Employment effectiveness is significantly influenced by demo-sociological factor rather than disability factor. Especially the kind of train-center is very important to be employed for the disabled. This implicates that choice of train-center by the disabled and effective management of it by the public sector is very important in developing employment. • This study analyzed various machine learning models that predict employment outcomes after vocational training using pre-assessment data of disabled vocational trainees. The study selected and utilized the most appropriate machine learning models based on a data set containing various personal characteristics, including trainees' gender, age, and type of disability. Through this analysis, the goal is to improve the employment rate and job satisfaction of disabled trainees using only pre-assessment data. As a result, it presents a universal approach that can be applied not only to people with disabilities, but also to vocational trainees from a variety of backgrounds. This is expected to make an important contribution to the development and implementation of tailored vocational training programs, ultimately helping to achieve better employment outcomes and job satisfaction.

  • This paper proposes a method of identifying the moment when a student with developmental disabilities needs assistance intervention in performing barista vocational training using virtual reality-based realistic contents. To this end, 21 students enrolled in a vocational training center for persons with disabilities were selected as study subjects. These students were trained to recognize the barista tools in a virtual reality environment. During the training, if students experienced difficulties and were unable to proceed further, they were asked to raise their hands or verbally request assistance. Using the collected data, two hypotheses were established based on the distance between the hand of the student and each barista tool in the virtual reality space in order to derive a criterion for judging the moment when an intervention is required. As a result of verifying the hypotheses, this study found that the cumulative distance from the hand of a student, who successfully finished the training without requiring an intervention, to the target barista tool as well as adjacent tools was significantly shorter than the cumulative distance to other barista tools.

  • For people with disabilities, getting a job makes it possible to advocate their own human rights, to improve their self-esteem and self-efficacy, to narrow economic, psychological and social divide between them and those without disabilities and ultimately to attain social integration. According to recent statistical data, there was an increase in the weight of people with disabilities, but their economic activities were on the wane, and it's required to explore what curbs the employment of people with disabilities to find feasible solutions. The purpose of this study was to examine influential factors for the economic activities of people with disabilities. The subjects in this study were the selected people with disabilities in the metropolitan area, on whom a survey was conducted to make an empirical analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: The people with disabilities engaged in less economic activities when they were basic livelihood security recipients, when they were older, and when they were female. And those who underwent job training and who were certified technicians were more likely to participate in economic activities. Therefore differentiated policy setting is required to boost the economic activities of people with disabilities after their general characteristics, characteristics as human resources and characteristics related to vocational training are carefully analyzed. As for general characteristics, whether they are basic livelihood security recipients or not should be considered to assess the degree of their poverty, and their gender, age and presence or absence of spouses should all be taken into account. In terms of vocational training, their certificates and job training experience should be investigated.

  • The research regarding employees' job satisfaction is one of the most important indicators of their vocational adjustment or outcome. The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of job satisfaction of South Korean masseurs with visual impairments and what variables predict to this. The work satisfaction model of Social Cognitive Career Theory (Lent Brown, 2006a) was grounded. a total of 221 South Korean masseurs with visual impairments participated in this study. Multiple regression analysis indicated that as masseurs in this study experienced having a better fit with their job regarding their monetary aspects, as they felt efficacious with their massage skills, as they felt more positive, and as they considered their job duties fit their education or skills they learned, their level of job satisfaction was higher. However, fit with their organization values or cultures or how much they get social support from their family, friends, or significant others did not predict their job satisfaction. In addition, the analysis supported the existence of a moderating effect of positive affect on the relationship between subjective fit and job satisfaction, in addition to the moderating effect of social support on the relationship between work related self-efficacy and job satisfaction among study participants. Implications for policy makers, researchers, and career counselors were also provided.
