유압 Vane Pump의 성능특성에 관한 연구

  • 유압 시스템(System)은 원동기의 기계적 에너지를 유압펌프가 작동유를 압력 에너지의 형태로변환 시켜 이것을 유합 실린더(Cylinder)등의 엑츄에이터(Actuator)가 다시 기계적 에너지로 변환시켜 부하 를 구동하게한다. 상용차(NT-1, KH 등)용 파워스티어링(Power Steering)에 장착되는 Vane Type Oil Pump (이하 VOP)가 바로 이와같은 역할을 담당하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 VOP의 성능과 관련되어지는 주요 제원(Parameter)인 미끄럼부에서의 틈새, 작동유점도, 압력변화, 회전수 등을 다양하게 변화시키는 모의실험(Simulation)을 통하여각각의 조건하에서얻어지는 누설 유량과 체적효율을 수치적 으로 예측하고 이것을 주요제원을 고려하여 해석해서 정량적인 값을 얻는 것을 목적으로한다.

Performance Prediction on a Partially Admitted Single-Stage Axial-Type Turbine (부분분사에 의하여 작동하는 축류형터빈의 성능예측에 관한 연구)

  • A performance prediction model is developed for partially admitted axial-type turbines. Losses generated within the turbine are classified to the windage loss, expansion loss and mixing loss. The developed loss model is compared with an experimental result. The results predicted with the developed model agree well with the experimental results than those predicted with several other models because this model considers three different kinds of losses. Moreover, this model predicts well the performance even the partial admission is changed. So, this model could be applied to predict the performance of partially admitted axial turbine and it has a high accurate performance.

Piezo-Composite Actuator for Control Surface of a Small Unmanned Air Vehicle (소형 무인 비행체 조종면 작동용 압전 복합재료 작동기 연구)

  • The purpose of the present study is to develop lightweight and simple smart actuators in order to replace conventional hydraulic/pneumatic actuators, and to apply the developed actuators to the actuation systems of a small unmanned air vehicle. This research describes the procedures of design, manufacturing of the piezo-composite actuator, and the performance evaluation. From the test results of the developed devices, we found the possibility of piezo-composite actuator could be used as a control surface of a small UAV system. We have designed and manufactured two kinds of piezo-composite actuators, unimorph actuator and bimorph actuator. The manufactured actuators were evaluated through the performance testes. It was found that the bimorph type actuator showed more linear angle change for the same excitation voltage variation than unimorph type. It is expected that piezo-composite actuator has a possibility to be used not only as a control surface of small unmanned flying vehicle but also as a control surface actuator of a guided missile fin through the miniaturization of power supply and control system.

  • A ventilation-relief valve performs as a safety-valve assembly for the liquid-propellant feeding system of space launch vehicle. This valve plays a role of relieving the vaporized propellants from propellant tanks during the filling and storing stages of propellants. Also it regulates to maintain the pressure of ullage volume of on-board propellant tanks within the safety-margin during the flight. The simulation model of ventilation-relief valve is designed with AMESim to predict and evaluate the dynamic characteristics and pneumatic behaviors of valve. To validate a valve simulation model, the simulation results of the opening and closing pressures and their operating durations of valve by AMESim analysis are compared with the results of mathematical methods. In addition, the results of internal flow simulation with FLUENT are utilized to improve the accuracy of valve-modeling. This study will serve as one of reference guides to enhance the developmental efficiency of ventilation-relief valves with the various operating conditionss, which shall be used in Korea Space Launch Vehicle-II.

  • According to the sequence of pintle operation, the performance characteristics of pintle nozzles are analyzed. The pintle movement was simulated using unsteady numerical techniques, the response lag and sensitivity at the chamber and nozzle are estimated for movable pintle. Three operation sequences of the pintle are considered for evaluating whether the rate of the chamber pressure increase and the operation sequence will have any significant impact towards the rocket performance. Three operation sequencies are as following; the pintle moves toward the nozzle throat, it turns instantly (case 1), stops at the nozzle throat for some time(0.5sec) (case 2), and stops at the nozzle throat (case 3). As a result, the dynamic characteristics according to the operation sequence and pintle shape were analyzed to take account the rocket performance.

  • 스프링클러 소화설비는 화재가 발생하였을 때 자동적으로 감열, 작동하여 초기화재 진압을 목적으로 하는 소화설비로서 소화특성은 화재발생으로부터 소화가 시작되는 화재감지특성과 화재제어 및 진압에 대한 방사특성1) 으로 FRS2) 3)와 FMRC4)에서는 열응답의 민감도를 나타내는 반응시간지수(RTI)의 측정방법과 이론을 제시하였다. 반응시간지수는 스프링클러헤드의 작동에 필요한 충분한 열을 주위로부터 얼마나 빠른 시간내에 흡수 할 수 있는지를 나타내는 특성치로서 가열공기의 온도 및 속도에 의해 결정되며 값이 적을수록 헤드가 조기에 작동하게 된다.   • 과거 10여 년 간 Electro-Active Polymer(EAP) 분야는 큰 변형을 낼 수 있는 지능재료들이 출현함에 따라 인공근육을 만들 수 있는 가능성으로 인해 많은 관심이 모아지고 있다. EAP는 외부의 자극에 따라 큰 변위를 생성할 뿐만 아니라 근육과 같이 탄력성이 있는, 다른 재료기술들이 낼 수 없는 특성과 성능을 가지고 있다. EAP가 갖는 생체근육과 같은 작동을 할 수 있는 가능성은 곧 공상과학의 꿈을 이루고자하는 희망을 갖게 하며 인류의 문명발전에 크게 기여할 것이다. EAP는 차세대 마이크로 로봇, 오락산업 또는 초소형 비행체의 구동과 같은 인공근육 작동기의 응용분야를 창출하고 있다. EAP 작동기의 응용성은 폭넓으며 새로운 기술혁신의 기대를 불러 일으키고 있다.   • 본 연구에서는 실험적으로 2상 밀폐 직사각형 열사이폰 루프에 대하여 안정성 에 주된 영향을 줄수 있는 변수들, 즉 루프 경사각도, 작동유체의 유동현상을 관찰하 고 작동유체의 온도변동과 류프의 전열성능을 측정하여 열사이폰이 안정하게 작동하는 범위를 종합적으로 조사해 보았다.

  • A numerical method fur performance evaluation of LIPCA is proposed using a finite element method. Fully coupled formulations for piezo-electric material are introduced and eight-node incompatible element is used. After verifying the developed code, the behaviors of LIPCA and $THUNDER^{TM}$ are investigated.

  • In this paper, in order to guarantee successful operation of KSR-III TVC actuator in the presence of excessive external disturbances, a relief valve is designed as a key component of the actuator. It is shown that the relief valve can resolve the stability problems which occur due to actuator failure in the presence of excessive disturbance torques on the actuator. Six degree-of-freedom simulation shows that relief valves with low operating pressure and low LOHM parameter may be better is stability and performance of the TVC actuator system.
