Improved Detecting Schemes for Micro-Electronic Devices Based on Adaptive Hybrid Classification Algorithms (적응형 복합 분류 알고리즘을 이용한 초소형 전자소자 탐지 향상 기법)

  • This paper proposes improved detection schemes for concealed micro-electronic devices using clustering and classification of radio frequency harmonics in order to protect intellectual property rights. In general, if a radio wave with a specific fundamental frequency is propagated from the transmitter of a classifier to a concealed object, the second and the third harmonics will be returned as the radio wave is reflected. Using this principle, we exploit the fuzzy c-means clustering and the ${\kappa}$-nearest neighbor classification for detecting diverse concealed objects. Simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme can detect electronic devices and metal devices in various learning environments by efficient classification. Thus, the proposed schemes can be utilized as an effective detection method for concealed micro-electronic device to protect intellectual property rights.

Single Level Adaptive hp-Refinement using Integrals of Legendre Shape Function (적분형 르장드르 형상함수를 이용한 단일 수준 적응적 hp-체눈 세분화)

  • The basic theory and application of new adaptive finite element algorithm have been proposed in this study including the adaptive hp-refinement strategy, and the effective method for constructing hp-approximation. The hp-adaptive finite element concept needs the integrals of Legendre shape function, nonuniform p-distribution, and suitable constraint of continuity in conjunction with irregular node connection. The continuity of hp-adaptive mesh is an important problem at the common boundary of element interface. To solve this problem, the constraint of continuity has been enforced at the common boundary using the connectivity mapping matrix. The effective method for constructing of the proposed algorithm has been developed by using hierarchical nature of the integrals of Legendre shape function. To verify the proposed algorithm, the problem of simple cantilever beam has been solved by the conventional h-refinement and p-refinement as well as the proposed hp-refinement. The result obtained by hp-refinement approach shows more rapid convergence rate than those by h-refinement and p-refinement schemes. It it noted that the proposed algorithm may be implemented efficiently in practice.

  • Wireless sensor networks are used by various application areas to implement smart data processing and ubiquitous system. In the recent research of parking management system based on wireless sensor networks, adaptive sensing and efficient data processing are not considered. The effectiveness of implementing these distributed computing devices affects the performance of the applications in parking management. This paper proposes an adaptive sensing using fuzzy wireless sensor for the ubiquitous networks of parking management system. The fuzzy inference system is encoded in the sensor for efficient car presence detection. Moreover, a rule base adaptive module is proposed which wirelessly transmit the new values to each sensor for adapting the environment of car park area. The result of experiments shows that the fuzzy wireless sensor provides more throughputs and less time delays compared to a normal method of data gathering by wireless sensors.

  • Recently, the demand of broadband communications such as high-speed internet, HDTV, 3D-HDTV and ATM backbone network has been increased drastically. For transmitting the broad-bandwidth data using wireless network, it is needed to use ka-band frequency. However, the use of this ka-band frequency is seriously affected to the received data performance by rain fading and atmospheric propagation loss at the Ka-band satellite communication link. So, we need adaptive MODEM to endure the degraded performance by channel environment. In this paper, we will present the structure and design of the 155Mbps adaptive Modem adaptively compensated against channel environment. In order to compensate the rain attenuation over the ka-band wireless channel link, the adaptive coding schemes with variable coding rates and the multiple modulation schemes such as trellis coded 8-PSK, QPSK, and BPSK are adopted. And the blind demodulation scheme is proposed to demodulate without Information of modulation mode at the multi-mode demodulator, and the fast phase ambiguity resolving scheme is proposed. The design and simulation results of adaptive Modem by SPW model are provided. This 155Mbps adaptive MODEM was designed and implemented by single ASIC chip with the $0.25\mu{m}$ CMOS standard cell technology and 950 thousand gates.

Adaptive Network Topology Configuration in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (이동 Ad-hoc 네트워크 환경에서의 적응형 네트워크 토폴로지 구성)

  • 이동 Ad-hoc 네트워크(MANET) 환경은 기존의 서버/클라이언트 구조인 유선 네트워크와 달리 이동 노드만으로 구성된 네트워크로서, 노드들의 이동이 빈번하게 발생하는 매우 동적인 특성을 가지고 있다. 따라서 서버의 도움 없이 노드들 스스로 네트워크 토폴로지를 효과적으로 구성하고 이를 적절히 유지하는 기법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 메모리, 프로세싱, 베터리와 같은 노드 정보와 가용 대역폭, 서비스중인 노드의 수와 같은 네트워크 정보를 이용하어 적응적으로 네트워크 토폴로지를 구성하는 기법을 제시한다. 이 기법은 새로운 노드의 네트워크 참여 여부를 결정하는 토폴로지 디스커버리와 기존 노드의 탈퇴 및 위지 이동 등과 같은 상황에 적응적으로 대처하는 토폴로지 유지 기법으로 구성된다. 또한 기간망에 연결되지 않는 독립 Ad-hoc 네트워크와 기간망에 연결되는 통합 Ad-hoc 네트워크 간의 빠른 전환을 위한 네트워크 설정 자가 구성기법을 제시한다.

  • To control permanent magnet synchronous motors smoothly, it is important to know the exact parameter values of the stator resistance, various inductances, and the flux linkage of the permanent magnet. In practice, these parameters vary due to a variable operating point, temperature change, or a fault. This paper proposes a MRAS (Model Reference Adaptive System) based parameter estimator and adaptive control scheme. Owing to the non-linearity of the system equation with respect to these parameters, although many schemes proposed previously assumed that some parameters are known, all the parameters were assumed to be unknown. The simulation results revealed the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

An Adaptive Grid Resource Selection Method Using Statistical Analysis of Job History (작업 이력의 통계 분석을 통한 적응형 그리드 자원 선택 기법)

  • As large-scale computational applications in various scientific domains have been utilized over many integrated sets of grid computing resources, the difficulty of their execution management and control has been increased. It is beneficial to refer job history generated from many application executions, in order to identify application‘s characteristics and to decide selection policies of grid resource meaningfully. In this paper, we apply a statistical technique, Plackett-Burman design with fold-over (PBDF), for analyzing grid environments and execution history of applications. PBDF design identifies main factors in grid environments and applications, ranks based on how much they affect to their execution time. The effective factors are used for selecting reference job profiles and then preferable resource based on the reference profiles is chosen. An application is performed on the selected resource and its execution result is added to job history. Factor's credit is adjusted according to the actual execution time. For a proof-of-concept, we analyzed job history from an aerospace research grid system to get characteristics of grid resource and applications. We built JARS algorithm and simulated the algorithm with the analyzed job history. The simulation result shows good reliability and considerable performance in grid environment with frequently crashed resources.

Adaptive Tree-based Recovery Scheme for Large-Scale Reliable Multicast Sessions (대규모 신뢰적 멀티캐스트 세션을 위한 적응형 트리 기반 복구 기법)

  • 통신의 규모가 사용자 수와 지리적 범위 두 가지 측면에서 커짐에 따라 신뢰적인 멀티캐스트 프로토콜의 implosion 및 exposure 문제는 더욱 심각해진다. 본 논문은 트리 기반 신뢰적 멀티캐스트를 위한 효율적이고 확장성 있는 손실 복구 기법을 제안한다. 먼저 에러 비트맵 정보를 통하여 멀티캐스트 라우팅 트리와 유시한 논리적 트리를 구성함으로써 멀티캐스트 라우팅 트리에서 상위에 위치하는 수신자들이 재전송을 요청한 수신자의 신뢰성을 책임지도록 하고 또한 효율적인 복구를 위해 구성된 트리 상에 독립된 멀티캐스트 주소를 가지는 지역 그룹을 형성한다. 논리적 트리는 세션 멤버쉽이나 멀티캐스트 경로의 변화에 따라 적응적으로 재구성되는데 이는 멀티캐스트 세션의 진행 동안 논리적 트리와 멀티캐스트 라우팅 트리 사이에 불일치를 최소화함으로써 멤버쉽과 경로가 변하는 상황에서도 implosion과 exposure를 감소시키는 강점을 지닌다. 제안한 기법과 정적 트리기반의 신뢰적 멀티캐스트 프로토콜과의 시뮬레이션을 통한 비교는 세션의 크기가 증가할수록 제안한 적응형 트리 기반의 복구방식이 더욱 효율적임을 보여준다.

Performance Analysis and Design of Adaptive Modulation OFDM Simulator using Equalizer (등화기를 적용한 적응변조 OFDM 시뮬레이터 설계 및 성능 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 Matlab Tool을 이용하여 적응변조 OFDM 시스템 GUI 시뮬레이터를 설계하였다. 설계된 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 적응변조 기법을 위한 채널 추정 알고리즘과 무선 채널환경에서 시스템에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 추정된 결과를 이용하여 적응형 등화기를 적용한 적응변조 OFDM 시스템의 성능을 BER과 성좌도를 통하여 분석한다. 분석결과, 기존의 고정된 변조 방식을 사용하는 시스템인 경우 고속의 데이터 전송을 위해 높은 지수의 변조모드(64QAM)를 사용함으로써 채널 환경에 민감하게 심볼오류 발생률이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 채널상태에 따라 가변을 취하는 적응변조 OFDM 시스템의 경우 64QAM방식에 비해 (BER=10-2)를 기준으로 약 8㏈ 성능의 이득이 있음을 알 수 있고 적응형 등화기를 적용함에 따라 왜곡을 받은 신호 파형의 보상이 가능함을 알 수 있다. 무수한 장애의 요인을 갖은 무선 채널환경에서 효율적인 데이터 전송을 위해 적응변조시스템이 요구되어짐을 알 수 있었다.

An Adoptive Current Control Scheme of an AC Servo Motor for Performance Improvement of a Servo Drive (서보 드라이브 성능 향상을 위한 AC 서보 전동기의 적응형 전류 제어)

  • An MRAC-based adaptive current control scheme of an AC servo motor is presented for the performance improvement of a servo drive. Although the predictive current control is known to give ideal transient and steady-state responses, its steady-state response my be degraded under motor parameter variations. To overcome such a limitation, the disturbances caused by the parameter variations will be estimated by using an MRAC technique and compensated by a feedforward control. The proposed scheme does not require the measurement of the phase voltage unlike the conventional disturbance estimation scheme using observer. The asymptotic stability is proved. The proposed scheme is implemented using DSP TMS320C31 and the effectiveness is verified through the comparative simulations and experiments.
