마이크로 캡슐 잠열재 슬러리를 적용한 미소채널 열교환기의 열분배 성능평가 (Experimental Study on the Heat Distribution in the Rectangular Mini Channel Heat Exchangers with MPCM Slurry)

  • The heat transfer performance and energy transport ability are relatively high due to higher specific heat. Therefore, it can be used in fields such as heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and heat exchangers. In this study, liquid-cooling heat exchangers were designed and tested by varying geometry and operating conditions. In addition, liquid-cooling heat exchangers were tested to provide performance data for MPCM slurry. The liquid-cooling heat exchangers had twelve rectangular channels with flow paths of 1, 2, 4 and 12. Silicon rubber heaters were used to control the heat load to the heat exchanger. Heat input ranged from 293 to 800 W, and inlet temperatures of working fluid varied from 15S to $27^{\circ}C$. The standard deviation of surface temperature was strongly affected by the coolant of MPCM Slurry, All MPCM-cooling heat exchangers showed higher cooling performance than the water-cooling heat exchanger except one path channel heat exchanger.

콘덴싱 가스보일러 잠열교환기의 이너 그루브 튜브 열유동 해석 (Heat Flow Analysis of Inner Groove Tube for Latent Heat Exchanger in Condensing Gas Boiler)

  • 현재 가정용 콘덴싱 가스보일러의 사용을 의무화 하고 있는 추세이며, CO나 NOx와 같은 오염 물질의 배출이 적은 친환경 보일러 사용을 적극 추천하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 효율을 증가시키기 위하여 가정용 콘덴싱 가스보일러에 사용되는 2차열교환기인 잠열교환기의 튜브(관) 내부에 이너 그루브 형상을 추가 하여 열유동에 대한 해석을 실시하였다. 이너 그루브 형상이 추가됨에 따라서 전열면적은 약 20% 증가하였으며, 이에 따라 열전달량이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었고, 이를 3차원 수치해석을 이용하여 확인하였다. 또한 이너 그루브 형상을 추가했을 경우 이너 그루브 형상이 없는 잠열교환기 보다 출구 온도가 약 $1^{\circ}C$ 증가하였고, 이는 가정용 콘덴싱 가스보일러의 효율증가에 상당한 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

배기열 회수용 종이 열교환기의 성능예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Prediction of Paper Heat Exchanger for Exhaust Heat Recovery)

  • In order to control indoor air quality and save energy, it is needed to install a suitable ventilation system equipped with heat exchanger for heat recovery. Paper heat exchanger can recover $50{\sim}70%$ of the enthalpy difference between supply and exhaust air. The purpose of this research is to obtain the experimental correlations for the friction factor, heat transfer coefficient, mass transfer coefficient and permeance of paper heat exchanger, which can be used to predict the performance of the paper heat exchanger. Pressure drops at various velocities, and sensible and latent heat transfer rates at various dry-bulb temperatures, relative humidities and specific humidities are measured to derive experimental correlations. The results of prediction using correlations show fairly good agreement with the experimental data obtained in the actual operating conditions.

  • Three dimensional characteristics of fluid flow and heat transfer have been studied numerically around the latent heat storage vessel which was applied to the practical ice-storage system. The result obtained indicates that the value of frictional coefficient decreases with decrease of baffle width. For the baffle spacing. $S/H_D=9.375$, baffle height. $H/H_D=0.5$ and various pressure drop, average Nusselt numbers in heat transfer surface are much dependent on the width of side baffle and middle baffle. that is. Nu_m decreases with decrease of the width of middle baffle when the width of side baffle is 4.375, where as the optimum condition of side baffle for $Nu_m$ exists in the range of 3.5< $B_1/H_D$ <4.375 at the width of middle baffle, $B_2/H_D=6.875$.

공기 지중간 직접열교환시스템의 연중 열성능 해석 (Analysis on the thermal performances of air-earth direct heat exchanger in one year)

  • This study is focused on the development and selection of the optimal cool tube system to maximize its thermal performance. Cool tube is devised to reduce the heating and cooling load of building by preheating or refreshing of intake air with buried pipes. Finite volume method is adopted to solve the conduction problem between the cool tube and earth. We examine the cool tube system for two operating periods, a short term(12 hours) and a long term(3 months). The results of short term operations reveal that condensation significantly influences and raises the exit air temperature. For long term operations, optimum conditions of cool tube system are obtained with variations of flow-rate, depth, length and diameter of cool tube.

  • 동적형 빙축열 시스템의 빙축열조에서 세가지 얼음충진율에 대해 분산유체의 유온, 유량을 변화시켜 용융실험을 행하였다. 빙축열조에 분산되는 분산유체의 온도가 높고 유량이 많을수록 빙축열조 내의 온도성층화 현상도 뚜렸하였고 온도성층화에 돌입하는 시간이 단축되었다. 분산유체의 유량이 많을 때는 잠열이 방출되는 시기에 걸쳐서 빙축열조 내의 온도안정화 현상이 나타나고 온도안정화에 소요되는 시간도 단축되었다. 그러나 얼음의 용융이 끝난 후는 유량이 적을 때가 온도성층화 현상이 뚜렸하였다. 빙축열조 얼음충진율이 높을 때 온도성층화에 소요되는 시간이 길었으며 빙축열조 내 온도분포는 안정되었고 빙축열조의 벽면 영향으로 인해 빙축열조 상부의 온도가 높게 나왔다. 실험초기온도를 유지하는 기간은 빙축열조 내의 얼음이 존재하는 기간과 일치하였다. 빙축열조 내의 평균온도 상승은 분산유체의 유량이 많고 온도가 높을수록 일찍 상승하였다. 총방열에너지에 대한 잠열에너지($E/E_{ot}$)의 시간에 대한 변화비는 분산유체의 온도가 동일한 조건에서 유량이 많을수록, 분산유체의 온도가 높을수록 큰 값으로 나타났다.

증발냉각을 이용한 배기열 회수장치의 성능에 관한 연구 (Performance of Heat Recovery System using Evaporative Cooling)

  • 현열 뿐만 아니라 잠열을 이용하는 증발냉각은 배기열 회수에 매우 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 증발냉각을 이용한 배기열 회수장치의 성능을 실험적으로 규명하는 것이다. 성능실험장치는 플라스틱 열교환기, 물 분무 노즐, 공기유동용 홴, 물 순환용 펌프, 수조, 온도 습도 유량 측정 센서 등으로 구성되었다. 증발이 없는 현열 회수에서의 유용도와 증발을 수반하는 전열 회수에서의 유용도를 여러가지 작동조건에서 측정하여 비교하였다. 현열냉각과 증발냉각의 유용도는 공기의 유량이 증가함에 따라 감소하고, 대향류에서의 유용도가 평행류에서의 유용도 보다 휠씬 높다. 증발냉각의 경우 물 유량이 증가함에 따라 유용도는 증가하고, 평행류가 대향류보다 물 유량에 더 민감함을 알 수 있다.

다양한 형태의 단속표면을 갖는 공조기용 핀-관 열교환기의 열전달 특성 (Heat transfer characteristics of fin and tube heat exchangers with various interrupted surface for air conditioning application)

  • This study is related with the experimental investigation on the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of the fin-and-tube heat exchangers with three different interrupted fins and a plane fin for air-conditioning application. Experiments were conducted accordingly following the appropriate development process. Geometry similitude experiment was introduced to predict the performance of fins, and prototype experiment was also performed to confirm the validity of geometry similitude experimental results. However, these experimental results were limited to the sensible heat transfer characteristics of the heat exchangers. Hence, additional experiment was performed using refrigerant to investigate the latent heat transfer characteristics. This paper presents an appropriate process for the development of a new type heat exchanger. Sensible and latent heat transfer characteristics for each fin configuration is also provided along with the optimal fin configuration.

  • A simulation program using the mass transfer correlation was constructed to analyze 1-D simplified condensing flow across the tube bank. Higher efficiency was anticipated by reducing the flue gas temperature down below the dew point where the water vapor in the flue gas is condensed at the surface of the heat exchanger; that is, the heat transfer by the latent heat is added to that by the sensible heat. Thus, there can be an optimum operating condition to maximize the heat recovery from the flue gas. The temperature rises of the flue gas and the cooling water between the inlet and the outlet of the tube bank were compared with the experimental data reported previously. The predicted results agree well with the experimental data. Using this simulation program, the parametric studies have been conducted fur various operating conditions, such as the velocities and temperatures of the vapor/gas mixture and the cooling water, the number of the rows, and the conductivity of the wall material.

축냉 시스템이 차 실내 열 쾌적성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of the Effect on Cabin Thermal Comfort for Cold Storage Systems in Vehicles)

  • This paper presents the experimental study of cabin thermal comfort using a cold storage heat exchanger in a vehicle air-conditioning system. Recent vehicle-applied ISG functions for fuel economy and emission, but when vehicles stop, compressors in the air-conditioning system stop, and the cabin temperature sharply increases, making passengers feel thermal discomfort. This study conducts thermal comfort evaluation in the vehicle, which is applied to a cold storage system for the climate control wind tunnel test and the vehicle fleet road test with various airflow volume rates and ambient temperatures blowing to the cold storage heat exchanger. The experimental results, in the cold storage system, air discharge temperature is $3.1-4.2^{\circ}C$ lower than current air-conditioning system when the compressor stops and provides cold air for at least 38 extra seconds. In addition, the blowing airflow volume to the cold storage heat exchanger with various ambient temperature was examined for the control logic of the cold storage system, and in the results, the airflow volume rate is dominant over the outside temperature. For this study, a cold storage system is economically useful to keep the cabin at a thermally comfortable level during the short period when the engine stops in ISG vehicles.
