XML Database Setup & Messenger Connection Research for Cyber University Supporting (가상대학 학사지원을 위한 XML 데이터베이스 구축과 메신저 관련 연구)

  • In this paper, an objective of this research is to add convenience to the intranet operating within an educational institution, by setting up a messenger function to enable the faculties and teachers to make better use of the university database via Intranet. With this messenger services, the users can view the information about the members in a group they belong to, and register as friends a group of members they selected from the work group they are in. This function will reduce the cumbersome chores of adding one individual as a friend at a time. This research will enhance the Intranet within an educational institution by integrating new functions. Speciallly, In this paper, it is stored student data by the input form by the JDBC of XML standard data. Also, it is able to search of stored database to web sever from web client by the SQL quary.

철의장 설계 전산 개발/적용

  • 선박에 있어서 철의장품은 종류와 수량이 다양하고 형상이 불규칙하여 대부분의 사업장에서 설계 전산화가 이루어지지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 의장설계실에서는 이를 전산화하기 위하여 먼저 철의장품의 표준을 제정 및 극대화하고 설계작업절차와 물량의 흐름을 전산과 연계하여 체계화 및 표준화하였다. 또한 선박의 전구역에 설치되는 철의장품들을 관련 양식과 함께 국제표준을 근거로 BASICA CADDS, SURFACE DESING, SDDP(structural Design & Detailing Package) SOFTWARE를 이용하여 2차원(2-dimension) 및 3차원(3-dimension) 데이터베이스(database)화 하였으며 이를 POP-UP MENU를 이용, 쉽게 선택함으로써 모델링(modeling) 작업시수를 대폭 감소 시켰으며, 그래픽(graphic)에서 추출한 의장품의 데이터(data)를 의장품의 표준정보 FILE과 연계하여 라벨(LABEL) 및 치수(DIMENSION)를 기입하여 배치도를 추출하고 의장품의 제작, 설치, 계산 및 관리에 소요되는 설치도, 제작도 및 관련 보고서인 BOM(bill of material), PML(pallet material list), 의장제작품 LIST, COG(center of gravity), 관리점 등을 자동추출 및 관리전산망(PC-lan)과 연계할 수 있는 DECOM(철의장 전산설계 전용 package)을 89년에 개 발하여 의장설계에 적용하여 왔으며 ORACLE사의 RDBMS(relational database management system)를 도입하여 이를 보완하므로써 정보의 일관화 및 공유화가 가능하게 되었다. 그 결과 설계 M/H절감, 생산성 향상, 자재 및 관련 정보 전달에 혁신적인 변화 향상을 가져오게 되었다.

Performance Improvement of Voice Dialing System using Post-Processing (후처리를 이용한 음성 다이얼링 시스템의 성능향상)

  • Voice dialing system can recognize the speaker's command and dial the destinate phone number automatically. Such a system is useful for wireless handsets and portable communication devices. As a personal voice dialing system, all the commands are used to train the HMM for speech recognition based on owner-selected phrases. Its implementation requires much less memory space and computation resource compared to a speaker-independent system. Since only two or three training utterances per command are used in this system, it is difficult to estimate exact state duration distribution to improve the recognition performance. Therefore a post-processor is presented to improve the performance. Experiments which use the database collected through the telephone line showed that the proposed post-processor improves the recognition system performance.

Enhanced latitude for digital projection radiography (디지털 투시촬영의 관용도 향상)

  • 대조도와 관용도사이의 손실 교환은 투사 방사선 촬영에 있어서 잘 알려져 있고 또한 오랫동안 지속되어온 영상의 질에 있어서의 제약이었다. 전자적인 영상획득의 도입으로 한 영상 내에 넓은 영역의 X-Tay 노출을 포획하는 것이 가능해 졌다. 그러나, 진단에 필요한 세부영역 들을 위해 적절한 대조도를 유지하는 반면, 일반적으로 기대되는 관용도 범위 이외의 정보가 시각화 되어지는 것과 같은 영상의 rendering과 displaying의 문제가 남아 있었다. 이 문서에 묘사되는 EVP(Enhanced Visualization Processing)는 이 문제를 중점적으로 다룬다. 방대한 진단용 CR 영상 데이터베이스로부터 선택된 14개의 검사유형 당 각각 5개의 영상들을 포함한, 총 70개의 영상들을 사용하여 임상 보고서가 제출되었다. 각 영상에 대해, control rendering은 현재 개발되어 있는 automatic tone scaling algorithm(자동 톤 스케일 알고리즘)에 의해 생성되었고, test rendering은 그 control of image에 EVP를 인가함에 의해 생성되었다. 10명의 radiologist들은 각자 개별적으로 140개의 이미지들(70개의 test renderings와 70개의 control renderings)을 9점의 진단 상의 품질 척도로 평가했다. EVP는 세부 대조도의 부당한 손실 없이 증가된 노출 관용도를 제공했다. 많은 영상에서 EVP는 과소 투과 영역에서의 정보의 손실을 줄여주고, 반면 과다 투과 영역의 밝게 빛나는 현상을 실제적으로 감소시켰다. 진단상의 품질 평가는 EVP image와 control image 모두 평균적으로 높았다. 그럼에도 EVP images의 평균 등위는 control image의 그것보다 1 단계 완전히 높은 범위에 있는 것으로 평가되었다. 쌍으로 그 영상들을 보면, EVP images의 76%가 일치하는 control images의 평가 단계보다 1 또는 그 이상 높은 범주인 것으로 평가되었고, 반면 control image의 6% 만이 일치하는 EVP 영상보다 우수한 것으로 평가되었다. 유사한 결과가 연구된 14개의 검사유형에 대해 획득되었다.

  • As social multimedia sites are getting popular such as Flickr and Facebook, the amount of image information has been increasing very fast. So there have been many studies for accurate social image retrieval. Some of them were web image classification using semantic relations of image tags and BoVW(Bag of Visual Words). In this paper, we propose a method to detect salient region in images using GBVS(Graph Based Visual Saliency) model which can eliminate less important region like a background. First, We construct BoVW based on SIFT algorithm from the database of the preliminary retrieved images with semantically related tags. Second, detect salient region in test images using GBVS model. The result of image classification showed higher accuracy than the previous research. Therefore we expect that our method can classify a variety of images more accurately.

  • In this paper, we introduce 'Contents Based Image Retrieval' which helps a user find the images he or she needs more easily and reconfigures the images automatically. With this system, we try to realize the language of (motion) picture, that is, the Montage from the viewpoint of the user. The Real-time Montage System introduced in this paper uses 'Discrete Fourier Transform'. Through this, the user can find the feature of the image selected and compare the analogousness with the image in the database. This kind of system leads to the user's speedy and effective retrieving, Also, we can acquire the movement image of the user by Camera Tracking in Real-time. The movement image acquired is to be reconfigured automatically with the image of the user. In this way, we can get an easy and speedy image reconfiguration which sets to the user's intention. This system is a New Media Design tool(entertainment) which induces a user enjoy participating in it. In this system, Thus, the user is not just a passive consumer of one-way image channels but an active subject of image reproduction in this system. It is expected to be a foundation for a new style of user-centered movie (media based entertainment).

A Retrieval System of Environment Education Contents using Method of Automatic Annotation and Histogram (자동 주석 및 히스토그램 기법을 이용한 환경 교육 컨텐츠 검색 시스템)

  • In order to process video data effectively, it is required that the content information of video data is loaded in database and semantic- based retrieval method can be available for various query of users. In this paper, we propose semantic-based video retrieval system for Environment Education Contents which support semantic retrieval of various users by feature-based retrieval and annotation-based retrieval of massive video data. By user's fundamental query and selection of image for key frame that extracted form query, the agent gives the detail shape for annotation of extracted key frame. Also, key frame selected by user become query image and searches the most similar key frame through feature based retrieval method that propose. From experiment, the designed and implemented system showed high precision ratio in performance assessment more than 90 percents.

Also, key frame selected by user become query image and searches the most similar key frame through feature based retrieval method and optimized comparison area extracting that propose. Therefore, we propose the system that can heighten retrieval efficiency of video data through semantics-based retrieval.

Automatic Measurement Method of Traffic Signs Using Image Recognition and Photogrammetry Technology (영상인식과 사진측량 기술을 이용한 교통표지 자동측정 방법)

  • Recently, more accurate database information of facilities is being required, with the increase in importance of urban road facility management. Therefore, this study proposed how to automatically detect particular traffic signs necessary for efficient construction of road facility DB. For this study, central locations of facilities were searched, after recognition and automatic detection of particular traffic signs through an image. Then, coordinate values of traffic signs calculated in the study were compared with real coordinate values, in order to evaluate the accuracy of traffic sign locations which were finally detected. Computer vision technology was used in recognizing and detecting traffic signs through OPEN CV-based coding, and photogrammetry was used in calculating accurate locations of detected traffic signs. For the experiment, circular road signal(No Parking) and triangular road signal(Crosswalk) were chosen out of various kinds of road signals. The research result showed that the circular road signal had a nearly 50cm error value, and the triangular road signal had a nearly 60cm error value, when comparing the calculated coordinates with the real coordinates. Though this result is not satisfactory, it is considered that there would be no problem to find locations of traffic signs.
