SCTS Conformance Test for OMA DS Standard for an Embedded Data Synchronization Gateway (임베디드 자료동기화 게이트웨이를 위한 OMA DS 표준 SCTS 적합성 테스트)

  • Nowadays, people perform their tasks anywhere anytime using their mobile devices. For this reason, data synchronization (DS) between mobile devices and a central server has become one of the most essential technologies in mobile environments. Currently, several mobile DS protocols are proposed and used. However, the existing DS protocols cannot guarantee interoperability between them. To solve the problem, an embedded DS gateway has been developed in our previous study. The gateway runs on a Windows Mobile-based emulator. It converts data on a mobile device into common data specified by OMA DS standard protocol and vice versa. The embedded gateway has been built to support the OMA DS standard protocol. In order to verify that the embedded gateway conforms to the OMA DS standard protocol, two kinds of OMA conformance tests have to be conducted - interoperability test with an OMA DS-based server and conformance test with SCTS (SyncML Conformance Test Suit). In this paper, some parts of the gateway previously built are modified and the modified gateway is installed on a Windows Mobile-based smart phone. And the interoperability test and the conformance test with the SCTS are conducted. The results of the tests show that the embedded DS gateway operates properly on the Windows Mobile-based smart phone and that the gateway passes the tests, verifying its conformity to the OMA DS standard protocol. In addition, DS performance tests show that DS delay times between a real smart phone and a DS server increase gently as the number of DS data increases. In other words, the embedded DS gateway built in this paper can be used for a real smart phone at a reasonable performance cost.

  • With the recent increase in demand for geo-registered imagery, Mobile Mapping Systems(MMS), which can quickly construct geographic information, has become important. The main part of MMS is the high-precision observation system, which collects geographic information at a certain speed. MMS has a complex data generation process and requires a standard-specific vehicle for its use, limiting its application range. In this paper, lightweight MMS is proposed to overcome its complexity by replacing the time synchronizer with a high-speed camera and by stabilizing motion with MEMS IMU/GPS. The proposed low-cost, portable method is expected to produce of geo-registered imagery efficiently.

  • 텍스트위주의 자료와 영상회의 자료를 결합하여 통합하고 이를 웹을 통해 서비스 하도록 구현하였다. 멀티미디어 회의정보 등록시 사용자는 DAM실행 파일을 자신의 PC에서 실행하고 프로그램에 내장된 윈도우 탐색기를 통해 등록하고자 하는 회의파일을 선택하면 XML 자동 피싱모듈이 실행되면서 자료 저장을 위한 핵심정보와 검색을 위한 단어색인 및 인덱스를 수행하여 오류시에는 에러메세지를 보여주고 성공시에는 분석된 핵심정보를 제공해준다. 서버로 전송된 멀티미디어 회의자료는 종류/시간/등으로 구분되어 윈도우 탐색기 형태의 트리구조와 사용자가 직접 단어를 입력하여 원하는 회의 정보를 검색하는 2가지 형태의 검색서비스를 제공하게 된다. 사용자는 본인의 서비스 환경에 따라 영상+문서, 문서 등을 자유롭게 선택하여 볼 수 있다. DAM의 경제적인 효과에 대하여 정확한 통계 자료가 국내에 아직 발표되지 않아 유사분야인 WCM시장 분석을 근거로 예상하였으며 시스템이 다양하고 복잡해질수록 투자대비 경제적인 효과가 높아 동기화 기술분야 시장이 확대될 것으로 기대된다.

An Evaluation Study of an ESP Module Program Combining with Keller's Learning Motivation Model for the 1st grade Nursing Students (학습동기모델과 특수목적영어 융합 모듈 프로그램 평가연구: 간호학과 신입생을 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of an ESP module program which combines Keller's ARCS model for the $1^{st}$ grade nursing students. Students' learning motivation and academic achievement were compared between an intervention group and a control group and their perception and subjective effects on the module program were identified. Quantitative data showed that the overall level of learning motivation in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group (t=2.391, p=.019). No significant difference was found on the level of academic achievement between two groups (t=0.116, p=.098). Contents analysis on the qualitative data showed that ESP module program was interesting, effective, helpful for understanding clinical settings, and giving confidence and satisfaction. According to the result, it is assumed that the ESP module program which combines ARCS model can be effective in motivating the $1^{st}$ grade nursing students to learn nursing contents and English.

The Effects of Science Activities Motivated through Children's Songs on Young Children's Science-Related Attitudes, and Understanding of Science Process Skills (동요를 동기화한 과학활동이 유아의 과학관련태도 및 과학과정기술이해에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study examined the effects of science activities motivated through children's songs on young children's science-related attitudes, and understanding of science processing. skills. The subjects of the present study were 40 children aged five, among them 20 children being assigned into an experimental group, and 20 children into a control group. An Hyun-Jeong's(2011). 'The Test of Science-Related Attitudes' and science process skills measurement questions from 'The Science Learning Assessment' by Samarapungavan, Mantzicopoulos, Patrick, and French (2009) were used after adapting them as research tools. The experimental group performed science activities motivated through children's songs 21 times, 3 times a week for 7 weeks; learning children's songs and asking science questions at the first stage, performing science activities at the second stage, and adapting children's songs based on the findings of science activities. The control group performed the learning of children's songs, science activities, and rhythmic activities in the same period. The pre- and post-test data were analyzed as at-test using SPSS program. The study results indicated that science activities motivated through children's songs were effective in improving young children's science-related attitudes and their understanding of science process skills.

Impact of Emotional Intelligence on Career Commitment and Organizational Commitment of Day-care Teachers (보육교사의 정서지능이 경력몰입 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers on their career commitment and organizational commitment in an attempt to provide some information on the development of the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers. Two hundred and three teachers in day-care centers in Gyeonggi-do Suwon-si participated in the study and descriptive, correlation, multiple regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows: First, the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers had a statistically significant positive correlation to career commitment. In addition, among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence, motivating oneself and knowing one's emotion exerted a statistically significant positive influence on career commitment. Second, the emotional intelligence of day-care teachers had a statistically significant positive correlation to organizational commitment. In addition, among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence, motivating oneself exerted a statistically significant positive influence on career commitment.

  • 국내 소프트웨어산업은 산업특성상 우리 나라에 적합한 산업이며 국내시장 규모도 급증하고 있으나 선진국에 비해 낙후되어 있는 형편이다. 따라서 최근 각광 받고 있는 소프트웨어 창업기업들을 대상으로 실사 및 설문지 조사를 통해 소프트웨어산업에 있어서의 성공요인들을 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 국내 소프트웨어산업의 국제경쟁력 제고를 위한 방안을 모색하는 것이 무엇보다도 필요한 시점이다. 이러한 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 조사대상 기업체를 기존 연구들처럼 소프트웨어산업에 종사하고 있는 기업들을 임의적으로 추출하여 자료를 수집하는 대신 성장 가능성이 있다고 판단되어 선정된 유‘망 중소정보통신 소프트웨어 기업’들과 현재까지 선정되지 못한 기업의 두 그룹으로 나누어 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 두 그룹간의 창업배경 및 성장과정별로 비교분석을 통해 차이점을 밝히고자 하였으며 창업이후 성공적 운영에 필수적인 우위요인에 관해서도 살펴보았다. 이러한 비교분석결과에 근거하여 국내 소프트웨어산업의 성공요인 및 국제경쟁력 제고를 위한 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 선정기업과 비선정기업간의 비교를 통한 성공요인 분석결과를 요약하여 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창업자의 일반적 특성과 창업배경 및 창업동기를 볼 때, 창업배경 또한 연구개발직 경험을 바탕으로 창업한 경우가 가장 많았으며, 주된 창업동기는 기술력에 바탕을 둔 사업화/동업화였다. 둘째, 창업자의 경영의지를 보면 창업 이전 준비 및 계획에 철저했으며, 각종 지원제도를 적극적으로 활용했을 뿐만 아니라 비혜택 제도도 적극적 활용(예; 공고생 현장실습제도 활용정도, 기술지도 및 연수사업 활용정도 등)하였으며, 특히 창업자가 미래에 대한 확신과 긍정적 사고, 및 성공에 대한 의지가 높았다. 셋째, 기술력을 보면 자체연구소 보유비율이 월등히 높으면, 보유기술도 국내에서 가장 먼저 개발하는 단계였거나 독자적인 기술보유가 많았고, 기술력 유지를 위한 신기술 연구개발투자의 강화, 신제품개발 및 품질향상을 지속화, 및 이를 뒷받침하기 위한 전문기술인력의 확보에 주력하였다. 끝으로 마케팅 능력면에서도 개발된 신제품에 대해 자체상표를 부착하는 비율(84.6% 대 64.5%)이 높고 다양한 판매경로를 통해 제품을 판매하였으며, 기업 및 제품이미지 제고를 위한 고객에 대한 서비스도 강화하고 있었다.

  • 최근 전력산업은 전통산업으로 인식되었던 기존의 틀을 과감히 벗고 IT, NT 테크놀러지와의 기술융합을 통해 혁신과 발전으로 진일보하고 있다. 이와 함께 북미지역을 비롯하여 유럽에서 발생한 광역정전의 영향은 전력계통 안정운영의 중요성을 한층 고조시키고 있다. 이러한 패러다임의 변화로 이기종 전력시스템들이 네트워크로 상호 연결되어 전력계통 데이터의 시스템간 자료교환이 활발해 지고 있으며, 이에 따라 신속하고 정확한 데이터 연계의 중요성이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 한국전력거래소에서 운영하고 있는 EMS(Energy Management System) 시스템의 데이터베이스와 이기종 시스템과의 데이터 송 수신시 필수요소인 자료연계 DB의 작성을 위해 자체 개발하여 활용중인 전력계통 자료연계 DB 동기화 프로그램을 통한 자동화 사례에 관해 소개하고자 한다.

A study on cluster and positioning of domestic electronic commerce based on purchasing motivation (국내 전자상거래 구매동기에 대한 군집 및 포지셔닝 연구)

  • Thirteen types of business and sixteen administrative districts in Korea are categorized and segmented based on their similarities and visually plotted on multidimensional space. The similarities are determined by five characteristics of quantitative evaluation (simplified process of trading, reduced price, direct contact with supplier, faster process of trading, et cetera). Hence, domestic types of business and administrative districts can be categorized into certain clusters. Also, forms and characteristics of types of business and administrative districts can be evaluated between and within the clusters.

Risk Factors for the Probability of Pregnancy Following Synchronization Protocols in Dairy Cows (젖소에서 배란동기화 프로그램 적용 후 임신율에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 연구)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the risk factors associated with pregnancy following 3 synchronization protocols in dairy cows. Data were collected on 1,952 cows from 22 dairy farms, including synchronization protocols ($PGF_{2{\alpha}}$ + estradiol benzoate [PG+EB], Ovsynch, and CIDR-ovsynch), cow parity, body condition score (BCS), and dates of previous calving, insemination and conception. The odds ratio (OR) for pregnancy were analyzed by logistic regression using the LOGISTIC procedure in SAS. The analysis revealed that farm (p = 0.005), cow parity (p = 0.0001), BCS (p < 0.005), and AI season (p < 0.05) significantly affected and calving to AI interval tended to affect (p < 0.1) the probability for pregnancy. Although synchronization protocols did not affect the probability for pregnancy (p > 0.05), cow parity and synchronization protocols showed a significant interaction (p < 0.005); the OR (0.60) was significantly lower (p < 0.0001) for multiparous cows compared to primiparous cows using PG+EB, whereas the OR (1.44) tended to be higher (p < 0.1) for multiparous cows compared to primiparous cows using the Ovsynch, and the probability for pregnancy did not differ between multiparous and primiparous cows using the CIDR-ovsynch (p > 0.05). Cows with BCS ${\geq}$ 3.00 were more likely pregnant (OR: 1.41) compared with cows having BCS ${\leq}$ 2.75, whereas cows inseminated during summer had a lower OR (0.73) compared with those inseminated during spring. Cows with a calving to AI interval > 150 days were more likely to be pregnant (OR: 1.20) compared with cows with a calving to AI interval ${\leq}$ 150 days. In conclusion, the OR for pregnancy following synchronization protocols in dairy cows was affected by farm, parity, BCS, calving to AI interval of the cow, and AI season, and there was a significant interaction between cow parity and synchronization protocols; the OR for pregnancy was lower for multiparous cows compared with primiparous cows using the PG+EB protocol.
