Scalable Re-detection for Correlation Filter in Visual Tracking

  • In this paper, we propose an scalable re-detection for correlation filter in visual tracking. In real world, there are lots of target disappearances and reappearances during tracking, thus failure detection and re-detection methods are needed. One of the important point for re-detection is that a searching area must be large enough to find the missing target. For robust visual tracking, we adopt kernelized correlation filter as a baseline. Correlation filters have been extensively studied for visual object tracking in recent years. However conventional correlation filters detect the target in the same size area with the trained filter which is only 2 to 3 times larger than the target. When the target is disappeared for a long time, we need to search a wide area to re-detect the target. Proposed algorithm can search the target in a scalable area, hence the searching area is expanded by 2% in every frame from the target loss. Four datasets are used for experiments and both qualitative and quantitative results are shown in this paper. Our algorithm succeed the target re-detection in challenging datasets while conventional correlation filter fails.

Controlled Low Strength Material for Emergency Restoration Using Bottom Ash and Gypsum (저회와 석고를 활용한 지반함몰 긴급복구용 고유동성 채움재 연구)

  • Recently the ground subsidence which seriously weakens the safety of cities tends to increase. The purpose of this paper is to develop the materials by using industrial by-products for the application to emergency restoration process in case of ground subsidence. In this paper the laboratory tests including pH test, initial setting test, unconfined compressive strength test, and flow test were performed in order to evaluate the design properties of Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM). The field test was carried out for evaluating the performance for the early strength of CLSM and the workability for emergency restoration. Test results showed that the strength will be too high to re-excavate the ground when the cement ratio is more than 4%. The optimum mixing ratio appears to be most effective when the mixing ratio of the bottom ash and the gypsum is approximately 50:50 and the cement content is 2%.

A Study on Fire Resistance of Abaca/Vinyl-ester Composites (마닐라 삼/비닐에스터 복합재료의 내화성 연구)

  • Eco-convivial composites with improved properties are essential to present polymer scenario and can be made easily by replacing partially/completely renewable materials either matrix or reinforcement along with few % of additives. In these investigations, Abaca fabric have been used as reinforcement for manufacturing of Vinyl ester composites through VARTM technique and study the effect of alkali surface treatment of abaca fabric and flame retardant additives i.e., ammonium polyphosphate (APP) with halloysite nano-clay (HNT) on mechanical and flame retardant properties. The results concluded that, surface treatment deceased the hydrophilic nature of fabric and enhanced the interfacial bonding with hydrophobic matrix and eventually increased mechanical properties slightly of developed composites. Similarly, the flame retardancy of the composites improved significantly and increases the burning time by varying the wt% of filler concentration.

  • This paper deals with the result of thermal resistance test with backfill materials as bottom ash by using backfill material. Bottom ash, one of coal ashes, can be reused to replace sand because of its similar engineering properties. But without considering the thermal property, the abuse of bottom ash resulted in damage for existing structures. To investigate the thermal conductivity of bottom ash, laboratory tests for thermal resistance of that were carried out in this study. Thermal properties of bottom ash was compared with those of in-situ soil, sand, backfill material which can be applied as filling material. The tests were classified by water contents defined as the major influence factor. The beneficial use method of bottom ash was suggested as backfilling material.

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce a method to predict the case thermal insulation charred and erosion thickness as a function of the exposure time to combustion gases and in solid rocket motors. The sizing of the insulator requires a good estimation of the thermal and mechanical loads at the wall. The method is particularly suitable for internal insulation areas subjected to high radiative, convective heat fluxes and $Al_2O_3$ slag pool. The mathematical approach and lab-scale experiment were intentionally simplified in order to obtain some simple and rapid relationships particularly useful for trade-off studies and thermal insulation preliminary design. The method was utilized to compute the charred and erosion thicknesses of the insulation on the aft chamber domes. A comparison between theoretical and experimental insulator char thicknesses of the motor insulation is reported, indicating the applicability of the predictive method employed.

  • Economic feasibility for retrofitting the wet bottom ash handling system to the dry system in a existing 500MW${\times}$2 units pulverized coal thermal power plant in Korea was studied. Replacing to the dry system requires the initial capital costs of 13,415,127,000\, and saves the operating costs of 935,345,000\ per year. Economic analyses based on these results showed that the initial capital cost would not be recovered within the service life of the facilities at the interest rate of 10%, and the internal rate of return of 5.6% were obtained. Thus, the retrofitting to the dry system was not economically favorable in the current condition. However, the retrofitting would be profitable when the ash disposal cost and ash selling price were increased over 15,000\/MT or 17,000\/MT, respectively.

  • 제주 지역은 대부분 지하수를 이용하고 있으며, 제주 서부지역의 경우, 지하수의 과다한 취수로 인해 지하수 하강은 물론 해수침투현상도 나타나고 있다.(제주미디어 2009.10) 제주지역의 지하수 적정 개발량은 약 97%에 이르고 있어 국지적으로는 지하수 개발이 한계에 이른 것으로 평가된다. 따라서, 농촌용수 공급을 위한 사업이 필요하며, 농업 환경 피해를 최소화할 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 또한 농촌지역의 도시화에 따라 하수처리장의 농촌지역에도 늘어가고 있으며 이제는 농촌지역과 도시지역이 구분되지 않고 혼합되어 있는 형태로 발전하고 있기 때문에 과거의 농업활동도 변화되고 있으며, 하천에서 취수하는 용수중에서 농업용수로의 사용이 부적합한 용수가 취수되고 있다. 따라서 하수처리수의 농업용수 재이용시스템과 같이 수처리를 이용한 농업용수의 공급방안이 확대될 것으로 판단된다. 한국농어촌공사 농어촌연구원에서는 (주)필로스, (주)블루인바이로먼트엔텍과 함께 글로벌탑 환경기술개발사업의 과제를 수행하고 있으며, 본 연구를 통하여, 고내구성 고기능성의 복합막 기능이 부여된 UF/NF 분리막 소재 및 모듈을 개발하고 전기분해/오존조합에 의한 에너지 절약형 재이용수 공정기술을 개발하여, 판포하수처리장을 Test-bed로 선정하여 개발 기술을 적용하고자 한다. 제주도 한경면 판포리에 위치한 판포하수처리장은 하수재이용 사업을 통해 수처리 및 용수 공급 관로가 설치되어 있으며, 개발한 재이용수를 현지에서 공급 활용할 수 있어, 연구개발에 국한되지 않고 실증 플랜트에서 용수 사용자까지 연결이 가능하여 최적의 입지 연건을 가지고 있다. 개발될 시스템은, 유입조, ECR 반응조, AOPs, 나노버블을 이용한 막세정 시스템, UF/NF 시스템으로 공정이 설계되며, 제염처리는 물론 제주지역의 농업용수로써 안정적인 용수를 확보할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하고 있다. 본 연구개발을 통한 최종 목표는 하수처리장의 방류수 고도처리를 통해 도시, 농촌지역에 필요한 고품질 맞춤형 재이용수로 공급하고, 국내 외 하수 재이용시장으로 진출하는데 있다.

Reduced Loads Characteristics Comparison Between Permeable Pavement and Non-point Pollutants Treatment Facility (투수성 포장재와 비점오염저감시설의 삭감부하량 특징 비교)

  • This study aimed to provide basic data for permeable pavement application upon design and installation stages by analyzing the effect of permeable pavement used on the facility area rather than using non-point pollutants treatment facility upon development business in accordance with recent trend. To perform this study, the area of development target was separately applied as impermeable and permeable developments so as to compare and analyze the economics of cut pollution load and installation construction cost. Consequently, the processing amount and cut load of non-point pollutant sources are influenced much by permeable and impermeable developments, and it was turned out to be better to develop target river area as permeable area rather than installing non-point pollutants treatment facility of equipment type or natural type upon development to yield smaller discharge load. If we can prepare a countermeasure regulating impermeable area ratio to certain level to manage non-point pollutants upon development based on this result, we can minimize the source of pollution caused by the development.

Preliminary Study on Development of High Strength Cement Composites at 2,000kg/㎥ of Specific Weight (단위중량 2,000kg/㎥급 고강도 시멘트 복합체 개발을 위한 기초연구)

  • This study explores manufacturing technology and basic properties of high strength cement composites at 2,000kg/㎥ of specific weight. It is suggested that lightweight-high strength cement composites can be produced by substituting silica sand in ulta-high performance concrete mixture with lightweight materials such as solid bubbles and lightweight fine aggregates. The 28-day compressive strengths of cement composites with solid bubbles were from 116MPa to 141MPa at below 2.0g/㎤ of unit density while the cement composites with lightweight aggregates possessed lower compressive strength and higher unit density. The specific weight calculated from mixture proportions did not have significant difference with unit density of hardened cement composites, indicating that unit density of hardened cement composites can be estimated from the specific weight in mixture proportions.

  • 본 연구에서는 건설CALS/EC 기반의 정보화 추진을 위한 정보시스템을 개발할 때 적용되는 기존의 소프트웨어 개발방법론의 문제점을 분석하고, 표준화되지 않은 개발방법론의 적용으로 시스템 개발에 비효율적인 비용을 투자하는 문제점과 특성상 입찰, 구매, 계약 등 분야별로 상이한 기능의 업무에 따라 구축되는 건설산업 정보화에 있어서 상호간에 데이터 및 프로세스를 원활히 통합하지 못하므로 인하여 발생되는 개발의 중복성, 정보 활용의 비효율성 등의 문제점을 개선하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 최근 새로이 부각되고 있는 방법론인 컴포넌트 기반 개발방법론(CBD: Component-Based Development)을 사용하여 건선CALS/EC 표준지침 웹서비스를 위한 시스템의 업무프로세스를 모델링하여 사용자가 쉽게 재사용가능하고 타업무분야에 확대 가능한 방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 기존의 소프트웨어 개발 방법론의 적용상 문제점 분석을 통하여 컴포넌트 기반 개발방법론의 필요성을 증명하고 비즈니스 컴포넌트 프레임워크를 사용하여 건설 CALS/EC 표준지침 웹서비스의 업무프로세스에 적용할 기술적인 방법론을 고찰하고 업무에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 업무프로세스 컴포넌트를 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 컴포넌트 모델은 향후 타업무분야의 시스템을 개발할 때 사용자요구분석 단계부터 별도의 재 작업이 없이 사용될 수 있으며 시스템을 구현할 때 개발 모듈의 중복방지와 용이한 비즈니스로직의 변경 등이 가능하며, 추가의 업무 프로세스나 연관된 다른 분야의 업무프로세스의 반영 및 추가 시 컴포넌트의 활동모델을 쉽게 수정하여 정의함으로써 쉽게 시스템의 기능을 확장할 수 있다.LE 산정에 관한 지속적인 실험적 연구가 이루어져야 하겠다. 증가할 것이다. 또한 부분육을 이용한 완전제품, 적색육제품, 유기농이나 별미식 제품과 같은 형태의 다양한 포장육 제품이 도입 될 것으로 생각되어진다.e in vitro SPF test method will be able to be used as an alternative method for in vivo SPF in case of lotion and cream. replica.
