The purpose of this study was to develop the psychology-based naturalistic competency curriculum so that forest-related experts could fully play the role of a mediator between nature(forest) and human(visitors). The curriculum was designed in three parts: a pleasant life, a wise life, and a meaningful life. Contents were focused on recognizing and naming one's senses and emotions in nature, discovering nature-related memories and Naturalistic Intelligence, experiencing the flow in nature and activating the Default Mode Network. The curriculum supplemented by expert's advice was implemented as job training for forest-related experts, and the curriculum was finally revised by examining the understanding and utilization of the participants. As a result, the curriculum in three areas of emotion, cognition, and practice was completed. It is expected that this curriculum will be upgraded through evaluation in the future so that forest-related experts can provide more qualitative service by strengthening their naturalistic competency.

The purposes of this study were to provide basic visitor information for effective park management and to understand visitors' perception about the interpretive media which is utilized as a self-guide environmental interpretation in Weolchusan National Park. To accomplish the purposes of study, a questionnaire survey was chosen and the 196 valid samples among them were analyzed. Among who used the interpretive media, the largest proportion used the information board of park use-resources, and the usage rate of interpretive label of woody plant, interpretive sign of cultural asset, and self-guide tour were shown to be relatively high. However, the park brochures(map), bulletin boards, park web sites, LED sign, and visitor center exhibits were evaluated that use efficiency was low. In the analysis of importance-performance, visitors were perceiving the importance of all form of interpretive media greatly. The performance of interpretive media was also evaluated as affirmative.

The study, executed with Hallasan National Park, which deserves to be a typical ecotourism destination, aims to provide basic information on park management for early establishment of ecotourism in a national park by assessing its visitors' behavior and satisfaction with a nature trail established as a series of an environmental interpretation program. The questionnaire survey was conducted at Eorimok Square in the weekday and on the weekend for two months of August and September in 2006, and finally 144 valid samples were used for the analysis. As a result of the research, it revealed that the demographic characteristics of the visitors to Hallasan National Park tended to coincide with those of the visitors to other national parks In Korea. On the whole, it showed their low recognition level of nature trails built up in national parks and less experience in using them. However, the visitors' satisfaction level and intention of re-visit, and recommendation to others were comparatively higher after actually using the nature trail at the site of Hallasan National Park, which hints at the possibility of national parks' much weightier role as the ground for ecology education and the functional expansion of the environmental interpretation-related facilities and programs. As for the attributes having effects on users' satisfaction with a nature trail, substantial aspects such as accessibility, safety, uniqueness and interest in environmental interpretation, and educational quality as well as physical facility management were revealed to have equal effects on users' satisfaction level, so there still remain a lot of pending issues over the reality of national parks in the initial stage of ecotourism staying at the level of the introduction and establishment of the facilities for environmental interpretation. This research had surveyed visitors to Hallasan National Park and limited to the nature trail only. For more systematic and practical ecological management of a national park, the in-depth understanding of the attributes affecting satisfaction of ecotourists, including nature trails and other environmental interpretation programs, and more sophisticated measuring tools are needed.

본 논문은 기후자료로 제공되는 기상 데이터베이스로부터 사람이 이해할 수 있는 수준의 분석문을 생성하는 시스템에 자연언어 생성 기술을 적용한 연구에 관한 것이다. 기상청에서 제공되는 여러가지 자료들을 이용하여 기상관련 지식을 획득하였으며, 제한된 영역에서 잘 구조화된 템플릿을 정의하고 담화관계를 설정함으로써 관련 기상자료에 대한 해설문을 생성할 수 있었다. 실험 결과, 본 시스템은 비교적 좋은 성능을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다.

낙뢰 현상은 오랫동안 인류에게 신의 분노와 같은 것으로 여기며 신비스럽고 두려운 자연현상 중의 하나로 생각했으나, 자연과학의 발달로 요즈음은 대기중의 전기방전으로 자연스럽게 받아들인다. 그러나 최근 문제가 되고 있는 EMI/EMC 관점에서 보면 낙뢰 현상은 EMI를 일으키는 대표적인 발생원으로서 여전히 두려움 의 대상이다. 본 기술 해설난에서는 먼저 낙뢰시 발생되는 전자파의 세기와 파형에 대해 살펴보고, 이러한 전자파에 의한 EMI 문제 사례로서 전화가입자 선로에 유기되는 낙뢰서어지로 부터 교환기 보호라는 관점에 관해 기술하기로 한다.

This study evaluated the efficacy of information and self-interpretive media that provide information on park environment using self-administered visitor survey to the Dadohaehaesang National Park, Korea. Excluding missing and unreliable responses, 205 valid responses were used for the analysis. Socioeconomic status and visiting behavior of the visitors to the Dadohaehaesang National Park were similar to those to other Korean national parks. Results showed that, of the self-interpretive media, 'Information board of park use and resources' were most frequently used (87.7%), followed by 'Interpretive label of woody plant,' and 'Bulletin boards for information and enlightenment.' 'Guided interpretation' was used less than 40% of the visitors. Visitors also highly rated the importance of the media (higher than 4.0 on average out of 5 point Liker scale question). The average performance rate was 3.82, suggesting that visitors were satisfied on the self-interpretive media. Visitors responded that 'Information board of park use and resources' and 'Bulletin boards for information and enlightenment' were not useful and, therefore, should be amended and managed to improve the self-interpretability of the media.

설악산 국립공원은 우리나라에서 유일하게 천연보호구역과 생물권보전지역이 중복되어 지정되어 있으며, 자연공원법 상 자연보존지구도 가장 넓은 구역이 지정되어 있다. 이와 같이, 보전적 측면에서 특히 강조되고 있는데, 그것은 그만큼 다양한 자원이 분포하고 있으며 가치 또한 높다는 것을 반증하고 있다는 것이다. 따라서 자연관찰로는 다양한 자원에 대한 이해와 보전을 통한 환경교육의 장으로서 매우 중요한 역할을 한다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 현행 조성된 자연관찰로는 기존한 등산로에 조성되어 있고. 해설안내판 역시 타 국립공원과 차별화되어 있지 못하여 이용자의 인지도나 매력도가 매우 저하되어 있는 상태이다. 이에 본고에서는 설악산 국립공원의 적절한 자연관찰로에 대한 조성안을 제안하였으며, 이에 따라 향후 흥미로우며, 환경교육의 장으로서 그 역할이 기대된다.
