A Post-mortem Detection Tool of First Races to Occur in Shared-Memory Programs with Nested Parallelism (내포병렬성을 가진 공유메모리 프로그램에서 최초경합의 수행후 탐지도구)

  • Detecting data races is important for debugging shared-memory programs with nested parallelism, because races result in unintended non-deterministic executions of the program. It is especially important to detect the first occurred data races for effective debugging, because the removal of such races may make other affected races disappear or appear. Previous dynamic detection tools for first race detecting can not guarantee that detected races are unaffected races. Also, the tools does not consider the nesting levels or need support of other techniques. This paper suggests a post-mortem tool which collects candidate accesses during program execution and then detects the first races to occur on the program after execution. This technique is efficient, because it guarantees that first races reported by analyzing a nesting level are the races that occur first at the level, and does not require more analyses to the higher nesting levels than the current level.

  • 통계적인 방법으로 병렬 코퍼스(parallel corpus)로부터 사전정보를 추출해 내는 정렬 시스템에 대한 연구가 세계 여러곳에서 진행되고 있다(신중호 1996; Dagan 1996; Fung 1995; Kupiec 1993). 그 결과로 만들어진 사전정보는 유용한 대역어와 대역 확률을 포함하고 있지만, 불필요하거나 잘못된 요소들도 많이 포함되어 있어 재조정 작업이 필요하다. 이는 사전정보를 직관적으로 확인함으로써 조정을 할 수도 있지만, 좀 더 정확한 조정을 위해 각각의 사전정보(정렬의 결과)가 코퍼스의 어떤 문장에서 나온 것인가 등을 확인할 필요가 있다. 정렬 워크벤치는 이와 같은 작업을 효율적으로 처리할 수 있도록 만들어졌으며, 현재 구현되어 작동되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 정렬 워크벤치를 위해 필요한 정렬시스템의 변형과 사전작업의 편의를 위해 제공되어져야 하는 기능 등에 관하여 설명하고, 간단한 평가 결과를 설명한다.

서열 환경에서 농작업 모자 착용에 따른 체온 조절 및 주관적 반응

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고추 수확과 같은 여름철 농작업 시 농민의 온열 스트레스 경감을 위한 피복 장비 개발 연구의 일환으로 두 종류의 기능성 모자를 개발하고 그 성능을 비교 검토하는 것이다. 피험자로는 건강한 남자 대학생 열 두 명이 참가하였다. 인공기후실 실험 조건은 네 가지로 모자를 쓰지 않은 경우 (Control), 챙이 넓은 시판 농작업모를 착용한 경우 (Hat A), 반사 소재의 냉각 모자를 착용한 경우 (Hat B), 반사소재이면서 통기 구조를 갖는 냉각 모자를 착용한 경우 (Hat C)이다. 인공 기후실 내 환경 조건은 기온 33$\pm$0.5$^{\circ}C$, 습도 65$\pm$5%RH, 복사 온도 39$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$로 WBGT 33$^{\circ}C$를 유지하였고, 피험자들은 120분(50분 작업, 10분 휴식, 50분 작업, 10분 휴식) 동안 모델화된 고추 수확 작업을 수행하였다.

  • In this paper, we investigated the following items for the development of gas safety work mobile app. In this study, which is a follow-up study after the completion of the scenario design and the first, second image extraction of the mobile app based on the initial research that has been studied, 1) Suggested classification of gas works by type classification and risk classification 2) The research and proposal of interaction method for effective interworking of mobile app and worker in many industrial fields of two-hand work have been made. In particular, the development of a mobile app that interacts with the main system that manages not only the gas work but also the field of each industrial field is the first attempt in Korea and has helped the worker to work freely and safely through various interaction methods.

Real-Time Job Scheduling Strategy for Grid Computing (그리드 컴퓨팅을 위한 실시간 작업 스케줄링 정책)

  • In this paper, we propose a scheduling strategy for grid environment that reduces resource cost. This strategy considers resource cost and job failure rate to efficiently allocate local computing resources. The key idea of our strategy is that we use two-level scheduling using remote and local scheduler. The remote scheduler determines the expected total execution times of jobs using the current network and local system status maintained in its resource database and allocates jobs with minimum total execution time to local systems. The local scheduler recalculates the waiting time and execution time of allocated job and uses it to determine whether the job can be processed within the specified deadline. If it cannot finish in time, the job is migrated other local systems, through simulation, we show that it is more effective to reduce the resource cost than the previous Greedy strategy. We also show that the proposed strategy improves the performance compared to previous Greedy strategy.

  • The clustering environment with heterogeneous workstations provides the cost effectiveness and usability for executing applications in parallel. Load balancing is considered a necessary feature for a cluster of heterogeneous workstations to minimize the turnaround time. Previously, static load balancing that assigns a predetermined weight for the processing capability of each workstation, or dynamic approaches which execute a benchmark program to get relative processing capability of each workstation were proposed. The execution of the benchmark program, which has nothing to do with the application being executed, consumes the computation time and the overall turnaround time is delayed. In this paper, we present efficient methods for task distribution and task migration, based on the relative load index. We designed and implemented a load balancing system for the clustering environment with heterogeneous workstations. Turnaround times of our methods and the round-robin approach, as well as the load balancing method using a benchmark program, were compared. The experimental results show that our methods outperform all the other methods that we compared.

A Relative Performance Index-based Job Migration in Grid Computing Environment (그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 상대성능지수에 기반한 작업 이주)

  • In this paper, we research on job migration in a grid computing environment with cactus and MPICH-C2 based on Globus. Our concepts are to perform job migration by finding the site with plenty of computational resources that would decrease execution time in a grid computing environment. The Migration Manager recovers the job from the checkpointing files and restarts the job on the migrated site. To select a migrating site, the proposed method considers system's performance index, cpu's load, network traffic to send migration job tiles and the execution time predicted on a migration site. Then it selects a site with maximal performance gains. By selecting a site with minimum migration time and minimum execution time. this approach implements a more efficient grid computing environment. The proposed method Is proved by effectively decreasing total execution time at the $K\ast{Grid}$.

  • The study seeks to examine the alignment between the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and the Six Principles of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) through qualitative analysis. The study utilizes a qualitative methodology that entails a comprehensive review of the existing literature to establish connections between MOHO and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) principles, with a specific focus on collaborative special education environments. Data collection involves examining academic literature on MOHO, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) principles, and the partnership between occupational therapists and special education teachers. Thematic analysis is employed to identify recurrent themes and relationships, offering valuable insights into the theoretical foundations of MOHO and its compatibility with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)The Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) highlights the significance of active engagement and meaningful participation in inclusive education. It promotes the development of independence and self-determination in occupational performance for children with special needs. Moreover, MOHO stresses the importance of offering tailored support and adjustments for these children.

  • The cable stayed roof structure of Jeju worldcup stadium is erected with correct prestressed force that is required by the structural engineer who designs this structure. This study evaluated and adapted the erection process of cable, the erection force and the measurement of cable force for Jeju worldcup stadium. The process of erection is required not only to calculate election force but also to check structural stability, post process, construction period and using cranes. Considering the site conditions and technical problems, this study can attain successfully the erection of cable stayed roof structure of Jeju worldcup stadium with allowable errors.

  • 일반적으로 재해는 물적인 원인이나, 인적인 원인 또는 두 원인이 함께 작용하여 발생한다. 농업기계관련 재해의 원인은 기계의 성능뿐만 아니라 그 기계가 얼마만큼 인간이 쾌적하고, 안전하게 운전조작을 할 수 있는가에 대한 문제에도 직접적인 원인이 있는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 현재 우리나라에서의 농업기계로 인한 재해실태 조사와 외국선진사례의 분석을 통해 농업기계 작업의 특성을 파악하고, 인간공학 측면에서 농작업 및 농업기계에 대한 분석을 통해 위험요인을 도출하여, 발견된 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 마련하고자 한다. 또한 현재 농업기계에 의한 재해현황, 농업기계작업에 대한 안전지침, 설계에 대한 인간공학적인 지침 및 농업기계 재해예방을 위한 정책적 개선대안을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구는 작업자의 기술 및 상황판단, 시계성, 차체진동 및 의자진동, 의자설계, 캐핀 배치 및 설계, 안전장치 및 보호 장치, 작업환경 등을 농업기계 제조회사가 고려할 수 있도록 하는데 큰 도움을 줄 수 있으며 기계의 인간공학적 개선을 통해 안전한 운전조작을 가능케 하여 농업관련재해의 감소와 재해의 사전예방에도 크게 기여할 것으로 판단된다.
