  • In this study, various unsaturated polyester (UPE) resins were prepared from the condensation polymerization of mixtures of saturated (isophthalic acid : IPA) and unsaturated (maleic anhydride : MA) dibasic acids with propylene glycol (PG), neopentyl glycol (NPG). The critical surface tension (Υ$_{c}$) for the surface characteristics of a solid were estimated by Zisman plot, and the structure-property relationship was investigated by measuring the rheology of resins. The values of Υ$_{c}$ for glass of solid were 30.5 mNㆍm$^{-1}$ for UPE resin liquids. As the content of NPG in a PG/NPG glycol mixture increased, both the contact angle and the surface tension of the UPE resin liquids were found to decrease. The dynamic viscoelasticities of UPE resins with different glycol molar ratios were also measured. Shear rate dependence of viscosity and angular frequency dependence of storage, and loss modulus tended to decrease with increasing NPG content.

Study on the effect of cable on the lateral behavior of S-shaped Pedestrian-CSB (S형 보도사장교의 케이블이 횡방향 거동에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • Recently, CSB(Cable-Stayed Bridge) have been attempted to be atypical forms for landscape elements in Korea. CSB with new geometry need to analyze their characteristics clearly to ensure structural safety. This study's bridge is the S-shaped curved pedestrian CSB that has a girder with S-shape plane curve and reverse triangular truss cross section, inclined independent pylon, modified Fan type main cable and vertical backstay cable. Curved CSB can have excessive lateral displacement and moment when the tension is adjusted, focusing only on longitudinal behavior, such as a straight CSB. In order to analyze the effect of the cable on the lateral behavior of bridges, the cable is divided into two groups according to the lateral displacement direction of the pylon due to tension. The influence of the combination ratio of GR1 and GR2 on the girder, bearing, pylon, and vertical anchor cable was analyzed. When the tension applied to the bridge is 1.0GR1 plus 1.0GR2, In the combination of 1.2GR1 plus 0.8GR2, the stress on the left and right upper member of the truss girder and the deviation of the both were minimized. In addition, the horizontal force of the bearing, the lateral displacement and moment of the pylon, and the tension of the vertical backstay cable also decreased. This study is expected to be used as basic data for determination of tension of CSB with similar geometry.

  • 남북한 간의 전철 전력 설비의 연계 혹은 개량은 다양한 문제점이 발생이 가능하고 각종 기준 및 레벨의 차이가 심각하다. 따라서, 북한의 전기설비의 개량을 위한 전철 전력설비의 노후도 진단기술, 전압안전성 평가, 상호연계를 위한 시뮬레이션, 안전기준 마련등 광범위한 분야의 실용적 접근이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 남북 및 대륙철도의 실용주의적 접근을 위하여 인프라 분야인 전철 분야의 표준화 방향에 대하여 기술하였다. 이를 위하여 북한 전철 설비의 전압, 지지물, 브래키트, 급전선, 조가선, 전차선, 장력조정장치, 조가방식, 전차선높이, 가고를 각각 분석 하였다.

모터내장형 주축의 동특성 해석

  • 현재 대부분의 공작기계에서는 모터의 동력을 주축으로 전달하기 위해서 커플링, 밸트,기어 등을 사용하고 있지 만 주축이 고속회전할 수록 커플링 구동방법에서는 주축과 모터의 미스얼라인먼트에 의한 진동과 소음이 커지고 벨트 구동방법에서는 원심력에 의한 벨트 장력의 증가 및 벨트의 파손현상, 벨트와 풀리간의 미끄럼현상 등이 발생하며, 기거 구동방법에서는 기어간의 금속접촉에 의한 진동과 소음이 증대하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 모터내장형 주축의 동특성을 체계적으로 해석하기 위해서 유한요소모델을 도입하였다. 특히 공작기계 주축은 세장비가 비교적 작기 때문에 Timoshenko보 이론으로 모델화하였고, 여러장의 얇은 철심용 강판들도 적층된 내장형 모터의 회전부(rotor)는 굽힘변형 및 전단변형에 대해서 상당 수준의 강성효과를 나타내기 때문에 질량효과 외에도 그 강성효과를 수학적 모델에서 고려하였다, 또한 진동실험 결과로 부터 모터회전부의 강성특성을 규명하는 방법을 제시하였으며, 제안된 규명방법의 유용성은 모터내장형 주축에 대한 모드매개변수의 이론값과 실험값을 비교함으로써 입증하였다.

  • This paper presents examples of trolley wire resistance influential on the movement of tensioning devices. Therefore, this study is on the examples of trolley wire resistance which keep tensioning devices from working properly to the expansion and contraction in accordance with temperature change of overhead trolley wire system such as messenger wire and contact wire. Trolley wire resistance interrupts the working of tensioning device and drops the capacity of trolley wire. Reduced trolley wire capacity lowers the performance of current collection and has a bad effect on electrical train operation. So it is desirable to reduce the factors increasing trolley wire resistance to the minimum from the designing and construction stage of overhead trolley wire system. This study will introduce this problem and suggest the solution.

경부기관절제 및 단단문합술

  • 저자들은 최근 4년간 11례에서 기관절제 및 단단문합술을 사용하였기에 그 치료 결과를 살펴보고 치료적용의 범위를 넓혀보고자 한다. 대상은 후두-기관협착증 2례, 기관협착증 8례, 갑상선암 1례로 총 11례였으며 이중 3례에서 기관-식도누공이 동반되어 있었다. 술후 발거가 가능했던 경우는 8례였으며 발거가 불가능했던 경우는 술전에 이미 양측성대마비가 있던 경우 l례, 문합부위 아래에 새로운 협착 부위가 생겼던 1례, 기관 연골의 과도한 결손이 있었던 경우가 1례 있었다. 합병증으로 창상감염 1례, 육아조직 3례의 경우는 치료되었으며 양측성대마비가 있던 경우는 편측성대절제를 하여 관찰 중이다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 기관절제 및 단단문합술이 실패한 경우는 2례로 술전 동반질환의 정확한 검사 및 절제부위의 국소화, 수술시 문합부위의 장력을 최소화하여 시행한다면 합병증은 비교적 받아들일만 하며 비교적 성공율도 기대할 만한 술식으로 여겨졌다.

A Development of Pulley-type Tensioning Device for a High Speed Railway (고속용 풀리형식 장력조정장치 개발)

  • In the electrical railway, the tension ascension of contact wire is essential to speed up of train and current collection performance of catenary largely depends on the tension. The tension variation rate of the tensioning device used in existing line limits within 5%, and the tension variation rate of the spring-type tensioning device installed at the section where tensioning length is short bounds within 15%. So it is urgent for us to localize it for high speed line, which the tension variation rate is limited within 3%. Therefore in this study, a pulley-type tensioning device for high speed line is developed. To verify the performance of developed device, a performance test, overload test and failure test is carried out under the code of the Kyung-Bu High Speed line. And it is secured durability performance through a fatigue test.

Synthesis and Property Evaluation of Cationic Gemini Surfactants Using 1,4-Butanediol (1,4-부탄디올을 이용한 양이온 제미니 계면활성제의 합성 및 물성 평가)

  • In this study, cationic gemini surfactants were synthesized by increasing the length of the hydrophobic chain and using 1,4-butanediol as a spacer, and the result was confirmed by $^1H-NMR$. The synthesized surfactant was a white powder, and Kraffts point was below $0^{\circ}C$. Surface tension measurements revealed that the evaluated critical micelle concentration (c.m.c) was $1.8{\times}10^{-3}{\sim}6.5{\times}10^{-4}mol/L$ with a surface tension of 22.5~26.1 dyne/cm at the c.m.c. The initial foam height for CG 14-6E-14 estimated by Ross-Miles method was 16 cm and after 5 minutes the height was 14 cm. It was confirmed that the initial foam force and foam stability were the highest. The foam test and emulsion stability of synthesized gemini cationic surfactants were also compared to those of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), a commoly used surfactant.

  • The automatic tensioning device of the catenary system constantly maintains the tension of the trolley wire by absorbing the variations due to the elasticity of the line caused by temperature variation. The tension plays an important role in affecting the electric motorcar operation directly. This paper suggests the methodology of the life cycle extension and the maintenance of the automatic tensioning device by means of performance diagnosis of the pulley type automatic tensioning device which has been commonly used for the electric railway system. Through conducting performance diagnosis and comparative test for the wornout pulley type automatic tensioning device by replacing the components such as the bearing and the bearing shaft without replacing all the assembly, the tensioning device is analyzed whether it is properly functioned. Provided that the maintenance regulation is reinforced so as to implement the bearing replacement through periodical precise inspection along with random check-up inspection which is now carried out by the operating organizations, it is ensured that the life cycle extension and the reduction of maintenance cost of the tensioning device could be achieved.

Development of a Tensioning Device for the 400km/h High-speed Overhead Contact Line (400km/h급 전차선로용 장력조정장치 개발)

  • The pulley-type tensioning device subjected to a maximum tension of 34 kN has been developed for 400 km/h high-speed railway. The tensioning device is to maintain the tension variation within 3% of the normal value, irregardless of temperature changes. Field tests shows that the tensioning device had a variation of tension which was as small as 0.6% as temperatures changed from $-5{\sim}7^{\circ}C$. Along with the tensions, we measured its X and Y movements due to the temperature changes. Based on a combination of its X and Y movements, we proposed a new performance index with which we can see if the tensioning device has troubles in operation without tension measurements.
