A Study of Energy Efficient Clustering in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서네트워크의 에너지 효율적 집단화에 관한 연구)

  • Wireless sensor networks is a core technology of ubiquitous computing which enables the network to aware the different kind of context by integrating exiting wired/wireless infranet with various sensor devices and connecting collected environmental data with applications. However it needs an energy-efficient approach in network layer to maintain the dynamic ad hoc network and to maximize the network lifetime by using energy constrained node. Cluster-based data aggregation and routing are energy-efficient solution judging from architecture of sensor networks and characteristics of data. In this paper. we propose a new distributed clustering algorithm in using distance from the sink. This algorithm shows that it can balance energy dissipation among nodes while minimizing the overhead. We verify that our clustering is more en-ergy-efficient and thus prolongs the network lifetime in comparing our proposed clustering to existing probabilistic clustering for sensor network via simulation.

Development of distance sensor module with object tracking function using radial arrangement of phototransistor for educational robot (교육용 로봇을 위한 포토트랜지스터의 방사형 배열을 이용한 물체추적기능을 갖는 거리 센서 모듈 개발)

  • Radial distance sensors are widely used for surveying and autonomous navigation. It is necessary to train the operation principle of these sensors and how to apply them. Although commercialization of radial distance sensor continues to be cost-effective through lower performance, but it is still expensive for educational purposes. In this paper, we propose a distance sensor module with object tracking using radial array of low cost phototransistor which can be used for educational robot. The proposed method is able to detect the position of a fast moving object immediately by arranging the phototransistor in the range of 180 degrees and improve the sensing angle range and track the object by the sensor rotation using the servo motor. The scan speed of the proposed sensor is 50~200 times faster than the commercial distance sensor, thus it can be applied to a high performance educational mobile robot with 1ms control loop.

  • Various sensors such as lidar, radar, and camera are fused and used in autonomous vehicles. Rider and radar sensors are difficult to popularize because they are expensive equipment. In order to popularize autonomous vehicles, research that can replace expensive equipment is continuously being conducted. In this paper, we use a single camera that is inexpensive and can be easily mounted. We propose a method for detecting the wheels and adjacent lanes of a front-side vehicle of a driving vehicle and estimating distances. Our proposed method detects lanes and wheels from frame images after frame extraction via input images. In addition, the distance is measured and compared with the actual distance measured in the actual road environment. The distance could be calculated relatively accurately within the error range of ± 3 cm. Through this, it is expected that the camera can be used as an alternative means when the cost of autonomous vehicles is reduced or when the lidar or radar sensor fails.

  • Recent LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging) sensor is used for scanning object around in real-time. This sensor can detect movement of the object and how it has changed. As the production cost of the sensors has been decreased, LiDAR begins to be used for various industries such as facility guard, smart city and self-driving car. However, LiDAR has a large input data size due to its real-time scanning process. So another way for processing a large amount of data are needed in LiDAR system because it can cause a bottleneck. This paper proposes edge computing to compress massive point cloud for processing quickly. Since laser's reflection range of LiDAR sensor is limited, multiple LiDAR should be used to scan a large area. In this reason multiple LiDAR sensor's data should be processed at once to detect or recognize object in real-time. Edge computer compress point cloud efficiently to accelerate data processing and decompress every data in the main cloud in real-time. In this way user can control LiDAR sensor in the main system without any bottleneck. The system we suggest solves the bottleneck which was problem on the cloud based method by applying edge computing service.

  • With the rising innovative antigens(such as intruders and viruses) through Internet, new secure schemes are expected to perceptively detect and put them down. However, the current hosts over Internet could not properly analyze Internet antigens due to limitations of their system and network resources. In this paper, we introduce an Antibody Layer that mediates proper security services based on the biological mechanism to mpidly disclose and remove innovative antigens. The proposed Antibody Layer also provides three classes to make agreed-on security parameters set up easily with respect to real-time security QoS for one host as well as host alliances.

  • 최근 자율 주행 분야의 연구에서 LIDAR를 활용한 분류 기법들이 연구되고 있다. 그러나 2D 영상 처리와 비교하여, 대량의 3D 포인트를 사용하는 분류 알고리즘의 성능을 평가하기 위한 지상 검증자료를 쉽게 획득하기 어렵다. 본 연구는 LIDAR를 가상 공간에서 시뮬레이션 함으로써 감지한 물체의 정보를 기록함으로써 3D 포인트 클라우드를 사용하는 다양한 분류 알고리즘의 검증을 위한 지상검증자료를 생성하는 기법을 설명한다. 본 기법은 실제 LIDAR를 사용하는 것보다 적은 비용으로 다양한 환경에서의 분류 알고리즘 성능 검증을 가능하게 한다.

  • Due to miniaturization of electronic devices and development of IoT(Internet of Things), embedded system have been used in various field. Meanwhile, there is a potential vulnerability by the insufficient of system's security. In this paper, we implement secure boot using TPM to protect the integrity of embedded system environment. The Suggestion considers the required availability in the embedded system and detects the system's tampering at secure boot process via TPM. In addition, we have reinforced the confidentiality through AES encryption of the kernel at secure boot.

  • An autonomous agent for real world should be able to recognize text in scenes. With the advancement of deep learning, various DNN models have been utilized for transformation, feature extraction, and predictions. However, the existing state-of-the art STR (Scene Text Recognition) engines do not achieve the performance required for real world applications. In this paper, we introduce a performance-improvement method through an add-on composed of an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) engine and a classifier for STR engines. On instances from IC13 and IC15 datasets which a STR engine failed to recognize, our method recognizes 10.92% of unrecognized characters.

  • With the development of autonomous driving technology, the number of external contact sensors mounted on vehicles is increasing, and the importance is also rising. The vehicular ultrasonic sensor uses the LIN protocol in the form of a bus topology and reports a status message about its surroundings through the vehicle's internal network. Since ultrasonic sensors are vulnerable to various threats due to poor security protocols, physical testing on actual vehicle is needed. Therefore, this paper developed a LIN-CAN co-analysis testbed with a jig for location-specific distance test to examine the operational relation between LIN and CAN caused by ultrasonic sensors.

  • The area of security service has been maintaining the high growth curve annually by improving security consciousness from increase of the income and the progress of public services's level by the accomplishment in the info-communication field, recently the demand for unmanned security system is extended form commercial purposes into public offices and individual's houses. In addition to, the possible distance of offering services is scheduled to magnify. At the period when security company's influence has been becoming significant, the injustice transaction is the serious factor which obstructs the development of security companies. Therefore, it is urgent thing to devise counterplans to extirpate injustice transactions. There are the legalistic approaches of the breakthroughs against injustice transactions. One thing is settling the standard of the judgment and the other is renovating the provision of injustice transactions. Utilizing the principles of the fair competitions and importing self-obedience programs within the range of trade actions which is permitted by law, acted as the system approach. Moreover, there are such three things which can achieve mutual balances as establishing the range of the permitted action toward business corporations, applying spontaneously the fair competition principles and introducing the system of standard agreements. Gong further, this can establish order of security service areas and control them. Besides, it is possible for every organizations to make and operate the system appropriately by importing the self-observance system.
