Strength Character of the Condition of Consolidated Constant pressure with Improvement One-Dimension Shearing Test and Simple Shearing Test (정압(CD)조건의 개량형 일면전단시험과 단순전단시험에 있어서 강도특성에 관한 연구)

  • 일면전단시험은 전단면의 응력을 직접 측정하므로 평면변형시 강도를 파악할 수 있는 등의 많은 장점을 가지고 있으며, 시험조작이 간편하기 때문에 실용적으로도 우수한 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 사질토의 경우에 의한, Dilatancy에 의한 체적변화과정에서 공시체와 전단상자의 주면마찰력이 전단면의 수직 응력을 증감시키기 때문에 구해지는 강도가 과대 또는 과소하게 나타나는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 반력판측에 장착한 하중계를 통해 전단면의 수직응력을 직접 측정 제어하는 형식으로 개선되어 주면마찰력의 영향을 해소하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 반력판측에 하중계를 장착한 개량형 다단식 단순전단시험기를 개발하여 사질토의 정압(CD)조건 전단시험을 수행하여 강도특성과 전단강도에 미치는 영향을 개량형 일면전단시험의 결과와 비교하였다. 그 결과 정압조건의 일면전단시험과 단순전단시험에 의한 강도정수는 조밀한 모래의 경우는 거의 비슷하게 나타나며, 느슨한 모래의 경우는 일면전단이 다소 크게 나타났다. 그리고 단순전단과 일면전단시험에서의 Dilatancy거동에는 큰 차이가 나타나지 않았다.

Shear-Rate Dependent Ring-Shear Characteristics of the Waste Materials of the Imgi Mine in Busan (부산 임기광산 광미의 전단속도에 따른 링 전단특성 연구)

  • Abandoned mine deposits are exposed to various physico-chemical geo-environmental hazards and disasters, such as acid mine drainage, water contamination, erosion, and landslides. This paper presents the ring shear characteristics of waste materials. The ring shear box with a rotatable O-ring was used in this study. Three tests were performed: (i) Shear stress-time relationship for given normal stress and shear speed, (ii) shear stress as a function of shear speed, and (iii) shear stress as a function of normal stress. For a given normal stress (50 kPa) and speed (0.1 mm/sec), the materials tested exhibit a strain softening behavior, regardless of drainage condition. The peak and residual shear stresses were determined for each normal stress and shear speed. The shear stress was measured when shear speed is equal to 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10, 50, 100 mm/sec or when normal stress is equal to 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 150 kPa. From the test results, we found that the shear stress increases with increasing shear speed. The shear stress also increases with increasing normal stress. However, different types of shearing mode were observed in drained and undrained conditions. Under drained condition, particle crushing was observed from the shearing zone to the bottom of lower ring. Under undrained condition, particle crushing was observed only at the shearing zone, which has approximately 1 cm thick. It means that a significant high shear speed under undrained condition can result in increased landslide hazard.

전주전단대 화강암류의 SHRIMP U-Pb 저어콘 연령측정: 호남전단대의 운동시기에 대한 고찰

  • 호남전단대는 옥천대 남서부지역에 북동 내지 북북동 방향으로 발달하는 일련의 우수향 연성전단대로 한반도를 포함하는 동북아 지역의 중생대 부가작용과 관련하여 매우 중요한 조구조적 요소이며, 특히 북중국 대륙과 남중국 대륙이 유라시아 대륙에 부가되는 과정과 관련하여 동북아 지역의 중생대 지체구조 발달사를 설정하는데 매우 중요하게 생각되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 조구조적 중요성에도 불구하고 호남전단대의 정확한 운동 시기는 아직 밝혀지지 않고 있다. 이번 연구는 전주전단대가 지나가는 김제 금산사 지역과 무안 지역에 분포하는 화강암류를 대상으로 SHRIMP U-Pb 저어콘 연대 측정을 실시하여 전단운동시기를 밝혔다. 금산사 지역은 엽리상 각섬석-흑운모 화강섬록암이 흑운모 화강암에 포획된 명확한 지질학적 증거를 보이고 있는 곳으로 화강섬록암의 U-Pb 저어콘 연대는 172.7 $\pm$ 1.4 Ma이며 화강암의 연대는 169.6 $\pm$ 1.8 Ma과 167.5 $\pm$ 2.4 Ma로 구해졌다. 따라서 전주전단대의 전단운동은 약 173 - 170 Ma 기간에 일어났다. 특히 화강암 내에 포획된 화강섬록암 내에는 전반적인 우수향 전단운동 후기에 관입한 다수의 석영질 맥이 좌수향의 전단운동을 받은 증거가 관찰되는데 이러한 사실은 우수향의 전단운동 이후 화강암의 관입 이전에 좌수향의 전단 운동이 있었음을 지시한다. 무안 지역은 전주전단대의 끝 부분에 해당하는 곳으로 각섬석화강섬록암과 이를 관입한 각섬석화강암이 모두 우수향의 전단운동을 받았다. 화강섬록암의 U-Pb 저어콘 연대는 176.3 $\pm$ 1.7 Ma이며 화강암의 연대는 165.8 $\pm$ 2.0 Ma로 구해졌으며, 따라서 최종 우수향 전단운동의 시기는 166 Ma 이후로 생각된다. 무안 지역에 분포하는 화강섬록암과 화강암의 관입시기는 금산사 지역의 화강섬록암과 화강암과 각각 조화적이다. 호남전단대의 운동 시기를 밝히기 위해 전주전단대에 해당하는 금산사 지역과 무안 지역에 분포하는 화강암류에 대한 U-Pb 저어콘 연대 측정을 실시한 결과 호남전단대의 특징적인 우수향 전단운동은 적어도 2회에 걸쳐 일어났음을 알 수 있다. 즉 첫 번째 광역적인 전단운동은 약 173 - 170 Ma 시기에 일어났으며, 두 번째 전단운동은 166 Ma 이후에 일어났음을 알 수 있다. 한편 전기의 우수향 전단운동은 후기 화강암 관입 이전에 좌수향 전단 운동에 의해 부분적으로 재활성 되었으며, 후기 화강암의 관입 이후에 재차 우수향 전단운동으로 활성화 되었음을 알 수 있다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 호남전단대는 쥬라기 중기에 발생한 광역적인 우수향의 연성전단운동이나, 운동 특성은 연속적이기 보다는 단속적으로 일어난 것으로 생각된다.

  • 시멘트 페이스트의 비선형적 점탄성 거동을 연구하기 위해 동적인 전단 유동 시험 이 수행되었다. 전단응력과 전단변형 또는 전단변형율간의 관계를 보여주는 히스테리시스 곡선을 얻기 위하여 전단응력이 연속적으로 측정되었다. 이는 기존의 주파수 혹은 변형의 증가에 의한 실험(frequency or strain sweep experiment)과는 달리 저자에 의해 수정된 점 성계(HAAKE Model RV20/RC20/CV20N)의 조정프로그램을 이용하여 수행되었다. 동적 전 단유동시험에서 얻어진 히스테리시스곡선은 시멘트 페이스트가 전단변형을 받는 동안 선형 탄성, 입자간 연결고리의 파괴 및 점성유체 거동을 보여준다. 측정된 항복전단응력은 전단변 형율의 증가에 따라 파우어함수(Power low equation)에 의해 증가함을 보여준다.

Shear Strength Model for FRP Shear-Reinforced Concrete Beams (FRP 전단 보강 콘크리트 보의 전단강도 모델)

  • In the present study, a unified shear design method was developed to evaluate the shear strength of concrete beams with and without FRP shear reinforcement. The contributions of FRP and concrete on shear strength were defined separately. By comparing the current design method calculated results with the existing test results, it was found that Triantafillou model shows a reliable prediction of FRP effective strain and FRP shear strength contributions. The concrete shear strength contribution was defined by the strain-based shear strength model developed in the previous study. The shear strength of concrete compression zone was evaluated based on the material failure criteria of the concrete subjected to the compressive normal and shear stresses. The proposed strength model was verified by comparing its prediction results to prior test results. The comparisons showed that the proposed method accurately predicts the strengths of the test specimens for both FRP shear reinforced and unreinforced concrete beams.

  • The objective of this study which it sees direct shear stress and comparative analysis of flexural shear stress leads and it is a shear stress analysis which it follows in load direction of the structure which uses Perfobond Rib shear connectors. To analyze direct shear stress, five Perfobond Rib shear connect experiments were fabricated with five variables and conducted Push-out Tests. After experiments, mechanism of Perfobond Rib shear connector was examined and direct shear formula was proposed based on primary factors which influence direct shear stress. Also, for the analysis of flexural shear steel-concrete composite slab specimens were fabricated and static flexural test. Based on the static flexural test it analyzed the flexural behavior and the flexural shear stress it calculated. Direct shear stress and EN 1994-1-1 to lead and be calculated, it compared the flexural shear stress and it analyzed in about the shear resistance stress which it follows in load direction.

  • Residual shear strength is an important parameter in landslide dynamics and may be considered the critical factor in landslide triggering. Tests were undertaken using Jumunjin sands to examine the effects of smooth and rough surfaces on ring-shear characteristics. Under dense and drained conditions, shear velocities were recorded as 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10, 50, 100 mm s-1, with shear strength increasing with velocity and producing increasingly fine content. Particle fragmentation may thus increase landslide mobilization when the landslide body is mixed with ambient water in channelized flows.

Evaluation of Shear Zone in Direct Shear Test Using Elastic, Electromagnetic Waves and Cone Tip Resistance (전단파, 전자기파 및 콘 관입저항력을 이용한 직접전단실험시 전단영역 특성 평가)

  • The characteristics of shear zone in granular soils largely affect the stability of geo-structures. The goal of this study is to evaluate shear zone in a direct shear test using shear wave, electrical resistivity, and cone tip resistance. Bender elements and electrical resistivity probe are embedded into the wall of a direct shear box made of transparent acrylic material to estimate the shear wave velocities and the electrical resistivity at shear and non-shear zones. At the point of peak and residual strength, micro cone penetration test which can be available to measure tip resistance has been performed. Experimental results show that the shear wave velocities at upper shear zone increase during shearing while the values remain constant at bottom and lower shear zone. Also, resistivities at lower shear zone depend on relative density while resistivities at bottom remain constant. The results of cone penetration test demonstrate the correlation of the cone tip resistance and small strain shear modulus at shear zone. This study suggests that the application of the modified direct shear box including shear wave, electrical resistivity and the micro cone tip resistance may become effective tools for analyzing the characteristics of a shear zone.

  • In this paper, shear behavior of concrete wide beam reinforced with plates with openings was evaluated. For this evaluation, evelen specimens were manufactured. One specimen was non-shear reinforced, five specimens were reinforced with steel plates and the other five specimens were reinforced GFRP plates. Shear strengths measured through experiments were compared with ones calculated from the equation provided by ACI 318. Longitudinal spacing of shear reinforcement, transverse spacing of shear reinforcement and shear reinforcement material were considered as variables. Test results showed that the shear strength increased as the transverse and longitudinal spacing of shear reinforcement became narrow. Also, regardless of material type of shear reinforcement, the shear capacity was similar when the amount of shear reinforcement was the same.

  • The purpose of this study is to experimentally investigate the shear behavior of flat plate that reinforced by embedded GFRP(glass fiber reinforced polymer) plate with openings. Shape of the GFRP shear reinforcement is a plate with several openings to ensure perfect integration with concrete. The test was performed on 7 specimens to check shear strength of flat plate that reinforced by GFRP plate. The parameters include the spacing of the shear reinforcement and amount of the shear reinforcement. The result of test showed that when amount of shear reinforcement was increased, shear strength improved. The result of test showed that maximum shear strength was confirmed when spacing of shear reinforcement was 0.3d. The calculation of the shear strength of reinforced flat plate with GFRP plate based on the KCI was compared with the test results.
