The goal of this paper is to set the research and development (R&D) strategic plan of Honam Sea Grant (HSG) program which is to secure the base technologies for the success of Jeollanamdo's policy projects in the area of maritime and fisheries. HSG's mission is to support science-based sustainable management, conservation and enhancement of Honam coastal and aquatic resources through research, extension and education. Firstly, 80 cases of Jeollanam-do's policy project and 48 cases of HSG's R&D project are compiled and classified into the five areas of maritime and fisheries. Secondly, typical key words are extracted from each five areas and assessed the inherent meanings of each key words using quarterly segmented meaning allocation techniques with 'intended for practical use', 'intended for theoretical use', 'intended for future', and 'intended for current'. Then, we proposed R&D strategic plan based on the evaluation results and, it's practical use is also discussed.

The purpose of this study is to explore the methods to activate and functional changes of rural centers to improve residents' quality of life and secure sustainability in rural areas. The existing policy for activating rural centers lacks for placeness because walking-focused features of a Myeon seat have been changed due to the improvement of physical environment for easy car accessibility. They also wanted to solve abandoned houses and secure parking lots in the landscape plan. Based on analysis results, design guidelines were suggested. Long-stay tourism programs for outside visitors should be developed through the rural center activation project. They should be linked with projects for preserving the history of Byeongyeong Fortress and developing Hamel Village. Mountain trails and waterfront should be created to enhance accessibility and linkage methods with other resources should be prepared. As Byeongyeong-myeon has various tourism resources, design guidelines for each element should be made for a macroscopic direction and systematic landscape management.

This study was to examine the factors that affect the oral health knowledge of elementary school students. This study surveyed a comparative study of the students and guardians' oral health knowledge among the elementary schools operating or not operating school dental clinic program in Jeollanamdo. The subjects were 178 elementary school students and guardian, structured questionnaires were performed during the period from May 2 to May 26, 2014. As a result, non-operated school dental clinic program had a negative effect on Oral health knowledge of students, but it was not significant. The factors associated with student's oral health knowledge turned out to be oral heath education experience of guardian, oral health education participation of student, self-reported oral health of student. In conclusion, student's oral health knowledge was influenced by student's and guardian's oral health-related behaviors, oral health status of student.
