The Effects of Business Startup Attributes on Customer Orientation and Business Startup Performance in the Foodservice Industry (외식산업 창업속성이 고객지향성 및 창업성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to figure out the effects of business startup attributes on customer orientation and business startup performance in the foodservice industry. To achieve this, a survey was carried on 300 entrepreneurs, who are running 5 or more years of restaurants in Seoul, through February 1 to February 28, 2013. The SPSS v. 17.0 statistical package program was used for data analysis. The results were as follows; First, the effect of business startup attributes on the understanding of customers' desires in the foodservice industry showed that business startup funds, business startup location, business startup facilities and business startup products had a significant positive effect on the understanding of customers' desires. Second, the effect of business startup attributes on customer relationship in the foodservice industry showed that business startup funds, business startup facilities and business startup products had a significant positive effect on the customer relationship. Third, the effect of customer orientation on business startup performance in the foodservice industry showed that the understanding of customers' desires and customer relationship had a significant positive effect on the business startup performance. These results suggest that business startup funds, business startup location, business startup facilities and business startup products in the foodservice industry are important, and the customer-oriented understanding of customers' desires and close adherence to customers lead to ultimate performance, supporting a stable management in the long term.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that customers perceive as important relationship investment in the relationship efforts provided by retailers for customer relationship purposes and to explain the mediating role of relationship quality such as trust, relationship commitment in the relationship perceived relationship investment and relationship performance. For this study, 270 respondents were surveyed and data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 20.0 statistical package. Statistical analysis tools, such as SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 20.0 were utilized for ensuring the validity and the reliability, whereas the SEM method was used for testing the research hypothesis. The results of study are as follows. Financial efforts and structural efforts have affected perceived relationship investment. Perceived relationship investment affected trust and relationship commitment but not loyalty. Trust influenced relationship commitment and loyalty whereas relationship commitment did not affect loyalty. Therefore, it is important for retail marketing managers to provide tangible rewards and special benefits at all times in order to recognize that they are doing the best service efforts for customer relations. In order to secure long-term and stable profits by establishing a relationship with them, the service marketing strategies should be promoted to enhance the relationship quality by raising the level of trust.

국가간 기술혁신 파급경로에 관한 실증분석

  • 본 연구는 기술혁신파급경로를 결정하는 국가 간 무역역할에 대한 실증적인 분석을 목적으로 한다 이 연구목적을 위하여, 최근 자료인 1980년부터 2003년까지 15개 OECD국가를 대상으로 자국의 기술혁신을 결정하는 중요한 변수로 알려진 자국 R&D축적 및 무역대상국의 R&D축적자료를 구축하였으며, 이를 무역지수인 쌍방간에 수출 및 수입량을 경제규모로 나눈 가중지수를 이용하여 유입된 R&D축적량을 구축하였다. 또한 대상변수들의 기술혁신파급역할에 대하여 최근 논의되고 있는 비정상적 패널기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 최근 제안되고 있는 비정상적 패널기법을 이용하여 국제 간에 기술혁신파급경로를 분석한 결과를 간단하게 요약하면, 다음과 같다. 첫째, 분석대상변수들은 비정상성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 그러나 장기적으로 분석대상변수들이 서로 균형상태를 나타내는 공적분관계에 있음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 국가 간에 기술혁신파급경로의 방향과 정도를 파악하기 위하여 패널 공적분계수를 추정하였으나, 설정함수형태에 따라서 여러 가지 상반된 실증결과가 나타났다. 따라서 기존 연구Coe et al., 1995, Keller, 1998, Kao, et al., 1999 그리고 Funk, 2001]의 분석결과 및 그 시사점들이 서로 다른 이유는 분석대상변수들의 선택차이뿐만 아니라, 기술혁신경로에 대한 설정함수형태에 따라서 서로 다른 분석결과가 나타날 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다. 본 연구에서 나타난 분석결과의 시사점을 보면, 국가 간에 기술혁신파급경로분석은 기술혁신파급을 결정하는 매개변수선정도 중요하지만, 결정된 설명변수들 사이에 어떤 기술혁신파급에 관한 연관관계가 존재하는지에 대한 실증분석 즉 파급경로분석도 매우 중요함을 보여준다. 이러한 파급경로분석에는 기존의 선형가정뿐만 아니라 비선형가정을 이용한 기술파급경로분석을 통한 시사점제안이 요구된다.관적인 시스템을 제공하는 것이다.가 생성된다. $M_{C}$에 CaC $l_2$를 첨가한 경우 $M_{C}$는 완전히 $M_{Cl}$ 로 전이를 하였다. $M_{Cl}$ 에 CaC $l_2$를 첨가하였을 경우에는 아무런 수화물의 변화는 발생하지 않았다. 따라서 CaS $O_4$.2$H_2O$를 CaC $O_3$및 CaC $l_2$와 반응시켰을 때의 AFm상의 안정성 순서는 $M_{S}$ < $M_{C}$< $M_{Cl}$ 로 된다.phy. A Study of Characteristics of Business Cycle in the Jeju Region (제주지역 경기변동의 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the business cycle in the Jeju region and what differences exist in relation to the nation as a whole, to calculate the relative importance between the random walk stochastic trend and cyclical factor, and to find out its causes and implications. Results of empirical analysis found that the characteristics of the business cycle in the Jeju region were as follows: First, the Jeju region, which is likely to have a growth component of the economy such as technological development and the accumulation of capital, was projected to have a possibility of high growth due to a greater proportion of the stochastic trend factor(46.8%) than the entire country(27.8%). Secondly, employment fluctuation in Jeju, which varies from 0.007 to 0.058 depending on the model, was lowest compared to the fluctuation of other indicators. The employment market in Jeju remained firm, showing that it is not smooth enough to create new jobs despite the production growth in industry. Third, the tourism industry was acting as a stabilizing factor, whereas the mining and manufacturing production was the opposite of tourism industry. This implies that the mining and manufacturing production was based on a weak foundation.

Effects of Excess Vitamin E and Cholesterol Supplements on Levels of Vitamin E and Cholesterol in Rat Serum and Liver (과량의 비타민 E 및 Cholesterol 첨가식이가 흰쥐의 혈청과 간의 비타민 E 및 Cholesterol 농도에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study was undertaken to investigate the effects of excess vitamin E supple-mentation (0.5%) and cholesterol (0.5%) on levels of serum and liver vitamin E and cholesterol in two categories of rats, group A and group B. Rats in group A(45-65g) were fed experimental diets for 3 weeks ( I-C, II-E, III-Ch, IV-ECh). On the other hand rats in group B(45g-65g) were first fed control diet for 3 weeks and then fed experimental diets when they were 100-l20g for the subsequent 3 weeks ( I'-C, II'-E, III'-Ch, & IV'-ECh). The levels of serum vitamin E were higher in vitamin supplemented groups as expected. Dietary cholesterol showed a tendency to lower serum vitamin E levels of vitamin E supplemented groups. Serum cholesterol levels tended to stay in a narrow range showing resistancy to dietary cholesterol and were not affected by vitamin E status. Whereas vitamin E supplementation seemed to lower the levels of hepatic cholesterol in both groups A & B( I-C, I'-C vs II-E, II'-E ), simultaneous supplementation of vitamin E with 0.5% cholesterol appeared to increase further the hepatic cholesterol levels which were already increased by cholesterol feeding ( IV-ECh, IV'-ECh, vs III- Ch, III'-Ch). Hepatic vitamin A levels decreased as rats grew older during the experimental period. Even though vitamin A levels did not differ from each other significantly, excess amount of vitamin E supplementation in group B seemed to show a tendency to decrease the vitamin A storage in liver.

Development of Real-Time Forecasting System of Marine Environmental Information for Ship Routing (항해지원을 위한 해양환경정보 실시간 예보시스템 개발)

  • A marine environmental information system (MEIS) useful for optimal route planning of ships running in the ocean was developed. Utilizing the simulated marine environmental data produced by the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts based on global environmental data observed by satellites, the real-time forecast and long-term statistics of marine environments around planned and probable ship routes are provided. The MEIS consists of a land-based data acquisition and analysis system(MEIS-Center) and a onboard information display system(MEIS-Ship) for graphic description of marine information and optimal route planning of ships. Also, it uses of satellite communication system for data transfer. The marine environmental components of winds, waves, air pressures and storms are provided, in which winds are described by speed and direction and waves are expressed in terms of height, direction and period for both of wind waves and swells. The real-time information is characterized by 0.5° resolution, 10 day forecast in 6 hour interval and daily update. The statistic information of monthly average and maximum value expected for a return period is featured by 1.5° resolution and based on 15 year database. The MEIS-Ship include an editing tool for route simulation and the forecasting and statistic information on planned routes can be displayed in graph or table. The MEIS enables for navigators to design an optimal navigational route that minimizes probable risk and operational cost.

A study of geothermal heat dump for solar collectors overheat protection (태양열 집열관 과열방지를 위한 지중열교환기 연구)

  • The heating load using solar hot water is lower in summer than in the other seasons. This decreased heating load leads to the overheating solar collectors and related components. To prevent overheating of the solar collectors, air cooling and shading shields were used. On the other hand, it requires additional mechanical components, and reduces the system reliability. The geothermal heat dump system to release the high temperature heat (over $150^{\circ}C$) transferred from the heat pipe solar collectors was investigated in the present study. Research on the heat dump to cool the solar collector is rare. Therefore, the present study was carried out to collect possible data of a geothermal heat dump to cool the solar collector. A helical type geothermal heat exchanger was buried at a 1.2m depth. Experimentally and numerically, the geothermal heat dump was investigated in terms of the effects of parameters, such as the quantity of solar radiation, aperture area of the collector and the mass flow rate. A pipe length of 50m on the geothermal heat exchanger was suitable with a 0.33 kg/s flow rate. The water reservoir was a possible co-operation solution linked to the geothermal heat exchanger.

  • In many cases, operation of regional trunk lines is not profitable to railway operators. Nevertheless, railway operators are under pressure to manage regional trunk lines running under deficits, to better serve public interests. Given this situation, railway operators need to optimize assets by adjusting train schedules or changing the number of trains running. When railway operators judge the operation of a regional trunk line, the B/C ratio is generally used as a management index. This ratio is not considered part of strategic operational policy over the long term, and excessively influenced by the aspects of supply and demand over the short term. Accordingly, this study focused on indices that might be used to prevent worsening deficits and provide long term strategic operation policies, main indices to better measure economic situations, and auxiliary indices to supplement the main index. The main indices were measured in conventional ways to target experts and employees. This study presents quantitative standards, which are intended to be used to create itemized criteria through an Analytic Hierarchy Process, for better decision-making.

Electrical properties of a resistive SFCL with shunt resistor (분로저항을 가진 저항형 초전도 한류기의 전기적 특성)

  • We fabricated a resistive SFCL having a shunt resistor parallel to it in order to bifurcate the transient current at faults. The SFCL consists of a YBCO film coated with an Au layer (10 ${\omega}$ at room temperature), which is to disperse the heat generated at hot spots in the YBCO film, and the 5 ${\omega}$ shunt resistor. The minimum quench current of the SFCL was found to be 12.2 A$_{peak}$. This SFCL successfully controlled the fault current below 23 A$_{peak}$ which is otherwise to increase up to 113 A$_{peak}$. Bifurcation of the current resulted in the temperature rise of the YBCO/Au film 3 times slower than without the shunt, protecting the SFCL at high currents.

Mitral Valve Replacement in Children Less Than 16 years of Age (소아에서의 승모판치환술)

  • From February 1980 to September 1995, 31 children between 2 months and 15 years of age with mitral valve disease have undergone mitral valve replacement(MVR) at Yonsei Cardiovascular Center and com- plete follow-up has been obtained on 28 patients. There were 10 males and 18 females whose weight ranged from 4.9kg to 56kg. Two patients died early postopeiatively and the overall hospital mortality rate was 7.1%. These two were infants but there were no statistically significant difference in overall mortality among the age groups(p=0.13). The valve related complication rate was 57.1% in children younger than 5 years of age, which showed higher complication rate compared to older patients(p< 0.05). The bioprosthetic valve have been applied in 7 patients, and its 5-year valve failure-free survival rate was 50% . No mechanical valve failu e had occurred in 21 patients. In considering high re-replacement rate of bioprosthetic valve, mechanical valve is recommended despite its possibility of bleeding and thromboembolic complications. However, the consequences of increasing body size and long-term interposition of a rigid prosthesis in a growing heart will require second valve replacement. En conclusion, mitral valve replacement can be performed tilth satisfactory long-term survival in children, although younger mean age of the children has an important influence on early mortality and com- plication rate. And therefore mitral valve replacement in children younger than 5 years of age needs special consideration.
