  • The fourth Industrial Revolution is transforming the industrial structure of the region, and it is necessary to develop new industries and technologies that reflect regional characteristics. The purpose of this study is to measure the knowledge relatedness and technological complexity in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and to identify technologies with potential for regional industrial differentiation strategies. Using patent data from 2015 to 2019, co-occurrence matrices were derived from 652 IPC codes, and the knowledge relatedness density and technology complexity index were calculated. Network analysis was performed using the knowledge relatedness density. As a result of analysis, it was found that mechanical engineering occupied a large proportion, followed by chemistry and electrical engineering. As a result of applying the risk-benefit framework to derive technologies with the potential to differentiate local industries, the technological capabilities of low-risk-high-benefit were different. Among mechanical engineering, technologies such as engine, machine operation, and transportation were included in Busan. In Ulsan, environmental technology in chemical and materials, and heat treatment technology in mechanical engineering were technologies with low-risk and high-benefit capabilities. Gyeongnam showed competence in mechanical engineering, chemistry, and electrical engineering in some areas such as Gimhae, Yangsan, and Changwon. The results of this study are meaningful in that they identified technologies with potential for selecting and deriving strategic industries for regional growth based on latent knowledge in the region.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of interest that common Internet users have in dental implant using a Google Trends, and to compare the level of interest with big data from National Health Insurance Service. Materials and methods: Google Trends provides a relative search volume for search keywords, which is the average data that visualizes the frequency of searches for those keywords over a specific period of time. Implant was selected as the search keyword to evaluate changes in time flows of general Internet users' interest from 2015 to 2019 with trend line and 6 month moving average. Relative search volume for implant was analyzed with the number of patients who received National Health Insurance coverage for implant. Interest in implant and conventional denture was compared and popular related search keywords were analyzed. Results: Relative search volume for implant has increased gradually and showed a significant positive correlation with the total number of patients (P<.01). Interest in implant was higher than denture for most of the time. Keywords related to implant cost were most frequently observed in all years and related search on implant procedure was increasing. Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study, the public interest in dental implant was gradually increasing and specific areas of interest were changing. Web-based Google Trends data was also compared with traditional data and significant correlation was confirmed.

  • The incidence of Anthracnose causing severe damage to the foliage and fruit in watermelon has increased in some major watermelon producing areas in Korea. To develop anthracnose resistant line, 'AU-Producer' having resistant gene to anthracnose was selected from germplasm and crossed with high quality line '920533'. Following the initial cross, backrossing and disease screening were performed to select resistant lines that produced high yields with excellent quality fruit. As a results of these procedure, a mid maturing watermelon line, 'Hangyeol' with resistance to anthracnose (Colletotrichum orbiculare) race 1 and 3 was developed at the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science, Rural Development Administration (RDA). It has red flesh and commonly produces fruit with clear stripes on skin between 5.3 to 10.1 kg. Average soluble solid contents are ranged from 9.8 to 11.8$^{\circ}$Bx. The yield and quality of 'Hangyeol' is comparable to or better than those harvested from the popular commercial cultivars. The achievement of this experiment could contribute to provide the resistant parents in an anthracnose resistance breeding program in watermelon.

  • Anthracnose is a major limiting factor of the watermelon production in Korea. A mid-late maturing watermelon line, 'Hanbit' with resistance to anthracnose (Colletotrichum orbiculare) race 1 and 3, was developed by the cross between anthracnose resistant cultivar 'AU-Producer' and high quality inbred line '920533' at the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science, Rural Development Administration (RDA). 'Hanbit' produces 5.4 to 9.5 kg of red flesh fruits with clear stripes on skin. Average soluble solid contents are ranged from 10.4 to 11.2$^{\circ}$Bx. The yield and quality of 'Hanbit' was comparable to or better than those harvested from the popular commercial cultivars. 'Hanbit' can be cultivated in open fields and under the protected green house condition. In addition to the commercial production, it can be used as a resistant material in $F_1$ hybrid breeding program.

  • The consumption of beverages among children is rising. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of kid's drink on dental resin-based pit and fissure sealant. Pororo, I-kicker, Sunkist kids were included in the experimental groups, and Samdasu was included in the control group. A conventional dental sealant material ($Clinpro^{TM}Sealant^{(R)}$) was selected for this study. Resin specimens (8 mm in diameter and 1 mm in thickness) were prepared according to manufacturers' instructions and the initial roughness (Ra) was then measured. The pH of all the four groups was measured using a pH meter. The specimens were individually immersed in 5 ml of the experimental solutions and stored at $37^{\circ}C$ for 72 hours. Following this, the surface roughness of the resin specimens was measured by Surftest. The concentration of residual monomer released was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The surface morphology of the resin specimen was evaluated before and after storage by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Data were statistically analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis and Duncan's test. The results showed that all the children's beverages examined in this study contained citric acid. The pH of I-kicker was the lowest ($3.03{\pm}0.01$), followed by that of Sunkist kids ($3.26{\pm}0.02$) and Pororo ($3.47{\pm}0.02$). We observed an increase in the surface roughness of resin specimens after 72 h of immersion in all the beverages tested (p<0.05). There was matrix degradation after immersion, visualized on SEM image, in all the beverage groups. Bisphenol-A-glycidyl methacrylate was not detected after 72 hours, but triethylene glycol dimethacrylate levels were increased in all the beverages tested during the 72 hours by HPLC. These results suggest that intake of beverages containing acid can cause degradation of the resin-based pit and fissure sealants in children.

  • The purpose of this study was to obtain basic data necessary for making a nuruk salt by comparing and analyzing the ingredients of various nuruk salts, and to select a nuruk salt that meets the users' needs. We selected the types of nuruk as the ihwaguk, miinguk, baekguk, and koji to identify the characteristics of the nuruk, and then analyzed the chemical characteristics after manufacturing the nuruk salts under the same conditions of fermentation, such as material ratio and temperature. In the manufacture of nuruk salt, the pH level dropped from 6.2~6.5 before fermentation to 6.1~6.2 three days after fermentation. The Acidity increased from 0.16~0.18 before fermentation to 0.22~0.25 after fermentation and there was no difference between the nuruk. The sugar content has risen since fermentation, and nuruk salt made by koji showed the largest increase in the sugar content. The salinity of the nuruk salt was raised to 37~44 after fermentation from 30~32 before fermentation and indicated largest increase in nuruk salt made by koji. Organic acids of nuruk salt were detected in the order of acetic acid, oxalic acid, malic acid, lactic acid, and citric acid. The oxalic acid of the baekguk salt was found to be 0.77 mg/mL, 2.3 times more of the koji, and the succinic acid was also found to be the highest with 1.19 mg/mL. Malic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid, and citric acid were found to have the highest amount of koji salt at 0.29 mg/mL, 1.48 mg/mL, and 0.12mg/mL, respectively, making it a better taste to be soft than other nuruk salt.

  • A construction of infrastructures and base station on the moon could be undertaken by linking with the regions where construction materials and energy could be supplied on site. It is necessary to detect craters on the lunar surface and gather their topological information in advance, which forms permanent shaded regions (PSR) in which rich ice deposits might be available. In this study, an effective method for automatic detection of lunar craters on the moon surface is taken into consideration by employing a latest version of deep-learning algorithm. A training of a deep-learning algorithm is performed by involving the still images of 90000 taken from the LRO orbiter on operation by NASA and the label data involving position and size of partly craters shown in each image. the Faster RCNN algorithm, which is a latest version of deep-learning algorithms, is applied for a deep-learning training. The trained deep-learning code was used for automatic detection of craters which had not been trained. As results, it is shown that a lot of erroneous information for crater's positions and sizes labelled by NASA has been automatically revised and many other craters not labelled has been detected. Therefore, it could be possible to automatically produce regional maps of crater density and topological information on the moon which could be changed through time and should be highly valuable in engineering consideration for lunar construction.

  • Korean wave 3.0 is focused on 'K-Culture' which includes traditional culture, cultural art as well as existing culture contents as a keyword. It considers everything about Korean culture as materials of Korean wave culture contents. Since Korean wave culture contents reflect contemporary social aspect, it needs to preserve those contents as archives and records which have the important value of evidence. With this social environment, this study aims to implement RMS based on AtoM that manages various kinds of Korean wave culture contents through analysis of management situation of those materials. Recently, it is in progress individually to manage them through organizations dealing with korean cultures such as K-Pop, K-Food, K-Movie. However, it has problems in accumulating information and reproducing high quality contents because of lack of coordination among organizations. To solve the problems, this study proposed RMS based on open source software Access to Memory(AtoM) for managing and recording Korean wave culture contents. AtoM provides various functions for managing records and archives such as accumulation, classification, description and browsing. Furthermore AtoM is for free as open source software and easy to implement and use. Thus, this study implemented RMS based on AtoM to methodically manage korean wave culture contents by functional requirements of RMS. Also, this study considered contents relating K-Food as an object to collect, classify, and describe. To describe it, this study selected ISAD(G) standard.
