This study was conducted to find a task to adjust the conflict situation by categorizing and analyzing the recent cases of library book censorship and analyzing the field perception on the subject of library book censorship. Therefore, recent cases of book censorship were categorized into four categories: political, legal, sexuality, and sex crime. As a result of the study, 44.5% of the respondents who answered that the restriction on access to books related to sex crimes was not a library censorship or that it was difficult to judge. It showed the perception that this issue is not an issue that can be easily decided by book censorship. Meanwhile, as a result of a survey of librarians, there was an opinion that there was a need for restrictions on collecting or reading at the library site for various reasons, and eventually showed a gap from the code of ethics for librarians against all censorship, showing the need to make efforts to reconcile such conflicts in the future.

In this study, we analyzed Circulation data of Law library in the S university for one year in 2018 and analyzed whether the Library holdings are actually used for education and research. First of all, this study analyzed user patterns by analyzing subjects, languages, and publication years for books that were circulated for one year from the ALMA system which is an S university library system. In addition, we analyzed how the current library holdings were used or cited in course syllabi and research papers written by members in S university. The results from this study can be used as an important basic data for effective collection development.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the development direction of future scholarship by analyzing recent research trends in collection development and management field using keyword network analysis. Data was collected from four journals in library and information science field during period of 2003 to 2017. Related articles of Collection Development and Management field were retrieved, and author keywords were extracted from selected papers. Keyword network analysis using NetMiner4 program was performed based on frequency analysis, connection-centered analysis, and parametric analysis. The analysis covers all sections from 2003 to 2017 to look at the changes in research over time, and three sections on five-year basis. As a result, main keywords such as 'open access', 'institutional repository' and 'academic journals' were identified, and topics to be continuously researched were identified.

Since the recent financial crisis in universities has caused the decrease of academic library budget, the resource sharing has been considered by utilizing inter-library loan (ILL) data for solving the financial deficit. This study aims to identify the collection profiles of western monographs' ILL data among 4-year academic libraries. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, this study analyzes ILL data from 2011 to 2017 using the bibliographic data and ILL transactions of the KERIS union catalog. The findings of the study show that the western monographs was significantly provided by large-scale academic libraries in 2011, however, the extent of major regions expanded, and the number of influential institutions rose in 2016. Second, in 2012, the influence in the ILL network increased in the quantity of western monographs holdings and the proportion of common collections. On the other hand, in 2016, it was also shown that the influence in terms of provision in the ILL network increased in the proportion of unique collections. Lastly, the ILL participating academic libraries were classified into six clusters by a hierarchical clustering analysis of holdings and ILL indexes.

This study analyzed the library's library development policy at home and abroad, established basic principles and guidelines for the library's library development policy, and proposed details of the library's library development policy. In this study, the vision of the supreme court library was established as an open legal and judicial information center that provides services to the public at the eyes of the general public, as well as a representative law library that focuses The five basic directions for establishing a book development policy to realize this vision are as follows: 1) Book development centered on mission and responsibility as a national representative legal library, 2) Development of books as an open legal/judicial information center for public service, 3) The development of books in line with the changing times and information environment, 4) Development of books by subject and language considering the characteristics of the court library, 5) Development of a collection, preservation, and disposal of data based on consistency and systematicity. It is expected that systematic or strategic book development can be promoted through the development of books in the court library based on policy documents.

The study aims to discuss on legal prospects of digital collections' fair use through an analysis of treaties and legislations domestic and international. Based on analysis of leading researches and literature, it discusses legal principles of fair use and defines digital collections' concept and types. For understanding the actual legal system on fair use, limitations and exceptions of copyrights which are presented in treaties, such as 'Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works' and'Copyright Convention', each nation's laws, and judicial precedents. Especially, a legal dispute between 'Technische $Universit{\ddot{a}}t$ Darmstadt' and Eugen Ulmer KG, which debates on library's rights for digitizing their collections without the rightholder's permission, is analyzed. As a result, this study analyzes its implications for the improvement of the existing copyright system in Korea.

The main objective of this study is to set a Collection Development Policy(CDP) for the National Library for Children and Young Adults(NLCY). Every library, in order to accomplish its duty, should maintain a written collection development policy. This paper, in this regard, strives to propose a model to comprise of basic principles of collection development of NLCY for the effective management of resources by the types and subjects. Major emphasis was put on the nature of the library as a repository and a service point for children and young adults, and a hub for children-related research. As a result, a model collection development policy appropriate for NLCY has been proposed by analyzing cases in other countries to guide establishing principles for determining and analyzing the types and magnitude of the collection acquisition.

Currently, collections with public libraries are evaluated only on the basis of simple data, such as the use volume of collections with individual libraries, and interlibrary lending (ILL) results. To promote the ILL of regional libraries and raise the use of collections, however, the evaluation of collections should be expanded from individual libraries to regional libraries. This study aims to propose user-oriented methods for evaluating the library collections within a regional library system by using four kinds of data: collection, acquisition, circulation, and ILL application data. The results of this study show that the proposed method can reveal the positions of each library within a regional library system, and also the characteristics of a library's collections and users' needs more precisely.

In most countries, public libraries play a role as a knowledge and information hub for local communities, a complex cultural space, and a third place for meetings and communication. Among the work of public libraries for this purpose, the key point is systematic collection development, and the established collection is essential for all knowledge and information services. In particular, local representative libraries must perform legal duties as a comprehensive knowledge information center for metropolitan governments, and develop, preserve, and service specialized collections that are difficult for other public libraries. Therefore, we analyzed the development cases of specialized collections of public libraries in large cities in foreign countries and local representative libraries in Korea, surveyed the degree of awareness of specialized collections for employees of public libraries and the cultural to geography in Gyeongbuk region. Based on the background information, this study proposed the development plan and establishment strategy of the Gyeongbuk Library specialized collection, which was named "Gyeongbuk Knowledge and Cultural Heritage."

The collections of university libraries such as books in academic disciplines and dissertations are much used to support education of students and research activities of faculty members. Most of such materials naturally contain unique terms frequently and exclusively used in specific academic disciplines. Therefore, it is possible to infer the latest research trend in or correlations among various disciplines by analyzing those terms. In this study, the trend was analyzed by extracting technical terms from the metatadata for collections in the field of computer science of two university libraries in Korea. By comparing these terms with the trend of terms which appeared in dissertations and domestic scholarly articles, the relation between collections of university libraries and research trend in this particular academic field was analyzed.
