Reduction effects of isoprothiolane during rice washing and cooking (쌀 세척 및 취반 방법에 따른 isoprothiolane의 감소 효과)

  • This study used gas chromatography combined with the microelectron capture detection method to determine the most effective washing and cooking methods for removing isoprothiolane from rice. The initial isoprothiolane concentrations in brown and polished rice, before washing, were 17.03 mg/kg and 1.67 mg/kg, respectively. Residual concentrations declined with more washing cycles (19.3-59.3% for brown rice; 43.1-66.5% for polished rice); and by increasing the temperature of the washing water from 5℃ to 40℃ (56.6-63.1% for brown rice; 67.1-74.9% for polished rice). Hand-washing samples using gentle stirring or harsh rubbing reduced pesticide concentrations by 63.1-71.6% for brown rice, versus 75.4-87.4% for polished rice. Reduction in isoprothiolane concentrations varied based on the rice cooker type and whether the rice was pre-soaked. Immediate cooking using an electric- or pressure-cooker showed 78.5% and 78.4% reduction in brown rice, compared with 94.0% and 94.0% for polished rice, respectively. Pre-cooking immersion for 30 min showed similar reductions of 83.4% and 83.4% in brown rice, versus 95.8% and 95.8% in polished rice. The results of this study suggest that the most effective method for removing residual isoprothiolane from both brown rice and polished rice was to wash six times (with vigorous rubbing during the 2nd and 3rd washing) in 7-fold water at 40℃, followed by immersion for 30 min before cooking. Regardless of the type of rice cooker, heating is sufficient to remove an average of 83.4% and 95.8% of isoprothiolane from brown rice and polished rice, respectively.

Removal Effects of Organic-Phosphorus Pesticide Residue in lettuce by washing methods (세척방법에 따른 상추중 유기인 잔류농약의 제거효과)

  • It is investigated to determine the removal efficiency of organic - phosphorus insecticide residues in lettuce by washing processes, the 5 washing solution (stagnant tap water, flowing tap water, alkaline solution, acidic solution) were used with the washing time(10, 30, 50sec) and frequencies(1, 2, 3 washing, 2 rinsing). The removal efficiency of residual pesticides by 5 washing methods was increased on the more washing time and frequency, and also was the highest on the 3 times washing for each 50 sec. The removal rate with stagnant tap water was 33.7% of Diazinon, 45.7% of Dimethoate and 24.6% of Fenitrothion, but 29.4% of Diazinon, 37.7% of Dimethoate and 24.5% of Fenitrothion with flowing tap water. Therefore, the former was significantly higher effective than the latter one. The removal rate of residual pesticides with alkaline solution showed 32.1% of Diazinon, 49.5% of Dimethoate and 29.9% of Fenitrothion, and 30.4% of Diazinon, 36.4% of Dimethoate and 21.0% of Fenitrothion with acidic solution. The washing efficiency of neutral detergent showed the most effective result than others with 47.1% of Diazinon, 58.0% of Dimethoate and 39.5% of Fenitrothion. Consequently, it's appeared that the neural detergent washing was the most effective method on the 3 times washing for each 50 sec.

Si 함유 DLC 필름의 탄성특성 평가

  • 박막의 탄성특성을 평가하는 방법으로 nano-indentation, Brillouin light scattering measurement, ultrasonic surface wave measurement, bulge test, vibration membrane method 등 여러 가지가 제시되어 왔다. 최근에는 탄성특성을 평가할 수 있는 간단한 방법으로 기판 식각 기법을 이용한 freehang, bridge 방법이 제시되었다. 이중에서 bridge 방법은 간단한 식각 기법을 이용하여 얇은 박막에서도 탄성 특성을 평가할 수 있는 방법으로 제시되었다. 그러나 식각 과정에서 발생하는 patch 부분의 under-cut으로 인해 정확한 bridge의 길이를 측정할 수 없게 되어 오차가 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 bridge 방법에서 발생하는 오차를 줄이기 위한 방법으로, patch 부분에 etch-stop을 제작해 줌으로서 식각 과정에서 발생하는 under-cut을 효과적으로 제거시켰다. Etch-stop은 2장의 mask를 align key를 이용하여 제작하였다. 먼저 산화막이 형성되어 있는 Si 기판위에 mask 1을 이용하여 patch 부분을 lithography 작업하고, 습식 식각 공정을 한 뒤 DLC 필름을 증착시킨다. 다음으로 mask 2를 이용하여 bridge pattern을 제작하고, DLC 필름을 증착시킨 후 lift-off 기술과 산화막 등방식각 공정을 통해 bridge를 제작하였다. 이렇게 제작된 bridge를 통해 필름이 기판에 부착되기 위해 필요한 변형률을 측정하고, 독립적으로 측정된 필름의 잔류응력과 함께 박막의 응력-변형률 관계식에 적용시켜 biaxial elastic modulus, E/(1-v)를 구할 수 있었다. Sidl 첨가된 DLC 필름은 rf-PACVD 장비를 이용하여 증착하였다. 이때 전극과 플라즈마 사이의 바이어스 음전압은 -400V로 합성압력은 10mTorr로 고정하였다. 사용한 반응가스는 벤젠(C6H6)과 희석된 실렌(SiH4:2H=10:90)이며, 희석된 실렌의 첨가량을 조절하여 필름 내에 함유된 Si의 양을 조절하였다. 각각의 조건에서 증착시간을 조절하여 필름의 두께를 조절하였다. 필름의 잔류응력은 압축잔류 응력에 의해 발생한 필름/기판 복합체의 곡률을 laser 반사법을 이용하여 측정하고, 이 결과를 Brenner 등에 의해 유도된 식을 대입하여 계산하였다.

  • Thick-walled cylinders, such as a cannon or nuclear reactor, are autofrettaged to induce advantageous residual stresses into pressure vessels and to increase operating pressure and the fatigue lifetimes. As the autofrettage level increases, the magnitude of compressive residual stress at the bore also increases. However, the Bauschinger effect reduces the compressive residual stresses as a result of prior tensile plastic strain, and decreases the beneficial autofrettage effect. The purpose of the present paper is to predict the accurate residual stress of SNCM8 high strength steel using the Kendall model which was adopted by ASME Code. The uniaxial Bauschinger effect test was performed to decide BEF, then this constant was used in calculation. There were some differences between theoretical solution and modified solution.

다이아몬드 기판을 이용한 온도 변화에 따른 질화 붕소 박막의 증착 거동

  • 현존하는 초경도 박막물질 중 입방정 질화붕소(cBN)은 철계 금속과의 반응안정성 및 낮은 온도에서의 합성가능성 등 많은 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 필수로 수반되는 이온충돌 효과로 인해 박막 내 높은 잔류응력으로 인한 박리 현상으로 응용이 어려운 실정에 있다. 현재까지 이를 개선하기 위해 수소를 첨가하여 박막의 잔류응력을 줄이는 연구, B4C 타겟을 이용하여 B-C-N 의 gradient layer를 설계하여 점진적으로 잔류응력을 감소시키는 연구 등 많은 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 MOCVD로 만들어진 NCD(Nano Crystalline Diamond) buffer layer 위에 RF-UBM(unbalanced magnetron) PVD를 이용하여 BN을 증착시켰다. hBN 타겟을 이용하여 2mTorr에서 400W 의 RF 파워를 사용하여 기판에 RF bias를 인가해 실험하였다. cBN 박막과 기판의 lattice mismatch 를 줄이기 위해서 본 연구소에서 제공되는 NCD 기판을 사용하였으며, 다이아몬드 기판과 cBN 박막의 1:1 에피성장을 이루기 위해 상온에서부터 800도까지 온도 변화를 주어 cBN을 증착시켰다. FTIR(Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy)로 $sp^2$구조인 hBN과 $sp^3$구조인 cBN의 성장유무를 확인하였으며, FTIR peak intensity 차이로 박막내 cBN의 함량을 계산하였고, Scratch test로 박막과 기판사이의 밀착력을 상대적으로 비교하였으며, 격자의 에픽성장을 확인하기 위해 FIB 의 작업을 거쳐 HRTEM 으로 각 위치별로 SAD pattern를 이용하여 성장거동을 확인하였다.

Analysis of Overlay Weld Effect on Preventing PWSCC in Dissimilar Metal Weld (이종금속 용접부의 일차수응력부식균열 방지를 위한 예방정비 용접 효과 분석)

  • PWSCC(Primary Stress Corrosion Cracking) in Alloy 82/182 butt welds is the problem affecting safety and integrity of nuclear power plant. PWSCC can be occurred in the area that is at high magnitude of tensile residual stress, such as Alloy 82/182 dissimilar metal welds in PZR(pressurizer) nozzles. There have been a number of incidents recently at the dissimilar metal welds in overseas nuclear power plants. Overlay weld is the one of the effective methods to decrease tensile residual stress of inside surface, which will result in preventing PWSCC. In this paper, overlay weld conditions on the purpose of preventing PWSCC was explained and the benefit of the overlay weld was confirmed performing finite element analysis.

Comparison of Biofilm Removal Characteristics by Chlorine and Monochloramine in Simulated Drinking Water Distribution Pipe (모형 수도관에서 염소와 모노클로라민에 의한 생물막 제거 특성 비교)

  • This study investigated the characteristics of the biofilm removal by free chlorine or monochloramine. The simulated drinking water distribution pipes on which biofilms had been formed were supplied with tap water containing 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 mg/L of free chlorine or monochloramine residuals. The biofilm removal was characterized by measurement of attached HPC and biomass on pipe surfaces. Chlorine was more effective in both inactivation of attached viable heterotrophic bacteria and removal of biofilm biomass compared to monochloramine. Biofilm matrix was not much eliminated from the surfaces by monochloramine disinfection. Free chlorine residual of 2.0 mg/L was found to be effective in biomass removal. However, biofilm level as low as $10CFU/cm^2$ of attached HPC and $5{\mu}g/cm^2$ of biomass still remained on the surfaces at 2.0 mg/L of chlorine residual. The measurement of biomass appeared to be a useful means in evaluating the characteristics of biofilm removal.
