Even if shots in frames may be variable in both movies and animations, close-up reveals the significance of the subject in the focus. Because directors and animators take the place the actor as character in animation while performance of actor plays an important role in the close-up in the movies, it is significant to understand the close-up in the animation. In the present study we investigate the dramatic effect of close-up in the animation narrative in animations for theaters. Among the various dramatic effects of the close-up, the natural flow of the narrative and the induction of immersing in emotion are focused. Descriptive close-up is analyzed as a dramatic effect of inducing the natural flow of the narrative. Psychological close-up is analyzed as the induction of immersing emotion by effective delivery of internal mental state of a character. By analyzing symbolic close-up as the induction of immersing in the play by producing a dramatic effect, we expect that the close-up contribute to the advance of animation narrative structure.

Basic theory of fractal dimension is introduced and performed for the generated time series using the water balance model. The water balance equation over a large area is analyzed at seasonal time scales. In the generation and modification of mesoscale circulation local recycling of precipitation and dynamic effects of soil moisture are explicitly included. Time delay is incorporated in the analysis. Depending on the parameter values, the system showed different senarios in the evolution such as fixed point, limit cycle, and chaotic types of behavior. The stochastic behavior of the generated time series is due to deterministic chaos which arises from a nonlinear dynamic system with a limited number of equations whose trajectories are highly sensitive to initial conditions. The presence of noise arose from the characterization of the incoming precipitation, destroys the organized structure of the attractor. The existence of the attractor although noise is present is very important to the short-term prediction of the evolution. The implications of this nonlinear dynamics are important for the interpretation and modeling of hydrologic records and phenomena.

Carlo H. Sequin, a computer scientist, became to know a sculpture of subtle space construction which was created by Brent Collins, a sculptor, and introduced it as 'Visual Mathematics' in a journal. Sequin who was able to deduce a basic logic of the construction, has developed a software which can be used for virtual modeling merely by substituting simple numerical values using a computer and supplied it to Collins. The present author who was exposed to their collaboration works through series of their papers published in the journal, Leonardo, introduces the Collins' sculptures and the author's modeling procedures of animation works both of which show many common things in visual characteristics and modeling expansion method. The author investigates the mathematical characteristics which is used as a basic motive of modeling and then supplied as a principal visual characteristics of a material. 'Modeling Development by Principle Expansion,' in which the expansion is developed on the base of space twist as for Collins whereas the space section as for the present author, is introduced in this study. With the same stream of the mutual reaction in 'arts, sciences and technology' which has been stressed with the development of sciences and technology, this modeling technology is suggested as a research theme which has a possiblity of various applications.

The content and method of geometry taught in secondary school is rooted in 'Elements' by Euclid. On the other hand, however, there are differences between the content and structure of the current textbook and the 'Elements'. The gaps are resulted from attempts to develop the geometry education. Specially, the content and method for the proportional relations of geometric figures has been varied. In this study, we reviewed the changes of the proportional relations of geometric figures with pedagogical point of view. The conclusion that we came to is that the proportional relations in incommensurable case Is omitted in secondary school. Teacher's understanding about the proportional relations of geometric figures is needed for meaningful geometry education.

Companies are actively engaged in various innovation activities and intellectual property rights activities such as patents in order to survive in a fiercely competitive global environment. The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that influence corporate patent-related activities on business results. For this reason, we conducted a questionnaire survey of patent practitioners and R & D personnel of Chinese companies, and analyzed the causal relationship using PLS analysis tools. As a result of the analysis, it was found that compensation and obstacle factors have a significant effect on information sharing (collaboration)... It was found that information sharing (collaboration) has a significant impact on technology complementation (improvement) and corporate image. It was also found that technical complementation (improvement) and corporate image have an impact on management results. The results of this study will be able to find and strategically utilize the factors that promote and encourage companies to develop their patent activities.

The purpose of this study is to see if cultural contents that are characterized by experience goods have different types of One Source Multi Use (OSMU) phenomena. This study classified original works into web-novels and webtoons, and studied how OSMU evolution paths can be different between the two types of originals. In addition, this study compared Korean and Chinese examples. Using eight original works created between 1999 and 2012, which were later used for OSMU, this study investigated how web-novels and webtoons took different OSMU evolution paths in Korea and China. As a result, this study found that web-novels are more actively used in different formats than webtoons, probably because web-novels can more easily stimulate people's imaginations. In addition, Korea was found to use story-centered OSMU before character-centered OSMU, whereas China showed both types of OSMU simultaneously.

Online customer review data can be easily collected on the Internet and also they describe sentimental evaluation of a product in different aspects. Previous sentiment analysis studies evaluate the degree of sentiment with review data, which may have multiple sentences describing different product aspects. Since different aspects of a product can be described in a sentence, the proposed method suggested analyzing a sentence to build a pair of a product aspect terms and sentimental terms. Bidirectional LSTM and CRF algorithms were used in this paper. A pair of aspect terms and sentimental terms are evaluated by pre-defined evaluation rules. The paper suggested using the result of evaulation as inputs of QFD, so that the quantified customer voices effect on the requirements of a new product. Online reviews for a hair dryer were used as an example showing that the proposed approach can derive reasonable sentiment analysis results.

Why the Korea National Assembly shows often limping in its operations despite the introduction of various democratic legislative rules? Regarding the question, this article pays attention to the institutionalization of legislative rules and political saliency of bills, and analyzes the Constitutional Court's law reports. According to the analysis, the National Assembly goes on smoothly when dealing with the bills with low political saliency, but shows anomaly in its operation when dealing with the bills with high political saliency. This indicates that the institutionalization of the legislative rules is relatively low. The low level of the institutionalization is derived fundamentally from a distinguishing characteristic of the power structure in which political power is too much concentrated on the president. Within the power structure, the ruling party has to play the role of protecting and advocating the president, whereas the opposition parties become actors criticizing and checking the president. Consequently, the parliamentary decision-making processes have been dominated by the political strifes between the ruling and opposition parties, often producing limping operations of the National Assembly and delayed institutionalization of the legislative rules.

최근(2000. 11월)미국에서는 근골격계 장애(MSDs ; Musculoskeletal disorfers)를 방지하기 위해 직업안전보건청 (OSHA : Occupational Safety and Health Administration)에서는 인간공학 프로그램표준(Ergonomis program standard)을 규정화하기 위해 관보(Federal Register)에 게시하는 등 법제화 추진이 이루어지고 있으며, 또한 이것이 기업체 단체에서는 규정화 무효를 위한 연방법정 소송이 전개되고 있으며 노동단체에서는 우호적 입장을 보이고 있는 등의 내용이 미국 언론 및 해외 통신(NY Times, LA Times, Washington Times, Wall ST Journal, AFP)에 보도되고 있다. 이미 미국의 반도체 기업에서는 반도체 제조설비의 인간공학을 위한 안전 지침을 정하고 있는 등 인간공학 표준화가 이루어지고 있어 그에 대한 동향을 살펴보고, 이러한 인간공학 프로그램 표준에 대해 자세한 내용을 게제할 계획이다. 금번 호에서는 그 동향과 인간공학 프로그램 표준의 필요성과 그 목적 등의 개요를 싣고 계속해서 구체적인 내용을 소개해 나갈 계획이다.

FTA지각생으로 불리던 우리나라도 FTA추진 논의가 활발하다. 작년 2월 FTA국회 비준 이후 싱가폴, 일본, ASEAN, EFTA 등 여러나라와 FTA관련협상을 추진 중이며 싱가폴의 경우에는 작년 11월 ASEAN +3 정상회담을 계기로 양국정상이 사실상 협상타결을 선언하였다. 종전에는 대부분의 나라들이 자유무역협정(FTA), 지역무역협정(RTA), 특혜무역협정(PTA) 지역주의 등 명칭은 다양하지만 FTA로 대표되는 지역주의를 다자간 자유무역체제의 보완적인 통상정책수단으로 간주하는 경향이 있었다. 그러나, 최근에는 FTA추진이 WTO 체제를 보조하는 통상정책수단이라기 보다는 WTO로 대표되는 다자간교역질서와 병립하는 통상질서로 보는 추세가 점점 나타나고 있다. 대외의존도가 높은 우리나라도 FTA를 통하여 개방정책을 추진할 필요성은 있으나 FTA의 추진시 농업 등 취약산업의 구조조정이 문제가 될 수 있다. 이글에서는 FTA가 WTO로 대표되는 다자간 무역체제와 구분되는 특징과 최근 국제적인 FTA추진동향을 짚어보고 우리나라의 FTA추진 현황과 문제점 특히, 우리나라가 제일 먼저 추진한 한$\cdot$칠레FTA 관련한 문제점을 중심으로 설명하고 최근의 FTA추진이 우리나라 농업에 대한 영향에 대해서 간략하게 평가하고 FTA추진에 대한 대응방안을 이야기 하는 순서로 글을 전개하고자 한다.
