The study subjects were total 57,303 students (middle school: 29,384, high school: 27,919). The data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, χ2-tests and regression analysis using SPSS ver. 18.0. The findings revealed that socio-demographic characteristics (gender, residential area, residential type, economic status, school achievement) and mental health related characteristics (subjective assessment, stress cognition, overcoming fatigue through sleeping, experiencing sadness and despair, suicidal ideation, suicidal planning, suicidal attempts, experience of hospital care for violence, experience of smoking, drinking, sexual relations and/or habitual drug use, internet use except for study) were factors that influenced factors related to the mental health of juveniles (p<0.05). Objectives : The purpose of this study is to identify differences between suicide attempters who used zolpidem and others who used different methods in emergency department. Methods : This study classified 2,734 suicide attempters, who went to emergency department from 2009 to 2018, into zolpidem user group, another drug user group and non-drug user group. For these three groups, chisquare test and logistic regression analysis were conducted regarding sociodemographic feature and clinical feature related with suicide. Results : In the result of logistic regression analysis of a variable, which showed meaningful difference between suicide attempter group who used zolpidem and the other group who did not use the drug, the occurrence of zolpidem-using suicide attempers was related with the case where anxiolytics/hypnotics was used or the case where lethality and intention was low. In the drug intoxication group which showed similar feature, there was also a relevance between anxiolytics/hypnotics and the occurrence of zolpidem-using suicide attempts. Conclusions : This study identified significant difference of sociodemographic and clinical feature in suicide attempter group who used zolpidem and the other group. This result can contribute to plan further medicinal treatment in using zolpidem.

Objectives:This study was aimed at examining the emotional predictors of adolescent suicidal ideas in a community. Methods:The subjects were 1909 middle and high school students(936 males, 973 females) in Koyang-shi. We evaluated all subjects using Center for Epidemiologic Study for Depression(CES-D), Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale(RCMAS), Korean-Youth Self Report(K-YSR), Psychological Self-1 of Offer's Self Image Questionnaire(PS-1 of OSIQ) and Suicide Ideation Questionnaire (SIQ). We compared the PS-1 of OSIQ scores of Anxious-depressive group(above cut-off points of CES-D, RCMAS and K-YSR) to those of control group, and conducted correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis to all subjects. Results:The number of anxious-depressive group was 126(6.58%) among 1909 subjects with significant gender difference(M:F ratio 1:1.5). Both PS-1 of OSIQ and SIQ scores were significantly higher in Anxious-depressive group than in control group. There were significant correlations among the scales:CES-D, RCMAS, A/D of K-YSR, PS-1 of OSIQ and SIQ. Through stepwise multiple regression analysis, we found that significant predictors of suicidal idea were CES-D, RCMAS and A/D of K-YSR. Conclusion:Anxious-depressive adolescents may be the high-risk group for suicidality and need preventive interventions of suicidality in a community.

This study aims to determine the current status of experiences of suicidal attempts of Korean women and to evaluate related factors and provide basic sources for distinguishing high risk group. The primary data of the 6th period of national health and nutrition survey by KCDC, between 2013 and 2015,wereutilized in this study.Women were selected;general characteristics, psychological characteristics, and relevant information of daily activities were collected. The collected data wereanalyzed by applying the complex sample analysis method, using the SPSS 20.0 program with an application of weighted values. The resultsof this study revealed that 1% of the study population had previously attempted suicide; the suicidal attempts in subjects with prior psychological counselling within 1 year was 5.25 times higher than those without prior counselling.Subjectswith too much stress were 14.92 times more likely to attempt suicide than those without stress. Moreover, subjects with higher-intensity work in daily lives was 4.85 times more likely to attempt suicide than those with less intense work. In addition, subjects who sat for longer period of time was 3.76 times more likely to attempt suicide. All of these were statistically significant. Therefore, these subjects should be considered as high risk for suicidal attempt. In order to prevent female suicide, guidelines that considers the psychological health status and daily activities are required. In addition, it is necessary to approach this issuewith individualized prevention programs as part of social policies.
The purpose of this study is to analyze NSSI (Non-suicidal Self-Injury) and upcoming papers to review research achievements and endpoints and current problems. Analysis data necessary for the study were collected through the classification procedure as domestic suspension during the mandatory period related to self-harm from 2010 to the present. As a result of analysis according to classification categories (general characteristics, study subjects, research variables, program utilization), first, domestic studies related to non-suicidal self-harm increased steadily through 2019 and 2022 after increasing in 2017 (three articles) showing shape. Second, changes in the characteristics of the research subjects began to appear. If previous studies had mainly focused on adolescents who experienced self-harm, it was expanded to early adulthood (college students), and the subjects of the study diversified to include those who had experienced self-harm cessation, counselors, and parents. Third, various research methods began to appear. Compared to 2017, when quantitative research was active, research was conducted that applied various qualitative research methods (narrative, phenomenology, grounded theory, meta-analysis, case study). Finally, discussion of the research results and suggestions for future research were added.
