산화아연 나노로드기반 광검출소자 제작 및 특성

  • 1차원 산화아연 나노구조물은 광대역 에너지 밴드갭(~3.3 eV)과 독특한 물리적 특성을 갖고 있어, 전계효과 트랜지스터(field effect transistor), 발광다이오드(light emitting diode), 자외선 광검출기 (ultraviolet photodetector) 및 태양전지(photovoltaic cell)에 널리 이용되고 있다. 특히, 1차원 산화아연 나노구조물은 직접천이형 에너지 밴드갭(direct bandgap)을 갖고 있으며, 빛으로부터 여기된 전자가 1차원 나노구조물을 통해 향상된 이동경로를 제공할 수 있어서 차세대 자외선 광검출기 응용에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 한편, 수열합성법(hydrothermal method)을 통해서 1차원 산화아연 나노구조물을 비교적 간단하고 저온공정을 통해서 합성할 수 있는데, 이를 광검출기 소자구조에 응용에서 양전극에 연결하기 위해서는 복잡하고 정교한 공정이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수열합성법을 통해 합성된 산화아연 나노로드가 포함된 에탄올 용액을 금(Au) 패턴에 drop-casting을 통해서 간단한 방법으로 metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) 광검출기를 제작하여 광반응 특성을 분석하였다. 또한 염료를 통해 가시광을 흡수하여 광전류(photocurrent)를 발생시킬 수 있도록 염료를 흡착한 산화아연 나노로드를 이용하여 같은 구조의 MSM 광검출기를 제작하여 가시광에 대한 광반응 특성을 관찰하였다.

Synthesis and Characterization of Polyamide Having Photoreactive Group in the Backbone and its Liquid Crystal Aligning Property (광반응성 작용기를 주사슬에 갖는 폴리아미드의 합성과 특성 분석 및 액정분자의 배향 특성)

  • A soluble polyamide containing photosensitive l,4-phenylenediacrylic acid (PDA) in main chain with biphenyl moiety was synthesized. The chemical structure of synthesized polyamide was investigated by means of $^1H$ NMR spectroscopy. The polymer was stable up to $280^{\circ}C$ and soluble in organic solvents, giving a good quality of thin films. The photoreaction of unpolarized LTV irradiated films was investigated by means of UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and FTlR spectroscopy, and liquid crystals (LCs) alignment property was examined by exposing to linearly polarized UV light (LPUVL) of 260~380 nm. The polyamide in film has excellent photoreactivity to unpolarized UV light. Direction selective photoreaction of PDA moiety in Lhe film was found to further induce nematic liquid -crystals to align along a perpendicular direction with respect to the electric vector of LPUVL, regardless of exposure energy of LPUVL. In addition, pretilt angle was measured by means of crystal rotation method. LPUVL-exposed polymer film induced the alignment of liquid-crystals (LC) with a pretilt angle of 0.2~$0.5^{\circ}$.

  • Polyorganophosphazenes bearing various hydrophilic and hydrophobic side groups were synthesized. These polymers were crosslinked by three methods. The side groups were (2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy, 2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy, phenyloxy, ethyl ester of alanin. Polymers synthesized in this study were crosslinked by gamma ray irradiation, UV irradiation, and UV irradiation in the presence of crosslinker and photosensitizer. Polymers crosslinked by UV irradiation in the presence of crosslinker and photosenitizer yielded hydrogels of highest elasticity. All hydrogels had lower critical separation temperature behavior.

Characteristics of Polycarbonate Film by Ion Beam for UV Block (이온빔을 이용한 폴리카보네이트 필름의 자외선 차단 특성)

  • For the purpose of obtaining polycarbonate film which blocks ultra-violet ion beam was irradiated onto the surface of PC film. This method has gotten several advantages compared with the techniques, such as the protection of changes in film thickness and UV blocking material deposited onto a base film. In order to investigate UV blocking PC film, the optical and chemical characteristics, surface morphology and lightfastness were confirmed by UV/Vis, FTIR(ATR) spectroscopy, AFM, and Q-UV fasoess analyses. As a result, it was shown that the modified PC film was able to block almost all of UV region and easily control the degree of UV block. The optical changes in the film were attributed to chemical changes in PC surface by ion beam irradiation. Moreover, we expect that the modified PC film can durably block UV due to no changes in colour and UV transmittance after UV fastness test.

  • 내부 순환형 회분식 반응기에서 UV/$TiO_2$ 시스템을 이용하여 기상의 아세톤과 알데히드류 유기화합물 분해 반응 특성을 온도와 농도 및 자외선 파장 및 광도에 대하여 고찰하였다. 또한 기존의 공기정화기에 장착할 수 있는 담체를 도출하고자 하였다. 새로운 광촉매 담지체로는 전처리 필터로 사용되는 메쉬망 형태를 사용하였으며, 광조사율이 높고 광촉매의담지량을 늘릴 수잇는 방안에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구 결과 광접촉 면적 대비 높은 반으성을 나타내었으며 Pt, Pd 등의 첨가에 의한 반응성 상승이 나타났다. 메쉬망 형태의담지체 사용시 광조사면적 대비 담지량의증가에 의하여 온도에 의한 흡착특성에 따른 영향을 더 크게 받는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 건축자재의 제작 및 도장공정, 합성수지 제조공정 등에서 많이 배출되는 휘발성 유기화합물(Volitile Organic Compounds, 이하 VOCs)은 이동성이 강하고 악취를 유발할 뿐만 아니라 마취성이 강하여 잠재적인 독성 및 발암성을 가진다. 이러한 VOCs의 제거방법 중 광촉매 제거법은 380 nm 이하의 자외선을 흡수하여 표면에서 생긴 전자와 정공으로 대부분의 유해물질을 제거하는 비교적 최근에 개발된 방법이다. 광촉매는 한번의 설치로 반영구적으로 사용할 수 있고 인체에 무해하며 유지비용이 적게 든다는 장점으로 인해 크게 부각되고 있다.   • Because N-Nitrosodimethylamine(NDMA) is well-known as a potential carcinogen, extensive research has addressed its treatment by ultraviolet(UV) and its degradation pathway. However, the detailed mechanism by which NDMA is photolyzed to form oxidized products, i.e., ${NO_2}^-$ and ${NO_3}^-$, is still not understood. This study reveals a key reactive species during the photolysis of NDMA. The study on a key reactive species was indirectly performed with the formation of nitrogen oxidized products and reactions between methanol and an unknown reactive species formed during the photolysis of NDMA. The peroxynitrite($ONOO^-$) generated by the direct UV photolysis of NDMA would be identified as a key reactive species in oxidizing nitrogen intermediates to ${NO_2}^-$and ${NO_3}^-$.

  • The rate constants for the hydrolysis of styryldiphossphine oxide(SDPO) were deter-mined by ultraviolet visible spectrophotometric method and rate equation which can be applied over wide pH ranges was obtained. On the basis of pH-rate profile, hydrolysis product analysis, general base catalysis and substituent effect, a plausible hydrolysis mechanism is proposed : Below pH 4.5, the hydrolysis reaction is pro-ceeded by the attack of water to carbocation after protonaticentration of hydroxide ion.

  • In this work, we have prepared the nanocomposite by the reaction of mica and zinc oxide, and investigated the application of nanocomposite to UV protecting creams. Mica treated with 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS) reacted with 1,4-phenylenediisothiocyanate (PDC) to give -N=C=S functionalized surface, which was further reacted with zinc oxides coated with APTMS to give mica-zinc oxide nanocomposites. The composites were characterized by EA, EDS, TGA, SEM, zeta potential measurement, powder XRD, and DRS UV/Vis analyses. Finally, we measured transmittances of ultraviolet protection creams manufactured by using mica composite covered with zinc oxides in the range of 280~400 nm. The nanocomposites developed in this work might be applicable as inorganic hybrid materials for UV protecting creams.
