A Study on the Development of the Single Station Fixed Temperature Detector of Low Power Consumption for Residential Fire Prevention (주택화재 예방을 위한 저소비 전력형 단독경보형 정온식감지기 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a research and development result for the implementation of single station fixed temperature detector for residential fire prevention is described. The detector was developed for the certification in Japanese market because of very low domestic market situation. It is in the situation that there is no other regulation especially for residential detectors in Korea, Japanese case has been reviewed. Investigation of domestic legal circumstances and a comparative study for the test standard owned by KFI (Korea Institute of Fire Industry & Technology) and JFEII (Japan Fire Equipment Inspection Institute) respectively are also indicated. The detector alarms with a buzzer and an indicating LED. In the implementation ultra low power MCU(Micro Controller Unit) is applied to control the sleeping state and the monitoring state properly with low current consumption. To sense the temperature fast response thermistor is adopted in the design of fixed temperature residential detector. Automatic test function and alarm stop function are also considered in the design. The major factors which influence to current consumption are explained for the purpose of design reference. Main electronics circuit parts related to it's characteristics of the detector are described. It is explained that the measured current and experimental result of the battery discharge can be met over 10 years operation.

  • 최근의 휴대용 시스템에서는 디스플레이로 투과형 LCD를 주로 채택하고 있다. 투과형 LCD는 후면조명이 광원이 되는데, 후면조명(Backlight)의 소비전력이 시스템 전체 소비 전력에서 큰 비중을 차지한다. 우리는 화질의 큰 저하 없이 후면조명의 소비 전력을 줄이는 방법인 DLS를 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 DLS 구현과 구현한 플랫폼에서의 실험결과를 간단히 언급한다.

Low-Power Walking Trajectory Generation of Biped Robot and Its Realization (이족 로봇의 저전력 보행 궤적 생성 및 구현)

  • In this paper, a novel method is proposed for generating the low-power and stable walking trajectory of biped robots, and then a biped robot with 25 DOFs(degrees of freedom) is designed and implemented for the realization of the low-power walking trajectory generated by the proposed method. In our method, first a stable VPCG(vertically projected center of gravity) trajectory is generated, and then the trajectories of ankle and pelvis of a biped robot are planned to follow the preplanned stable VPCG trajectory, which produces a waking pattern without bending its knees and enables a biped robot to walk with less power consumption. On the other hand, a biped robot implemented in this paper has the mechanical structure of foot that enables a biped robot to support on the ground well, and the mechanical structure of pelvis that enables a biped robot to move flexibly. From results of the walking experiment and power consumption measurement, it was confirmed that the proposed method can generate the more stable and flexible trajectory with less power consumption compared with the existing methods which do not use the ankle of a biped robot.

  • The power consumption and performance of hardware-based mobile and IoT embedded systems that require high specifications are one of the important issues of these systems. In particular, the problem of excessive power consumption is because it causes a problem of increasing heat generation and shortening the life of the device. In addition, in the same environment, software also needs to perform stable operation in limited power and memory, thereby increasing power consumption of the device. In order to solve these issues, we propose a Low level power improvement via identifying performance dissipation. The proposed method identifies complex modules (especially Cyclomatic complexity, Coupling & Cohesion) through code visualization, and helps to simplify low power code patterning and performance code. Therefore, through this method, it is possible to optimize the quality of the code by reducing power consumption and improving performance.

Obstacle Avoidance Algorithm of Hybrid Wheeled and Legged Mobile Robot Based on Low-Power Walking (복합 바퀴-다리 이동형 로봇의 저전력 보행 기반 장애물 회피 알고리즘)

  • There are many researches to develop robots that improve its mobility to adapt in various uneven environments. In the paper, a hybrid wheeled and legged mobile robot is designed and a obstacle avoidance algorithm is proposed based on low power walking using LRF(Laser Range Finder). In order to stabilize the robot's motion and reduce energy consumption, we implement a low-power walking algorithm through comparison of the current value of each motors and correction of posture balance. A low-power obstacle avoidance algorithm is proposed by using LRF sensor. We improve walking stability by distributing power consumption and reduce energy consumption by selecting a shortest navigation path of the robot. The proposed methods are verified through walking and navigation experiments with the developed hybrid robot.

염분변화에 따른 황복의 산소소비와 암모니아 질소배설

  • 황복(Takifugus obscurus)은 주로 황해에 분포하며 봄철에 서해안으로 흐르는 금강, 한강 및 임진강으로 소상하여 강의 중상류에서 산란하는 소하성어류이다. 특히 황복은 바다와 하천을 오고 가는 관계로 해수뿐만 아니라 민물에서도 양식이 가능한 어종으로 다른 소하성어류와 마찬가지로 염분변화에 따른 삼투조절능력이 매우 우수할 것으로 생각된다. 본 연구는 황복이 급격히 염분을 달리하였을 때 나타나는 생리적 반응을 산소소비량과 암모니아 질소배설량의 변화로 염분변화에 따른 생리적 적응력을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구에 사용한 황복은 전장 10cm(체중 15~25g) 전후의 치어로서 염분 32, 22, 12, 및 2 ppt로 조절되어 있는 FRP수조(500 L)에서 2개월간 사육 후, 각기 염분을 달리한(32, 22, 12, 2 ppt) 호흡측정 장치에 황복을 수용하여 산소소비량과 암모니아 질소배설량을 측정하였다. 한편, 사육 시스템내에서의 산소소비와 암모니아 질소의 배설경향을 보기 위하여 염분 16ppt에서 산소소비량과 암모니아 질소배설량을 25시간 관찰하였다. 산소소비 경향은 대체로 염분이 낮을수록 높은 산소소비 경향을 보였는데, 실험염분 32ppt에서는 2~32ppt 사육군 모두 다른 실험염분(22, 12, 2 ppt) 사육군보다 안정되고 낮은 산소소비량을 나타내었다. 그리고 실험염분 22, 12 및 2 ppt에서는 각기 실험염분과 동일한 염분 사육군에서 가장 높은 산소소비량을 나타낸 반면 32 ppt 사육군은 모든 실험염분에서 가장 낮은 산소소비량을 나타내었다. 암모니아 질소의 배설경향은 실험염분 2 ppt를 제외하고는 2 ppt 사육군에서 가장 높은 질소 배설율을 보였으나, 실험염분 2 ppt에서는 오히려 현저히 낮은 암모니아 질소 배설율을 나타내었다. 저 염분(2, 12 ppt)에서 사육한 황복은 22 및 32 ppt에서 사육된 황복에 비해 저염분에 노출될 경우 삼투조절을 위해 암모니아 배설에 상당한 차이를 보였다. 사육 시스템내에서 조사된 산소소비와 암모니아 질소 배설경향은 섭이와 관련하여 일간리듬을 보였는데, 산소소비는 섭이 3시간 후에 최고를 보였으며 암모니아 질소 배설은 섭이 4시간 후에 각각 최고를 나타내었다.
