A Study on Smart Touch Projector System Technology Using Infrared (IR) Imaging Sensor (적외선 영상센서를 이용한 스마트 터치 프로젝터 시스템 기술 연구)

  • Recently, very rapid development of computer and sensor technologies induces various kinds of user interface (UI) technologies based on user experience (UX). In this study, we investigate and develop a smart touch projector system technology on the basis of IR sensor and image processing. In the proposed system, a user can control computer by understanding the control events based on gesture of IR pen as an input device. In the IR image, we extract the movement (or gesture) of the devised pen and track it for recognizing gesture pattern. Also, to correct the error between the coordinate of input image sensor and display device (projector), we propose a coordinate correction algorithm to improve the accuracy of operation. Through this system technology as the next generation human-computer interaction, we can control the events of the equipped computer on the projected image screen without manipulating the computer directly.

Serious Game Design for Rehabilitation Training with Infrared Ray Pen (적외선 펜을 이용한 재활훈련 기능성 게임 콘텐츠 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a serious game which aims to draw the interest of rehabilitants and increase their locomotive ability with an infrared ray(IR) pen interface. The proposed game focuses on providing easy-to-manipulate cognitive rehabilitation environments. In order to achieve the goal, we devised new game interface composed of a Wiimote controller and a IR pen. Moreover, SVM(support vector machine) algorithm was employed for gesture recognition. The proposed game can be successfully utilized not only for rehabilitants but also for aged persons in preventing dementia and promoting their health.

  • 본 연구에서는 디스플레이 공간이 협소한 스마트 폰의 제약을 극복하고자 적외선 카메라를 이용한 입력 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안하는 방식의 특징은 기존의 사용자의 손이나 펜을 이용한 입력 방식이 아닌 카메라를 통해 적외선 펜의 위치를 인식하고 추적하여 입력 공간의 크기에 제약을 받지 않고 사용하는 방식이다. 실험 결과 기존의 스마트 폰의 터치스크린을 이용한 입력 방식보다 더욱 편리하고 효율적인 입력도구로 사용될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 최근 입력소자로 활용되는 터치스크린은 키보드나 마우스와 같은 입력장치를 사용하지 않고, 스크린에 손가락, 펜 등을 접촉하여 입력하는 방식이다. 터치패널의 구현방식에 따라 저항막(Resistive) 방식, 정전용량(Capacitive) 방식, SAW (Surface Accoustic Wave; 초음파) 방식, IR (Infrared; 적외선) 방식등으로 구분된다. 특히 최근 관심을 받고 있는 IR 방식은 적외선이 사람의 눈에는 보이지 않으나, 직진성을 가지고 있어 장애물이 있으면 차단되는 특성을 이용한 방식이다. IR방식의 터치패널은 발광(Light emitting)소자와 수광(Light detecting)소자가 마주하도록 배치되어 터치에 의해 차단된 좌표를 인식하게 되며, ITO 필름 등이 필요 없어 Glass 1장으로도 구현이 가능하며 투과율이 우수하다. 이러한 IR 방식의 터치패널을 제작하기 위하여 사용된 IR 광검출기는 광학적 band-gap이 작은 박막물질을 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 IR 광검출을 위한 물질로 SiGe를 co-sputtering 기법을 이용하여 성장시켰다. 일반적으로 SiGe 박막을 성장시키기 위하여 저압화학기상증착법(low pressure chemical vapor deposition, LPCVD)이나 고진공 LPCVD를 사용하지만 본 연구에서는 CVD에 비하여 무독성이면서 환경친화적이고 초기투자비용이 낮은 증착장비인 sputtering을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 성장된 SiGe 박막은 400$^{\circ}C$에서 rf plasma가 인가된 Ge과 dc plasma가 인가된 Si의 power를 조절하여 결정화도가 70% (Fig. 1)이고 결정성장방향이 (111)과 (220)방향으로 성장하는 SiGe 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 co-sputtering 성장조건에 따라 성장된 SiGe의 박막 특성을 논의할 것이다.

  • Interactions between the acetonitrile and other organic molecules such as furan, pyrrole, pyrrolidine, thiophene, tetrahydrothiophene and acetaldehyde was studied with the infrared absorption spectroscopy under matrix isolation conditions. Xe was used as a major matrix material. Acetonitrile showed strong interactions with pyrrole and thiophene, and little interactions with pyrrolidine and acetaldehyde.

Preparation of Conducting Polymer PEDiTT Thin Film Using SAM Method (자기조립법을 이용한 전도성고분자 PEDiTT박막의 제조)

  • thiathlophene (EDiTT) was synthesized. The yield of the synthesis was about 29%. The monomer was identified by using NMR, IR and UV/Vis spectroscopic methods. Poly (3,4-ethylenedithiathiophene) (PEDiTT) was prepared using this monomer and FeCl$_3$. The deep blue green color of the product was changed into brown color by the reduction with $N_2$H$_4$. This was soluble to common organic solvents. Spectroelectrochemistry was used to characterize the PEDiTT. NMP was the best solvent for PEDiTT. PEDiTT/NMP solution was used for making SAM type thin film of the polymer on gold electrode. Electrochemical and IR spectroscopic methods were used to identify the thin film.

  • Until now, many Computer Aided Education(CAE) contents are developed for kids and children with disabilities The contents cover various types of training, including visual perception training, intelligence development training, and literature education areas. Major problems on those contents are those contents requires long training time on desktop machine, which deteriorates human activities. These problems also cause inaction syndrome for young kids and children with disabilities. Solving this problem, we require a human motion sensing contents on touch screen or touch board, which interacts with a trainees and enhancing activity, collaboration and immersiveness. We implement and develope an education contents interacts with a trainee using beam projector or screen and IR(Infra-Red) pens using wiimote controller sensing technology.
