The study on characteristics of electrodeposited Rh in Sulfate solution (황산염 기반의 로듐 도금 특성 연구)

  • 로듐은 열전도성 및 전기전도도가 우수할 뿐 아니라 산/알칼리에 잘 부식되지 않으며 강한 내구성을 지니고 있어서 장식 및 액세서리의 표면처리 및 각종 전기/전자산업의 부품으로 널리 이용되어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 반도체 검사 장비인 프로브 카드에 조립되어 있는 프로브 니들의 내마모성을 향상시키기 위하여 로듐도금의 특성을 연구하였다. 로듐의 이온 공급원으로 Rhodium sulfate 를 사용하였다. 시편은 황동 시편($0.5cm{\times}2cm$)을 사용하였다. 로듐 도금 시 여러 가지 제어인자 중도금욕의 온도(상온, $40^{\circ}C$, $60^{\circ}C$)와 황산농도(10ml/l, 50ml/l, 100ml/l) 그리고 전류밀도(0.2ASD, 0.5ASD, 1.0ASD)를 변수로 하여 실험을 하였다. 각각의 변수에 따라 전류 효율 및 전착 속도를 분석하였으며, 현미경을 이용하여 표면을 관찰하였다. 그리고 비커스 경도계를 이용하여 경도를 측정하였다.

Development of Time Domain Reflectometry Probe for Evaluation of Copper Concentration in Saline Environment (염수환경에서의 구리 농도 평가를 위한 Time Domain Reflectometry 프로브 개발)

  • As electromagnetic waves are affected by electrical conductivity or permittivity, they are widely used to evaluate geotechnical characteristics. In this study, a probe for measuring electromagnetic waves using a time domain reflectometry is manufactured to evaluate heavy metal concentration in saline water. In the experiments, a copper is used as a heavy metal, and a probe is demonstrated with the concentration of copper. Solutions were set for 8 different copper concentration (0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, 10 mg/L) in saline water with 3% salinity. The probe is coated by electrical insulating materials such as epoxy, top-coat, varnish, acrylic paint, heat-shrinkage tube to measure electromagnetic waves in saline water. The measured signals are compared according to coating material. As results, for probes coated with acrylic paint and heat-shrinkage tube, signal variation is not detected. For epoxy, top-coat, and varnish coated probes, the voltage decreases with an increase of copper concentration. Probes coated by epoxy at once and top coat can estimate under 5 mg/L of copper concentration and the probe coated by epoxy twice can estimate over 5 mg/L of copper concentration. This study shows that the probe using the time domain reflectometry can be used to evaluate the concentration of heavy metal in saline water by coating the probe with insulating material.

A Study on the Characteristics of Two-Phase Flow by Driven Bubbles (기포운동에 따른 2상유동 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In the present study, the characteristics of upward bubble flow were experimentally investigated in a liquid bath. An electro-conductivity probe was used to measure local volume fraction and bubble frequency. Since the gas is concentrated at the near nozzle, the flow parameters are high near the nozzle. In general their axial and radial values tended to decrease with increasing distance. For visualization of flow characteristics, a Particle Image Velocimetry (P.I..V) and a thermo-vision camera were used in the present study. The experimental results show that heat transfer from bubble surface to water is largely completed within z=10mm from the nozzle, and then the temperature of bubble surface reaches that of water rapidly. Due to the centrifugal force, the flow was more developed near the wall than at bubble-water plume. Vortex flow in the bottom region was relatively weaker than that in the upper region.

  • 탄소나노튜브는 고종횡비, 10nm이하의 매우 작은 직경, 높은 전기전도도 및 열전도도, 금속 및 반도체 특성 둥의 우수한 특성 때문에 많이 사용되고 있다. 최근에는 전기적 소자나 화학적, 기계적 센서 그리고 측정용 프로브로 사용될 목적으로 탄소 나노 튜브를 전극들 사이나 끝 단이 날카로운 탐침의 끝에 위치시키는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 탄소나노튜브를 끝 단이 날카로운 탐침의 끝에 위치시켜 CNT tip을 만드는 경우, 지금까지는 수동 조작(manipulation)에 의한 방법과, 화학기상증착법(Chemical Vapor Depsosition: CVD)에 의한 성장방법이 많이 사용되고 있다.(중략)
