패치 안테나의 경우 급전점에서 급격히 변하는 전류 성분들이 존재하게 되는데, 이러한 성분들은 패치와 프로브간의 연속성을 보장해 줄 수 있는 attachment mode를 사용하여 정확하게 표현될 수 있다. 본 논문은 프로브 급전 구조를 정확하게 모델링할 수 있는 attachment mode를 사용하여 Radome이 올려진 원형 마이크 로스트립 안테나를 해석하여 임피던스, 반사계수, 및 이득 변화의 영향을 분석하였다.

  • This paper proposes a low power capacitor cross-coupled 5.2 GHz band low noise amplifier(LNA) using the current-reused topology with the TSMC 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process. The proposed 5.2 GHz band LNA uses a capacitor cross-coupled $g_m$-boosting method for reducing current flow of circuit and a current-reused topology to decrease total power dissipation. The parallel LC networks are used to reduce size of spiral inductors. The simulation results show high gain of 17.4 dB and noise figure(NF) of 2.7 dB for 5.2 GHz.

  • This paper proposes a novel method to compensate for the measurement errors in detecting phase currents for vector-controlled inverter in real-time. The output torque equations for 3-phase induction motor are derived in terms of offset error and transducing gain error in current measurement circuits, and the equations shows that motor output torque has many ripples due to current measurement errors. Especially, if the proposed method is applied to vector-controlled inverter, the torque ripple by transducing gain error can be reduced in real-time at running state of motor. To verify the proposed method, it was applied to vector-controlled inverter for 3-phase induction motor of 200[W] and computer simulation and experimentation were carried out.
