Numerical Investigation of Forming Limit of Coated Sheet Metals (코팅제의 변형한계에 대한 수치적연구)

  • By the used of a similar numerical method as in the previous paper, the forming limit stain of coatedsheet metals is investigated in which the FEM is applied and J2G(J/sab 2/-Gotoh's corner theory) is utilized as the plasticity constitutive equation. Coated two-layer sheets and sheets bonded with dissimilar sheets on both surface planes are stetched in a plane-strain atate, with various work-hardening exponent n-values and thicknesses of each layer. Processes of shear-band formation in such composite sheets are clearly illustrated. It is concluded that, in the coated state, the higher limiting strain of one layer is reduced due to the lower limiting stain of the other layer and vice, and does not necessarily obey the rule of linear combination of the limiting stain of each layer weighted according thickness.

  • Nowadays, plastic industry has needed to produce parts that require high precision and quality. To make a high precision and quality part, before injection molding, plastic material in investigated about their properties such as shrinkage, warpage, etc. In this study, experiments were conducted with PP(polypiopylene) to figure out shrinkage behavior according to three type aspect ratio of samples. The injection speed that affects on shear late, molecular orientation within plastic part was determined as main variable of experiment. As a result of experimental study, part shrinkage had a tendency to be decreased by increasing injection speed and aspect ratio of samples.

  • In press forming of sheet metals, the material sheet is usually subjected to very large plastic strain under in-plane stressing. Moreover, the sheet also very often is subjected to out-of-plane compressive force between tools such as the upper and lower dies, the blank holder and the die, and so forth. In this paper, it is clearly demonstrated theoretically that out-of-plane stress may notably raise the forming limit strain and thus it can be effectively utilized to avoid earlier fracture of the sheet in press forming.

  • In recent years, compression molding of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics has been increased in commercial aspects. During a compression molding process of composites, the flow analysis must be developed in order to accurately predict the finished part properties as a function of the molding process parameters. In this paper, a new model is presented which can be used to predict the flow under consideration of the slip of mold-composites and extensional & shear viscosity ratio M and slip parameter$\alpha$ on the mold filling parameters are discussed.

분말처리 방법에 따른 $UO_2$ 분말 및 성형체에서의 기공도 변화

  • AUC-$UO_2$, ADU-$UO_2$ 분말이 ball mill과 attritor mill에서 분쇄될 때, 기공도변화를 측정함으로서 분말의 특성변화와 분쇄거동을 관찰하였다. 분쇄전 ADU-$UO_2$ 분말은 0.3-7 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위의 기공들이 고르게 분포하였으며, ball mill에서 분쇄되어도 그 분포는 거의 변화가 없었다. 분쇄전 AUC-$UO_2$ 분말은 3-8 $\mu\textrm{m}$와 0.05-0.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위의 기공이 주로 생성되어 있는 bimodal 분포를 나타내었다. Ball mill에서 분쇄됨에 따라 3 $\mu\textrm{m}$이상의 큰 기공과 0.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 이하의 작은 기공이 소멸되고, 0.2-3 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 기공들이 고르게 분포하는 경향을 나타내었다. 반면에 AUC-$UO_2$가 attritor mill에서 분쇄될 경우에는 bimodal 분포는 그대로 유지하면서 3-8 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 큰 기공은 줄어들고 0.05-0.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 기공은 그 양이 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이것은 ball mill에서는 주로 충격작용에 의해서, attritor mill에서는 전단작용에 의해서 분쇄가 진행됨으로 인한 분쇄기구의 차이인 것으로 사료된다.

  • A study is made to put forward the new method of continuous-shear drawing (CSD), and investigate deformation behavior and microstructure evolution of aluminum alloy with a comparison of equal-channel angular (ECA) drawing. In contrast to ECA drawing, the die for CSD deformation can impart an additional strain to the workpiece since the diameter of the exit channel is narrower than that of its entrance channel. Although no significant crack occurs in all conditions during deformation, the sample deformed via CSD method showed better surface quality as compared to ECA drawing. This is mainly ascribed to the fact that the sample is significantly bent rather than sheared when deforming through ECA drawing.

  • In this paper, Compression in the case where dissimilar blocks are twinned variously are carried out in the condition of lubricated interface. The degree of growth is experimentally investigated. Moreover, numerical simulations are carried out by the elastic-plastic FEM for the case of the dissimilar blocks with the initial sawtooth angle of 60。. The dissimilar blocks are twinned, larger difference between material properties leads smaller growth, and the degreased interface leads smaller growth than that in the lubricated one. Furthermore, by the simulation of compression where dissimilar blocks are twinned, it is confirmed that the tendency of the general deformation pattern is very similar to the experiment.

  • AZ31B 마그네슘 합금 판재를 이용하여 자동차 부품을 가공하는 경우에는 판재를 성형하고 이를 접합하여 복잡한 형태의 부품을 만들게 되는데, 대부분의 경우에서 전착도장 공정을 필수로 거치게 된다. 그리고 전착도장 공정은 기존의 자동차 생산 공정에 사용되는 도료 및 공정을 그대로 이용하여야 하며, 현재까지 연구된 결과에 의하면 마그네슘 소재의 전착도장은 전착도장 공정 전에 행해지는 화성처리 공정이 적절하게 처리되었다면 공정상 별다른 문제를 발생시키지 않는다. 즉 마그네슘의 화성처리는 전착도장 공정과 전착도장된 제품의 내식성에 매우 중요한 요소이다. 이러한 화성처리 공정은 화성처리 공정 전단계의 표면 전처리 공정에 크게 영향을 받게 되는데, 본 연구에서는 AZ31B 마그네슘 함금 판재의 전처리-화성처리-전착도장으로 구성되는 마그네슘 표면처리에 있어서 전처리 공정중 산에칭 공정이 화성처리-전착도장의 최종 물성에 미치는 영향에 관하여 조사하였다.
